A: For the Media Mod to connect to the HERO8 Black, the side door of the HERO8 Black needs to be temporarily removed. Without that door closed tightly, the HERO8 Black is not waterproof, so as long as the HERO8 Black is used in the Media Mod, it is not waterproof.
A: Display mod is available, mine plays on tv while recording! Is your firmware updated? That may be an issue.
A: Yes, you'll need to use a micro-HDMI to HDMI cable, but with the Media Mod, it's plug and play to display your content.
Q: Does this case provide protection for the GoPro? Will it keep it from breaking if it is dropped?
A: Kind of, but not really. I dropped my GoPro with this on it and it protected it, but scratched the media mod.
Q: Can I use this underwater of 35 meters ?
A: No, using anything without the original battery door takes away the waterproof seal. Media mod requires you to remove it.

A: It uses the mount that’s directly under the go pro there’s a hole for the camera mount under it.
Q: Can you mount the camera on a tripod when using the media mod?
A: Yes. The mounting fingers from the HERO8 Black are able to extend out through the bottom of the Media Mod so the GoPro can still be used with mounts even when the GoPro is in the Media Mod.
