Bought it to use with my GoPro Hero 8. Works but not as well as I would have liked. The ability to charge the battery without removing it from the Mod case is nice. It looks cool. It really is only somewhat better than the built in microphone. Expensive for what it does.

I think if you really going forward of getting your sport camera like this, you need to have this Media Mod so you can add more accessories external wireless microphone, and monitor. Good to have this item. Works perfect on my GoPro 8 Black!

Cant get the camera to see the media mod. Nice design easy to install.

The only benifit to this is that it is compact and only slightly betters the sound, and it also allows for the recording of sound from front, back, or both sides of your Gopro A rode mic would be way better, but not compact.

A necessary evil for the hero8. This gives you an audio input for an external mic and mounts for other accessories like lights or microphone systems. I just wish I didn't have to drop additional cash for the basic features missing from the base go pro

I honestly recommend everyone have this on your GoPro. The additions cold shoes make it convenient for adding additional peripherals for blogging.

2nd one purchased. Build quality could be better but great addition if your looking to capture audio and lighting via the auxiliary ports

Needs to improve, and for $80.00 it should've come at least with a mini HDMI cable included, nothing else but the media mode and instruction in the box.

I'm not a super experience GOPRO guy and I needed this Mod for the front facing camera screen. I purchased this strictly to better capture family moments and when traveling with friends.

The best thing I can say about this is that allows me to connect it to a power pack and record for hours on end without worrying about the battery life.

This is a better option than going just usb if you wanna use the GoPro s as an Extra camera, since I feel HDMI output gives you more quality and flexibility

Terrible experience. Payed for a brand new Media Mod for my GoPro 8 and Best Buy shipped me an open box one im pretty sure because it had missing parts and also the little manual had food/liquid spill stains on it. Not cool at all! Gonna take a while for me to buy from Best Buy online or in store. That is extremely unprofessional. Ended up buying the MediaMod directly from GoPro and so far it has worked great for Zoom webcam usage as the MediaMod has the HDMI out needed to go into HD Capture Card on laptop. I highly recommend the item.

I bought this to live stream. Yea not gonna happen without other add on items like a capture device. Since owning this for a month the item stopped being recognized by my GoPro Hero 8 Black. The documentation for this item lacks, there are no markings telling you anything. Charging with it on the camera was buggy had to pull the battery out to reset the GoPro and yes I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds. HDMI out? I was never able to get it to work. I will take it to best buy and try a new one so we will see.

Sadly it's a must have for getting the most out of the go pro with the lighting at night which is another necessity.

Great hub for all the other attachments. Mic quality noticeably upgraded!

This gopro cover is dependable able whenever you are trying to use power straight.
