This was not as easy as I had hope for my 83 year-old mother. Kept it too long and couldn't return it.

I bought this for my mom who has Alzheimer's. Even as simple has it is, she can't understand anything new. I wish we would have gotten this sooner while she was still comprehending more.

I am concerned about the lack of battery life. Even on standby the battery will drain in about 16 hours. Also I signed up for the base amount of internet 40mbs, and setting the phone up I used about 8, since then I have not used it, but now it shows that I have used 17mbs. It looks like I will be over my 40 by the end of the month without even using it.

After researching many phones for my elderly mother, finally decided on this one. Larger phone with large display and easy to follow instructions. The only draw back is when deleting call history, it appears to be an all or nothing feature. She would like to be able to delete some calls and keep others in her history.

After some days of trying to set up the WI-FI before entering the touch phone options so that I wouldn't be forced to use texting, I decided to return the phone to Best Buy. The manual and short-cut booklet provided with the phone were excellent. The WI-FI connection was awful and never activated.

We haven't had a chance to turn this on yet, but my dad likes the big screen and the big everything!

We purchased this cell phone for a friend who needed a simple cell phone. We would definitely recommend.

My only problem with it is if you have a hearing problem the speaker is not really loud at all.

This is a great smart phone for Older Adults. Great features and the plans are super cheap! If we could only get Nanny to put her glasses on and read the book for the how to information. It is frustrating, but that's how it goes. Hopefully, we will succeed in getting her connected to the Grands and Great Grands!

I bought this phone for my father in law. He is old school and didn’t want to upgrade from his flip phone.

The Jitterbug is exactly what my mom wanted. She is 79 years old and had a simple phone for texts and calls but wanted a little more. She finds it very easy to use and the directions are clear.

the smart phone is the best phone from great call and best buy for people who have problems seeing and even not. i bought the phone for the peace of mind it gives me when i travel. it works good and pairs with my car easily. thanks a lot.

I purchased this Jitterbug for my 93 year old father who only wants to use it as a phone and voicemail. He can't text and doesn't use the internet. He loves that we can make it simple for him to use. It does have the ability to do lots more but then we can choose just the minimum.

While most smart phones are several hundred dollars, I purchased 2 Jitterbug smart phones for under $200 at Best Buy! Easy to learn to use, even though it's my first smart phone. Representative very helpful and knowledgeable in setting up phone, and determining best plans. Overall, very satisfied!

I'm not a professional reviewer - purchased this phone for my 72 year old mother-in-law after seeing ads in AARP and other marketing materials promoting this for seniors. My mother-in-law struggles with technology, so we were looking for something in a cell phone that was simplistic enough for her to use confidently, and the Jitterbug phone was right on the mark. Easy enough for even her to use, large display is easy to read, and we get some peace of mind with the emergency alert function. BONUS: the monthly service rates through GreatCall are much lower than any of the major carriers.

You can only roll over 2 months worth of minutes. All of the taxes really raise the price. Texts are 10 cents each coming and going. None of this is made clear when purchasing. You cannot purchase a case at Best Buy.

Got it for my Mom, she's 86. I think she likes it, but she really only wanted a phone to talk and text. You can't remove the other apps on this phone (e.g., email). I don't think what she wants exists in a smartphone, but otherwise it's fine.
