Although the cord is thick , it seems as though the cords silver connectors are always metal on metal. This shows no signs of shorting. Plus , it's guaranteed for life.

Works well! A bit stiff in the super cold.

I plug it into the car and then my phone is mounted on my left on the front window. In the winter, it freezes and is in my line of sight until it warms up. Other than that it's great!

Spend the extra money, buy this cable.

At least four times plugging it I to my phone for GPS or basic audio, and it feels sturdy. I don't feel like I'm going to break the cord as I have with so many other cheaper cables.
