when i got my ps3, i didnt have internet on it, and started playing GTA4, didnt realize i was missing out on trophies till i got internet on my ps3, and it basically just smacked me in the face, and i was faced to restart my game...i had just gotten into Algonquin too....however, being able to recap those missions, i did it. and i sat there from 11 am till 12 pm....yeah.....best hours that week, no jokes. the online play is great, even though its almost a year old, it still has tons of people online. i would 100% recommend this to a friend, and might have to start gifting it =D! haha

I really wasn't too big of a fan of the GTA franchise back when it first came out. I didn't understand why people liked it so much. So when I decided to buy this game I was taking a chance that I wouldn't like it. But now I love the game and can't let go of my controller! Now that this game is in HD it makes it 15x better!!! If you don't have this game as part of your PS3 collection, then you wasted money buying your PS3! This game was made for the PS3! Pick up your copy today, I recommend getting the limited edition version for a couple extra bucks; trust me it'll be worth it!

Gta 4 is like the other Gta games except for the controllers and better graphics. I only got this game a few hours ago. I was so anxious since to play it. When you first crash your car or punch people in the face or stomach, or go through the window of your car cause you are going too fast you will be amazed. The graphics have never been what rockstar cares about. But the physics rock. I have not used a gun yet but I have been shot at by the cops. The television shows are awsome as well. The controls are weird at first. But you get use to them.

First thing that should be said about this game is: ITS NOT FOR KIDS! PERIOD! Now. With that being said... If you're a fan of the GTA series, then you're gonna love this game. It's a prettier, more expansive version of previous installments, with some of the control issues form the past addressed. The only real issue I have is with the camera, which sometimes makes chasing your target more difficult than it has to be. The gameplay itself rocks. You have carte blanche to do pretty much what you want, and it's all FUN!

I love this game. I hadn't played GTA since I had the PS1. This is such a stark contrast to the one that I remember playing years ago. The graphics are great and the characters are so ridiculous that I just fell in love with them. My favorite gameplay moments are when Niko is blown up (his body launches into the air in the funniest way) and being able to shoot missiles and stuff at innocent pedestrians. The music playing on all of the different radio stations is great. What else can I say, I love this crazy game!!

This is the best playstation 3 game ever and probably the best game ever. Also, I love how when best buy sells a used game they rap it up like if it's new. Yet, even though it's used they play like there new. Great game and great idea for best buy to start selling used games

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST, MOST FUN, GREATEST GRAFIX, FUNNY AND COMPLETELY ENTERTAINING GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! THERE IS A TAD TOO MUCH CUSSING FOR MY TASTE BUT THATS THE ONLY BAD THING I HAVE TO SAY. I LOVE THIS GAME AND WILL BE PLAYING IT FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME! BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED AND I HAVE PLAYED ALL OF THEM! *(ALMOST) I RECOMEND TO ANY TEENAGER WITH STRICK PARENTS! HAHA! GO BUY IT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GAME THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE WITHOUT GETTING BORED AT ALL EVER!

This has to be the best game in a long time i have played the intire gta saga. even the old version from a helocopter view. that was fun for its time but this game has it all. close up of all the cars even after a crash is fenomanal. the better the car the better the handeling. and its real fun finding all the neet stuff. like jumps and guns and little side stories. great fun great time verry addickting. a must play for all "adults" kids should not be exposed to this kind of game.

I git this game the day it came out and was soo excited to play it, it did not let me down! This game is sooooo realistic its not funny, from crashing to driving its life-like. Now some people complain about it freezing and the driving but i have a 80gb and mine has yet to freeze, and i beat the game. Also the driving is just more life-like and is no way difficult, you just have to learn how to drive. Overall this is the best game i own, or have even played. Way better than Halo3.

This game is a awesome game, the graphics here are beyond my speculation, the scenery reminds me of nuc in a exciting way, the cars are hot in every way and i love how the car gets full damage like how you drive a real car and i love how when you crash you see the impact of niko falling and how he gets up, the music is great for all ages no matter how old you are, i also love the way where you can hide behind walls and road blocks and the guns are superb. i give this game a 10/10

Honestly I didn't know what to expect after San Andreas. I thought what more can you do. Grand Theft Auto IV not onlyl met my expections but exceeded them. The moral decisions you make throughtout the game can change the outcome. Actually right now I'm going through the game a second time making decisions then last time. The visuals effects with the new tech engine are awesome. When I hooked this thing up to my flat screen it was great. Building relationships with the people can become quite annoying. It kinda of interrupts the fun of the game.

