I have no complaints with the OEM GoPro batteries. I also fly drones but some of the "improved" third party batteries DON't have the same circuitry and batteries may fail due to inferior components/specs. They promise more time in the air but 3 months later, you need a new battery. Try to get warranty! GoPro cameras are quality products. They wouldn't be on top of the sport cam market with inferior battery products. Enough said.

I had to buy two of them. To replace the old ones. They recharge faster and last longer.

You WILL need more than the one battery that comes with the GoPro, unless you're only shooting a few short videos every time you use it. Nothing much else to say about this other than it's nice to have a fully charged spare battery ready to go when you're away from a power source and running low on juice.
