The type of product should come with some kind of warranty or at least a possibility of repairs . Wasted money in 2 weeks time.

Terrible can’t fly it updates don’t work and the remote no longer connects

problems from the beginning never took the proper charge. not a good sign from beginning. returned product.

The software never downloaded correctly and never could fly the drone. I returned and bought the Mavic Pro by DJI.

Go Pro Karma have the worst customer tech support. I will not buy any Go Pro items ever again

Camera on this product broke within 3 weeks. This product is a poor choice.

When you get the Karma you are getting more than just a Drone. The Camera and Stabailization equipment is worth the money alone, the Drone is a PLUS! This is my second drone (Previous Parrot Bebop 1) The GoPro Hero 6 is an amazing and very durable camera. I do reccomend getting screen protectors for the lens and the touch screen. This saved my camera when I took it 4 Wheeling. Now to the Drone. It is a must that you fully charge all batteries in this package and complete all updates before your first flight. Trying to take shortcuts can lead to wasting your money. I love that the drone has its own remote with the screen on it. The video quality while in flight on the screen is extremly clear. It also displays all the information you need to make sure you are flying within regulations; hieght, speed, distance etc. The drone also will not let you take off in restricted zones. This is great to keep you out of trouble. I took my Drone to Saint Lucia and I was able to get some amazing coverage. I was a bit weary on the max distance so I did not fly it too far from me. There were a few times that the drones compass would not sync. I imagine it was due to the metal buildings around me. This was an easy fix by just moving away from them. I did lose signal twice during my 10 days there. Not sure what caused the loss of signal, but a simple restart of the equipment did seem to fix it each time. One time my camera lost connection and it caused the drone to return to take off point. I did have to manually take over becasue the drone nearly landed on a house. All in all it is not the perfect drone, but it is a Great Drone and I am very satsfied with it. I would not say that this drone is for beginners because there are cheaper drones available to learn to fly with before flying the Karma, but if you have the money than get it. The Karma does not have any sensors so if you do lose signal, hope that there are no trees or buildings around because the drone will not avoid them. The case for the karma is very nice and protects it well. I carried the case on the plane with me as a carry on with no issues. Flight time is about 18 solid minutes. I purcahsed a second Karma battery and it did have the issue where it did not insert into the Karma all the way. I had to push it to the right and it slid right in. now I have no issues. I hope that GoPro comes out with a new drone that has the sensors and follow me feature.

After the last update I stared noticing that the GPS signal reception was not that good and eventually it acquired signal and did several flights for a client that came out great. However, the next day after all the pre flight setup and taking off just as the stone started climbing no more than 100 feet away the drone started doing some erratic movement. I couldn't control the left right pan movement(left stick) and was left to use only the right control stick. The altitude(left stick also) was not working and around 150 feet away the radio control signal started failing leaving the drone on it's own. Unfortunately the drone did not return home and kept flying away until it of sight. I can't say anything negative about the camera the hero 6, I've owned all previous except the 3 and they are great cameras. That was the reason I got the drone and stabilizer combo as a gift. It was not my first choice as a drone but when you get a gift it is what it is. I gave it a try and initially it worked really good. I like the fact that you don't need a cellphone to control the drone but I think that the controller lacks the signal quality that dji or other drones have. The other thing I hate about the karma drone is the battery. They all discharge after a few days or weeks even if they are not connected to the drone. If you happen to fly into an area close to some structure, tree or whatever obstructs GPS signal it goes flying up automatically without sufficient warning, you have to be careful and ready to control in Sport mode if that happens. So now I'm left without a drone, no camera and still have the stabilizer the controller and 4 extra batteries. Even with all that I am so disappointed with the functionality, signal problems, range and low max speed that I'm going with my original dji choice, not to mention my wife is also mad about losing the gift. Sorry gopro but if you can't make a good drone even with a great camera for me it ain't worth anything.

flew it a few times, and my first drone, i absolutely love it, no problems at all, just make sure you do the updates and you will be all good, the camera should have better reviews, the recall they did at the end of 2016 hurt the reviews, and people not doing the upgrades to fix the issue didn't help as well. the camera is superb now. and getting 18min battery life now flying.

I’ve never been more infuriated and disappointed in a brand. Poor quality product and worst customer service team I have ever encountered!!! We purchased this drone bundle prior to our honeymoon in hopes to use it many more times as we began our family. After only having it for less than 6 months, that was cut short. We took every precaution in configuring it correctly before our last flight, got the green light to go and after only minutes of flying it, the device said it was losing wi-fi connection, which triggered its autopilot mode. During its auto-flight back to us it, it lost control and crashed into a pond below it, that it had autopiloted over. We spent hours trying to retrieve it, but could not and deemed it too dangerous to attempt again and near impossible to find any ways. We contacted customer service to see what our options were and were only met with robotic responses, a refusal to take any accountability and blame towards us as their consumers, with no real reasonable logic. There was absolutely nothing we could have done differently given the resources that GoPro had provided to have avoided that outcome. When prying to ask to see the flight logs they said they were confidential and would not share them with me, yet used that as an excuse to say that they decided it was not their fault. The main thing they used to blame it on user error was by saying we didn’t properly avoid the possible “wi-fi interference objects” and then they provided a list of objectives you should avoid when flying. The ONLY applicable object in this case was water! Yes, water! So all those advertisements you see on this page and throughout their website and other marketing materials with water on it, turns out you can’t actually do what they are falsely advertising and we should have known that as consumers!!!! For goodness sake, their main video has a man literally launch the karma drone off of his kayak in the middle of the ocean!!! But I should have known to not fly nearby a cranberry bog reservoir!? After months of arguing and being pushed from one terrible customer service representative to another, they offered to replace the least expensive parts, still requiring us to invest $700 for those parts to even work, and spend more money with a brand we no longer could trust. After even more arguing they offered a jokeable 20% discount. And finally, I spoke with an extremely rude and condescending customer service “supervisor”, who by no means should be in this business, that basically sternly told me to give up, take the discount and that they wouldn’t do anything else even if we found it. For a brand that thrives off of human experiences and leverages happy life milestones, they certainly ruined our honeymoon (all our footage was lost) and our babymoon, which we had hoped to use this on as well and were still arguing with them about, and did not deliver the least bit enjoyable customer service experience. I would NOT RECOMMEND buying products from this company unless you are okay wasting your money when they prematurely break and do not anticipate any understanding from the manufacturer. I hope this saves someone months of frustration in dealing with this company and some money.

