Too easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was way too easy to beat. Splitting the story up between 3 main characters was terrible. All missions were not challenging at all and the money was pointless since you always get new weapons and plenty of ammo within the missions.

Simply the BEST GAME OF THE GENERATION.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GTA V is an amazing game. It includes SO MANY FEATURES, that even Rockstar had trouble explaining the extraordinary amounts of Information to previewers. The GTA V world is extremely detailed, and you can befriend so many characters within the game. There are hundreds of missions to do, and side missions like all different types of heists and such. There are many minigames including tennis, parachuting, basejumping, motorcross, jetskiing, swimming, bowling, shooting range, hunting.. It is just incredible. The previewers I have heard of had a hard time believing that this game is being released in 2013, because the technology this game uses is mind-blowing. You are able to use your microphone to talk to NPCs in the game while doing a heist(robbery), and depending on your voice urgency, the person will put the money in the bag for you quicker. The AI are so smart they are almost like humans. There over 350 vehicles, including planes, all cars, trucks, karts, police cars, ice cream trucks, ambulances, ships, yachts, snowmobiles, motorbikes, and the list goes on and on. The graphics are the best of this generation. THEN there is GTA Online, which no one has the willpower to explain how great it is. Just watch the video yourself. You can take part in hundreds of missions with any of your friends in the massive GTA online world. You can do anything you can think of, from flying planes on the beach with your friends, or parachuting off the tallest mountain. You can also buy property in game, and bring your friends in. There is also an in-game TV in your apartment, and you can watch what is going on in the world through the TV, for example if they have a wanted level and are being chased by the police, a live feed-news like channel will show it in your in-game house/property. Then there is a content creator to make your own missions online. There is too much stuff to even write, just get the game and you will easily understand why this game is going to get the highest rating of all time, it deserves an 11/10 platinum.

Rockstar Creates the Ultimate "Life" Simulator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having played a few previous GTA 3 and GTA Vice City, I can say that I had never been impressed with Grand Theft Auto. Often, the open world would leave me bored as I would not be drawn into the story enough to keep moving forward. Combined with the time necessary to travel, repetitiveness of the missions, I felt as though I would never play open world games again. After much time though, I saw the trailer for Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer looked stunning featuring planes, scuba diving, and multiple playable characters. After reading about the improvements Rockstar, the developer, has made in other games (Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club, and LA Noir) I knew that it would be unfair to write this off as "just another GTA". Upon putting in the disc (PS3), you are greeted with an 8GB installation. This took about 15 minutes on my PS3 Slim, your mileage may vary though. The game immediately begins with the characters in a fantastic tutorial that not only introduces some characters, but also gets you intrigued by the plot early. The tutorial is interesting and fun, though the tutorial text in the upper left of the screen was hard to read on my screen (1080i on a 42" Plasma TV). This was easily supplemented / fixed by the print manual or the iOS "GTA Manual" application but did lead to an unnecessary death rather early in the game. Upon playing this, you immediately will notice that many of the controls have been refined in comparison to previous GTA games. The shooting feels much tighter (it's easier to aim clearly and quickly, switching weapons is simple and doesn't get in the way), the driving is better (cars and trucks feel as though they drive like the type of car they are. Sports car handle amazingly while a tow truck is much slower and harder to maneuver). This makes for a much more enjoyable experience and thus far in my travels have fixed the issues I have had. Unlike previous games, this also features one huge update, a quick save/autosave which fixes the need to drive for 15 minutes each time you fail a mission. Now, you can pick it back up and keep trying making the game more involved and less repetitious. The graphics in Los Santos, the city in which GTA V occurs, are fantastic. Explosions feature depth and clarity, the characters are well detailed and thus far I have not seen any technical issues where textures appear randomly. The views from the different parts of the city are amazing as well, with nice sunsets and sunrise, beautiful villas, and more. The audio is fantastic as well, featuring Dolby Digital surround sound, which uses all the speakers to create a wonderful and involving soundtrack. Whether providing off-screen directional cues, subtle background noise, or enveloping you in your favorite radio station, Grand Theft Auto V provides a wonderful soundstage. Overall Grand Theft Auto V feels like a new game. With the revised controls, improved graphics, and new mechanics, I feel like this game address most if not all of the biggest issues I have with open world video games. The story thus far is captivating and enticing and is keeping me coming back for more. I would highly recommend this game even if you do not consider yourself a huge fan of previous entries into the series. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I am.

Extremely offensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was prepared for the game to be mature but they go out of the way to be as extremely offensive as possible the entire time. In the first mission alone I believe you hear the two main characters call each other the "N" word at least 50 times in probably 5 minutes.

Never worked
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The install never worked for me no matter how much I tried. I tried different games and reformatting my hard drive and nothing worked. It's really depressing since every other new game I get I can play them just fine.

New story & cars, same bad controls
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've play GTA before then this is a must have. Map is huge, graphics are good. The problems from previous GTAs are still there, terrible player controls. (yes, I've tried all the setting in the menus) Its frustrating to fail missions because there are awkward views and while driving cars its hard to see far ahead because of the weird viewing set up. Still the game is worth buying and I don't regret the purchase at all.

Well worth the wait.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GTA V is the game everyone has been waiting for and man does it deliver. GTA IV was good but not great and it seems Rockstar really took their time and corrected everyones complaints and made the best game that these systems can handle. Oh. and even better? The map is larger than any other Rockstar game ever made AND there is a whole online add on that hasn't been released yet. (comes out october 1st) This game is well worth the money for the 18+ (please keep your kids away from this game. Seriously, make them play outside or something instead) gamer in search for a game that will stand the test of time. Great game, Highly recommended.

The Best GTA Yet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played each of these games over the years, and its fascinating, being probably the oldest game franchise of all, they have been a part of almost every single tech development cycle to date. Anyway, fun game, same ideas.