This game is great! But the controls will take a little getting use to. Will go down as best game of 2008. ....and probably 2009.....2010, etc.

If you're a fan of the GTA game series, this is the one to get above all. It takes all of the things you love about GTA III, Vice City, and San Adreas and kicks it up 500 notches. The things you can do on this game are limitless. Great for roaming around and doing whatever you want. Even moreso than the previous titles. This game should go down as the game of the year easily. Can't wait for the next one, whatever and whenever that is. How about GTA Windy City?

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE GTA FRANCISE AND HAVE CONTINUED TO BE BLOWN AWAY BY EACH RELEASE. THIS IS ONE THAT HAS TOPPED THEM ALL. LOOKING FORWARD TO GTA V. THIS GAME IS LOADED WITH GREATNESS...THE GRAPHICS TO THINGS TO ANOTHER LEVEL...GAMEPLAY IS AWESOME...I LOVE HOW IT KEEPS THE GTA FORMAT ALIVE...THE ONLY THING IS THE CELL PHONE & RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE...

Really there's not much to say about this game, its great, awesome, fun, long and violent. I don't think you'll disagree with 90% of the online sites just as IGN, Gamespot, 1up and so on who gave this game a 10/10, A+, 5/5, 100/100 and so on. Driving is quite different from the past GTA games but it's not that difficult, you just have to get used to it. I strongly recommend this game for everyone. Not much more to say, just get it, play it and enjoy it.

This game is the best GTA game in the series. At first when i played this game i had to get used to the controls due to playing it on the xbox 360, but i adjusted easily and so can anybody. The graphics are not real insane like halo graphics, but it is still alot better than San Andreas graphics. The xbox live part is one of the funnest aspects about the game. Team Deathmatches and races are some of the features featured on xbox live. I reccomend this game to anyone over 14 and you will never regret buying it !!!!!

This game is going to be way better than eny other GTA game and it is going to support up to 16 players online so now you will be able to play with friends so I highly recemmend it to everywon.

As with the other GTAs, there is a wide range of things you can do in this version. Whether you're doing the missions, causing mass chaos, or playing one of the many small games (pool, bowling, darts, etc) it's easy to mix things up. If you haven't liked the previous GTA's then I wouldn't recommend this one either as it's a lot of the same type of thing. If you have liked the prior ones then you will enjoy this as well. It's not my favorite in the series but it is fun and the graphics are better.

I really enjoyed all the time I spent playing this game. The graphics were very realistic, but still "cartoony" enough to make me feel I was playing a game and not some weird mob simulator. The movement controls are great and intuitive, although the driving is sometimes hard to control. The only time the driving bothers me is when I am in a higher end sports car. I know that a junk car is supposed to drive poorly, but it seems as if the really nice cars drive even worse. It would be nice if the fast cars were actually good at cornering like an actual sports car would be. The gameplay area is enormous which is great, but sometimes it takes a very long time to get to a destination. This isn't such a big deal unless you have to travel 10 minutes at the beginning of a mission...then if you fail, you have to spend 10 more boring minutes driving around. It would be nice to have a checkpoint after a certain point so I don't waste so much time just driving around. I guess that's a silly complaint for a game called Grand Theft Auto, but that's one thing that would cause me to quit playing for the night. Multi-player is fun, but kind of confusing. The objective isn't always clear, and the gameplay area is a little too big for an online multiplayer. I would sometimes drive around for 10 minutes just to find the opponents. That really takes away from the action. Also, if you back out of a multi-player game, it takes you all the way to single player, then you have to restart multi-player which basically wastes 5 minutes of your time with all the absurd load times. This also brings to mind the fact that you have to start single player to start multiplayer. Why can't there be a menu that takes care of this? That would save tons of time. In summary, the gameplay is awesome, the plot is great and really immerses you in the game, but there are some little quirks that really annoyed me. This is definitely worth playing.

this is definitly one of the longest games ive ever played. i think that most of my time in between missions is spent on driving around in a stolen car and crashing it into something and getting the cops called on me then trying to defend myself from swarms of police... it gets addicting. it has some cool missions but the storyline is seriously very long as the classic rise of a minority to get to the big times.
