I prefer this layout, I was never that good at hitting the 5th button on the old version and I find the new one easy to learn, but difficult to get really good at. The two-pack version with the bundled microphone is a fairly good value compared to the single-controller version. While the instructions say the neck can't be removed, rotating the triangle shaped latch in the back enables them to be removed.

Like the new button mapping
