At maximum settings the Hero 5 doesn't have that great of battery life. Buying an extra battery is just good sense. Pair this with the dual battery charger and you'll never have down time

Batter charges in approximately 30-45 minutes depinding on the charger. Haven’t had an issue with the name brand battery that seem to last longer than the off brand battery.

This battery is my third battery and has been used many times since I have a GoPro 3 and GoPro 6 and use them frequently. It's nice to have another battery ready to go.

you definitely don't want to lose that great picture or video. great to have a backup, or two. never going to miss a moment again. long lasting footage for long trips away from electricity.

I have been very pleased with the go pro battery. It has been working fine and I make sure they carry an extra battery or two when I plan on doing a lot of video.

If you plan on taking a lot of video footage on the Hero5 I would recommend purchasing this spare battery. Having said that, the battery life is surprising pretty good for such a small battery.

Don't go with the knock offs! This battery was designed to do the same as the original. I love not having to look for a charger when I run low on power.....I always keep my backup with me!

My boyfriend and I personally go to raves a lot so this always comes in handy for those long nights (before the virus hit of course)

I bought this particular type of GoPro because I needed to be able to charge batteries while still filming (some GoPros have to charge directly on the camera). This battery is easy to use.

I brought the dual charger so I could charge extra batteries. 2-3 batteries are a must especially when you are filming and having fun. You do not have time to stop and charge.

Great addition to my go pro equipment, adds much needed extra battery life / recording time ! And yes these batteries did change so only GoPro hero 5 batteteries fit in the GoPro hero 5.

I never got to actually use the spare cuz the battery life of the original was great. It lasted a whole day hiking and I recorded maybe 5hrs and the battery life was still pretty good.

Needed and extra GoPro battery and this one works well. Good battery life with fully charged. Doesn't take too long to charge.

I got ej extra battery due to the fact that I have more then 1 Go-Pro. I recommend getting an extra battery so that you can film and make memories twice as long.
