Q: is this housing compatible with the Hero 7?
A: The HERO7 and the HERO8 Black are slightly different sizes, so you'll want to use the housing that's designed just for your HERO7.
Q: Do Hero 8 accessories fit a Hero 9?
A: Most mounts and accessories that connect to the GoPro will work on both the HERO8 and the HERO9 models. However, because the two models have different shapes and sizes, accessories like this housing that enclose the GoPro will not work between the models. You'll want to get a housing made specifically for your GoPro.
Q: Does it affect audio recording at all?
A: Yes, if you have the HERO8 Black in the full protective housing, there will be that barrier between the microphones and the source of the audio, so there will likely be some affect on the audio quality when the camera is in the housing.

A: This one will not fit the HERO 2018. There is a separate housing called the Super Suit that will work with the HERO 2018.