I have been flying my Karma with the Hero 6 for several months now. I have flown it in several different conditions and despite being a little slanted in higher winds, the drone has worked well. Unfortunately I use the drone for a lot of sunset pictures and recently I lost it over the ocean when the connection was weak and the drone said it was returning to the launch site, but crashed into the water. Still am not sure what happened. I was trying to get it to override and go higher but it still descended. Good product but there appears to be an issue with the return to launch feature.

I can only speak on my experience and say what I got for 700 dollars was Amazing!!! The Backpack is made from Quality and sturdy material. Not to mention it makes traveling with the drone super convenient and you don't have to worry about it being damaged. The Camera I have is the Hero 6 which takes crystal clear videos and pictures and the battery life is Excellent. The Gimbal and Stabilizer Alone makes the package even More Worth It!! To be able to Fly with the Drone, or Detach the camera and use the Stabilizer for on the ground Videos and Pictures or Attach it to the Backpack for things like Hiking is GREAT!! You can even attach to Helmets for motion footage. I have flown mines during the Day, at Night, Windy, Cloudy, Sunny conditions with Minimum Issues. Yes it will lose signal if you go Too Far, but it will come back to it's starting position so you don't have to worry. Also many elements play a part in the Signal which is No Different then when you have WiFi or Cellular Data issues. Comes with the Territory it's a SIGNAL and they can All Fluctuate, be Strong at Times, be Weak at Times. My package came with an Extra Battery and spare Propellers. The Flight time on a fully charged battery is about 15 minutes which to some doesn't seem like a long time, but when your drone is up in the air thats Plenty of enough time to capture everything in the area you are interested in. All and All the Complete Package was Worth It to Me!!

This drone is an absolute blast to fly. I have flown many drones including just about everything DJI sells, and I gotta say GoPro really did something special with this kit. The only problem with this drone and why I give 3 stars is, the drone is not safe. This drone fell right out of the sky mid-flight. It fell over 100 feet before crashing into the ground and breaking into several pieces. The battery came loose during a maneuver and the drone lost all power. My unit was a post-recall unit and it still had the same problem. I got a replacement unit from GoPro and I returned it to best buy for a full refund. If they have finally been able to fix the battery connection issue, then this drone is an otherwise great aircraft.

We bought the Karma because we loved our Go Pro camera, which we have had for years. The Karama on the other-hand, was a mistake. On the 4th flight, the Karama took off on its own and we no longer were in control of it and we could not find it, as it crashed landed somewhere. After this happened, we did some research on this issue and it found that it has happened to multiple people. We ALSO found out that Go Pro is closing their drone department. Makes you wonder why??? I understand that technology can have issues, but once we contacted Go Pro they denied that it was a manufacturer issue, even though they could clearly see the quick change in direction on the tracking system, in addition to the many other consumers with the exact same issue. They have been slow in responding to emails and correcting the situation. Beware because if this happens to you, you lose more then just the drone. You’ll lose your new Go Pro and the stabilizer, which are the only pros to this set. The Hero 6 was great and the only reason I am giving this 2 stars. Also, note that Best Buy will do nothing to help you out in this situation. I think it says a lot that Go Pro is shutting down their Karma Division. I only wish I knew this before our purchase.

first time flying a drone, and it didn't take to much time to learn how to fly it. If you're like me that would like to capture personal and family images this is the one

I bought the drone 3 weeks ago and have been flying it everyday. I really liked the drone at first and it was a lot of fun flying it! But I flew it 150 feet up and 600 feet away... not far at all and it said landing now.. and I freaked out and drove my speed boat to go get it. It found connection 50 feet up it scared me but it didnt crash so I was very happy, so i kept flying it. Then i flew it today.. every time i flew it i double check everything cause i dont want it to crash! It went up like it normally does but then it toke off with out me touching anything!!! It went backwards and up!! I was in a open field with trees behind me! And it wouldn't hover! I was about 60 feet away from the trees! But I through it might of just been the wind.. but their was no wind!! And it hit one of the tree branches and survived but then went right in the tree next to it. I turned very sad cause I knew it was going down:,(, as it fell the camera broke off and all the pillars broke off.. and I no longer have a working drone:(.. I dont really know what happened.. it all happened so fast.. I would like to know why it crashed tho!

Everything works well and the video quality exceptional.
