I had quite a bit of trepidation before I purchased this machine as the reviews were a mixed bag. I am single and this machine is perfect for 1 or 2 people. The machine is quiet an leaves clothes clean. The dryer works great and dries clothes completely. I am very pleased with my purchase and I hope to get many years of use from this machine. I will add DO NOT purchase the added acessories that Best Buy recommends they are NOT needed and I had to return all the items because the machines plugs into a standard outlet. All in all I feel very confident in my purchase.

If I could give this product 0 stars I would. We bought this washer/dryer combo unit a week ago, installed it, and ran a cycle with detergent and no laundry as the manufacturer suggested. At the end of this cycle, an error code came up and we have been unable to use the machine. At all. After multiple calls to the manufacturer's help line, they sent a repairman. He suggested we return the machine as it will be weeks before he can get the parts and get back to try to fix it. We are on the phone to Best Buy now to see about the return policy, but we are completely unimpressed with Haier and its products.

We bought our W/D combo in April. End of May the dryer stopped working. It used to dry a set of sheets fully after about 2-3 hours. Well it stopped drying everything and what we would get after 4-5 hours on the "dry cycle" was damp clothes. We contacted (haier) to have it repaired. 3 times having technicians come out, we are told it probably needs to be replaced. Well today, after waiting 2 weeks for word on the replacement, we are told that the machine "is operating correctly" and that it "takes the moisture out of clothes". The customer service has been great up until now, but when the machine isn't working and they've (Haier) said it would be replaced and now they are feigning excuses I suggest not to buy. It's too expensive of a machine to just be a washer.

I bought this from Best Buy and did not purchase the Best Buy protection I've had it in my house for 3 business days and the locking mechanism failed. Best Buy is ZERO assistance unless you purchase their protection. EVEN on BRAND NEW items they sold, installed and is less that a WEEK in the home. I've purchased ALL my previous home's appliances and never had any issue. I've always been so happy with my Best Buy service I've recommended them for years!!!! After this forget it! If Best Buy doesn't stand behind their products I'll go elsewhere.

haier hlc1700axw is the worst product I have ever bought. After it finishes, the washer is still full of water and all the clothes are full of water. Spent 1 hour removing all the water from the washer, then I had to spend another 3 hours to do laundry again. Useless product.
