Love the wide pov without the fisheye look. Able to 360° horizon lock. Comes with a rubber lens cover. Just keep in mind the lens scratches easily and there are no lens protectors since it is curved.

The lens worth it at all, super view and quality of picture get the best panoramas doing MTB

Excellent lens. Used for kitesurfing. Tested on a chest mount/harness. Next will be tested on a line mount about five feet above the kindle handle. Recommend ++

Surprisingly amazing! Wide angle with major stability. Go from landscape to portrait without any horizon locking issues.

The max lens will not lock into place. It seems like it’s an issue with others as well. My son and I both tried locking the Max lens into place with no luck! As a new go oro buyer.. I’m behind disappointed with all of the products so far.. including the go pro :(

I purchased this unit to use with my GoPros 9 and 10. Clear picture. I love the horizon lock feature. Only drawback is the max resolution is 2.7k. I wish I could record in 4k with this lense.

THIS ACCESORIE IS AWESOME. I PURCHASED THIS TO USE ALONG WITH MY GO PRO HERO 11. IM A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND USE THIS SET UP TO CAPTURE MY BEHIND THE SCENES IT ALLOWS ME TO ROTATE THE GOPRO IN ANY DIRECTION WHILE KEEPING THE VIDEO IN THE ORIENTATION I SET. IT ALSO HELPS WITH STABILIZATION AND GIVE ME A WIDER FIELD OF VIEW. I LOVE THIS IT ALSO CAME WITH A MICROFIBER CLOTH AND A SILICON COVER FOR THE LENS PERFECT TO KEEP SMUDGES AND SCRATCHES FROM THE LENS.

This comes in handy for those wide angle shots with horizon leveling. I should add that this mod is not required for horizon leveling. You can simply enable it on your GoPro 9 and turn the camera completely upside down and the camera will keep the horizon orientation level. The problem is it crops in so much your view is narrow. This lens is just a wide angle lens that remedies that and gives you a better FOV. One con is in this mode, you are limited to 2.5K

I'm not into extreme sports but I do love the stabilization and field of view that this little guy can do for you. It's a bit pricey but it's justified. Remember to use the lens cap when not in use. A tinny scratch can ruin your shots.

I imagine a team getting together and designing the go pro. then someone on the team had a bright idea and said, let's take it all apart and make ppl buy the pieces separately... after all, if you don't have a max lens mod, why would you buy a go pro? better luck with an iPhone. I got this at Bestbuy because it was on sale or maybe it was an open box, I can't remember. Either way, It lives in my go-pro hero 9. I really don't see why anyone wouldn't buy the max lens. this is what separates the doers and the actors.

This is a very nifty lens. Horizon lock is near gimble like. I handed my GoPro to my 6 year old and the footage looks pro. This is a must have accessory for the Hero 10. The extra field of view is also very nice.

Easy to install. The GoPro 11 Black can only go full lens mode at 1080p. On the GoPro 12, it is 4k with a wider field of view. The unit comes with a small case and a nom-static small towel to wipe the lens. You can use a portion of the plastic case to act as a lens protector when you are storing the GoPro. I think it is the top portion of the case.

I use this for a dash cam while riding my motorcycle and for riding off road as well. It’s a cool mod for sure, a little annoying it’s $100 on top of the already high price of a go pro. 4 stars due to the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of options with settings. Watch a YouTube review and you’ll understand all you need to know. I’d buy it again.

Works exactly as advertised. No more slanted horizons. Allows me to hold my GoPro upside down. Video is sharp and bright. The only negative is you can't record in 4K. 2.7K is max. Not a dealbreaker for me when I consider the added versatility this mod brings.

Already loved the great video the gopro shot, maixmizing the resloution i thought was not going to be worth it, but when it went on sale and an added discount for being a total tech member, i couldnt pass it up. Completley loved the max mod, it gives you so many other choices for video and it looks much better. I have a hero 9 black so i wouldnt pay regular price for the max mod buy it on sale, word of advice, with the max mod recording in the max resolution becareful because it might overheat the gopro. Other than that i love it!

Bought this for my GoPro hero 12, that I use when riding my motorcycle. The picture quality is amazing, the wide angle lets my GoPro cover the entire road

great little add on but not worth the the value. I hope this will still work on future generation of hero cams or else it would be a waste. Also, I did have trouble twisting it on the camera, had to really put a lot of force just to put it on.

I like being able to capture more area of where I’m pointing to. But on the 9, you can’t max out the resolution due to the processing power needed for the wider capture.

Great little piece to add even more to your Go-Pro. Took it on a trip to Hawaii and it definitely paid for itself. Well worth it.

I have been using this to record motorcycle rides and in my opinion it is awesome. It has replaced the standard lens on my GoPro 9. There are good YouTube videos on how to go into your settings to adjust for filming. I am looking for lens covers to store my lens that came with the GoPro 9. When you replace with the Max lens you do not have a cover to protect the other lens. I use the cover that comes with the Max lens to protect it on my GoPro. The other side of the Max lens case does not fit/hold the other lens
