Literally played it for half hour and will probably never play it again. Played hundreds of hours on the older ones.

I like the original ones much better. I like the original animated bandmembers. I'm not too fond of playing online.

Cool feature how you can watch videos. The guitar portion of the video play along is lame.

The old guitar hero games had 5 buttons in a row. This one has them 3 x 3. No bueno!

I thought that this would have more songs and venues in the offline mode.

First, I'm not a musician or anything like that, unfortunately i don't play any instrument, of course i like music but that's a gift i don't have. Guitar design it's actually easier for fingers motion, buttons are closer and it's easily to move around, game however it's trickier than before, more on higher difficult levels. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase, i got offer of 3x2 so my friends and me took advantage of it! also, it cames with a mic for free.

The game is great and the new guitar feels awesome. The setlist is perfect with over 100 songs. It feels like you're learning guitar hero all over again because of the new button layout.

I love playing rhythm games like rock band and previous guitar hero titles, but the new elements in guitar hero live are just no fun and the game feels like you have no options.

Good quality but boring. Not happy that they changed the way Guitar Hero on the PS3 had songs that we liked and picked to play at our choosing.

Such a great game! It's like a playable version of MTV. You can sit and watch music videos all day, and jump in and play any of the songs. Being able to play against anyone around the world is another awesome bonus. The button layout is completely different than the older versions, so it was a nice change to take an old game and make it new.

I have never played guitar hero before, picked up this on sale. Played this with my friends and we had a blast. The live video shots with actual singers and bands were amazing. It was pretty easy to learn how to play the guitar, granted I was on the easiest setting. Also love the songs and playlists that come with the game. This is now one of my all-time favorite games.

It's a good guitar hero game, although it is more difficult than the predecessors with the six button setup.

Guitar Hero live is a lot of fun. The new controller layout is much more indicative of playing a real guitar but still not the same. However, the core UI has been cleaned up significantly and it's just a smooth all around experience I would definitely recommend if you are questioning buying it.

I have never played guitar before. It seems really hard from the tutorial. Now still having fun set the difficulty lower to casual.

Game fun as always. Online GTV is fun and adds a lot of additional songs. New guitar is very challenging.

Well, I don't really understand why Katy Perry, Rihanna, or Skrillex, are on the setlist. Isn't this Guitar Hero? However, the game is great! Oh, and the new guitar rocks. I love it!

I've played a whole lot of rhythm games and mostly all of the Rock Band and Guitar Heroes. This one feels fresh. The button placement is difficult to master and the GH TV component is fun and addictive. The only caveat is that you must use "tokens" to play songs on demand, which means you either have to grind through random songs or pony up real cash to play the music you really want. Despite that issue, it's still a really great game an totally worth it at $70.
