    Since the GoPro Hero 8 Black has the front lens exposed, the protective housing is necessary to protect the lens from scratching. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

    Great protection and does what it's supposed to. Very bulky though. If your not using it for deep sea diving, I'd suggest getting the other protective case.
