    A great game

Grand Theft Auto 4 is an amazing game. It has extraordinary graphics, a huge free-roaming world, really cool weapons, and its really long and pretty challenging. And also, when you do finally get through it, there is always the online play that you can play. The only con I have with this game is that your cell phone rings A LOT! But you can just ignore the calls by pressing B. Overall this is a great game that should be bought, especially by GTA fans.

This game is totaly outstanding. The graphics are sharp, the game-play is smooth. I enjoy playing this game. Even after the game is complete, there is still hours of extra side-missions that can be played. With the many things you can do in the game and also the hours you can spend playing multiplayer it is worth picking up. The gameplay is so much better than its previous series. I recommend picking up this game to anyone who likes free roam games.

this game is def living up to its hype and is turning out to be well worth the delays and setbacks. take-two really outdid themselves with this one, i can see why electronic arts wants to have this title under their name. the graphics and gameplay make this one of the most realistic GTA's and games in general i have ever played. and even though this is the first time they are trying a multiplayer aspect, like the rest of the game they nailed it.

Great Game from a Great Series

Ive seen alot of websites that give this game a 10. I wouldnt say its a 10 cause I feel the multiplayer aspect isnt as great. Although the option of running around with your friends causing havoc is great, the other modes are far from being perfect. Other than that, the SP experience is great. There is so much to do in this game and you can easily get lost in Liberty City. Definitely recommended to release some stress from the real world.

    not the best GTA

The graphics are really good and the gameplay is fun. online play is really good, just like the game but with other ppl. unlike the older games, you cannot buy property and have it accumulate money. It is a toss up b/n buy and rent. It takes a long time to beat, and if you like the online play, get it. Mayber rent it first to be sure tho.

Very Repetitive - Dot to dot driving

    Posted .

With all the hype that this game has brought about, I have to admit, this was a step back from what Vice City and San Andreas brought to the plate. The missions can really get repetitive. Really, it's drive from 1 dot on your GPS to pickup somebody, drop him/her off and cover him/her, kill the enemies, drive him/her back - get paid. It gets all too repetitive. Even the so-called main storyline missions are too predictable. Go from 1 dot on your GPS to another to "take care" of this that or the other, drive all the way back (sometimes you even have to steal a cop car) and get paid. It's just way too juvenile and predictable. There isn't as much miscellaneous things to do as there was in San Andreas and Vice City. As for graphics, for a next-gen game - it's subpar at best. Most of the characters still have that cartoonish quality to them and motion blur seems to be the key to smoothing out the graphics. The storyline can be humorous, but it's all over the place. After finishing probably 60% of the game, I got incredibly bored and just put it on my shelf. It wasn't exactly all the hype I thought it would be. I had more fun playing Oblivion than I did playing GTA 4.

    Best GTA Game ever

This is by far the best GTA out of the whole franchise. The gameplay is so realistic you can see people walk down the street and interact with each other. The feel while driving and when you take corners. The depth of the game is very good great plot. The only bad thing is that It is not appropriate for kiddies under 17. This is the one game were the M rating actually is put in for a reason and makes sense.

People don't understand this game. I have to admit, in the beginning I wanted to return the game. It was confusing, boring, and stupid. But I didn't want to gave up on a game that got 99 out of 100 on many various magazines, so i continued to play. As i progressed in the game, the missions became alot more adventorous, and amazingly fun! Don't let the beginning trick you, keep playing.

This is just an awesome game! I haven't played the GTA series since the original and I can't stop playing GTA IV. I really enjoy the ability to just roam the city and do whatever, and then perform one of the missions. The scenery is spectacular and the choice of vehicles to "jack" are excellent. Some of the missions are repetitive and relatively easy, but most are still enjoyable.

Just like the other GTA games, this one is just plain fun. Graphics are obviously improved. Missions are still the same old "find this guy, shoot him" type. But the repetitiveness of the game can be overcome just by spending an hour running around and being destructive. Tons of fun, no regret in buying it. $60 is a bit steep for console games, but I guess I have to get used to it.

    Best GTA to Date

The folks at GTA must have merged with the creators of "The Sims", because this game is way more detailed and lifelike than any GTA before it. This is the closest to an AI game that I have expereinced yet. Even down to the parts of the game where you decide whether to follow your orders or let your target live -- like those books where you choose the path. Great game!

I like games that have an involved storyline, decent voice actors and a variety of play within the game. It lasts long enough to make it worthwhile. While I wish there were more non-killing options for the main character, it IS a GTA game and I knew what I was getting. Also, I like games that I can play solo, so the GTA games work for me.

    EXCELLENT!!!

This game is great. One pro I want to tell you about is that if a vehicles door is locked, you bust the window out. There are only a few minor cons about this game. Okay lets start. If you plan on buying this game to immediatly drive in NYC, which I did, you may be disappointed. You have to complete a little over 23% of the game before you can drive in NYC. However, you CAN drive over there if you want, you just have to evade the 6 star wanted level, which you cant. The last con about this game is the toggle control. When you steer around corners in a vehicle, the corner is blind only for a moment, due to the toggle controls. Overall, this game deserves 5 stars. If you haven't bought it yet, GO NOW AND BUY IT!!! You will enjoy it. WAIT, one last minor con, the cops on the game will point their weapon at you when your close to them and try to place you under arrest until you bust out of in front of them, if you don't bust out from in front of them, your going to jail.

I have played all the other games and loved them, but this is for sure going in the record books. You can do anything like run over people, shoo them, and just plane out have some fun. I got this the day it came out at about one in the morning and havent stopped playin it since. Its great the missions are great and just at the rite difficulty.

Well I enjoy everything about this game, Now the driving is more realistic which makes it harder to control the vechiles then the other GTA's but once you get use to it you have no problem. Shooting and fighting is also improved here with Auto Aim enough said here. Anyway if you haven't got the game yet I suggest going out and buying it now!

    More Hype Than Game

    Posted .

I got this game mainly for the city and multiplayer because I love games with massive cities to explore and online gaming is totally awesome! I quickly found myself pulled into the story forgetting all about the original reason for my purchase; however, as I continued playing the flaws became more present than I had ever imagined. The game is supposed to feature news bulletins from the GTAIV network, and it doesn't. I was hoping so much that I'd get an opportunity to listen to news bulletins on what other players were doing. Also, the multiplayer is not well coordinated. I spent 30 minutes trying to find an open game without any luck, I finally gave up and returned to the single player game. For a game that is supposed to have a large following, the multiplayer is rather weak which really turned me off. Beyond multiplayer, the single player campaign is awesome. In the sprawling city that never sleeps, there's always something to do.
