I love the band and i love their music! Always love how they change their sound from album to album but they are still somehow the same!

If you're a fan of A7X - especially from the City of Evil and on era, then you'll definitely love this album. Those that are more a fan of the Waking the Fallen or Sounding the Seventh Trumpet may not be as engaged. Personally, I can feel a change in the musical structure due to the absence of the Rev, but this is still no doubt a masterful album. The recording quality is first class, the guitar rhythms are groovy, the leads and solos soar, the drums are pounding, and M. Shadows voice is on point. My favorite A7X album? Absolutely not. However, this is a must have in my collection, and there are many songs here that are now a staple in the A7X catalog. Here's the test of a truly excellent album - there's not a single song I want to skip. I am happy to listen to the entire record cover-to-cover. You just can't say that about most albums these days, and A7X has found a way to do it again!

Awesome album and even more awesome in concert!!!!

I got this before I went to see these guys. There is a lot of stuff I like here. The twin lead guitars are great. The drumming / bass / rhythm section is top notch. So much to like but it just doesn't do anything for me. I have nothing against M Shadows. I just think this music deserves a vocalist with better range. I know Avenged Sevenfold has a rabid fan base and I don't wish to slam this band or album. It just doesn't do anything for me.

This is a great album. The bands continues to expand their range. Those who like Rock will enjoy it. It covers sounds from the 70s to today. Has a classic rock feel and has something for everyone. The band is really tight and the music just keeps getting better. Hail!!!!

I really like the album. People that are fans of early AX7 will hate this . Fans of the last three AX7 albums will love it. AX7 is easily the most competent musicians in metal today. The only thing I didn't like is how the opening riff to "this means war" sounds just like "sad but true" by Metallica!

This is Avenged Sevenfolds best CD in years. I think it's the best since their debut album. It's harder and grittier than they last two. If you're a metal head, get this!

This Album is awesome! Avenged Sevenfold did it again! Everyone who is a fan of Metal, Old School Metal, or Rock in general should buy this album!

Great album from beginning to end. you can hear the influence of 80's metal though out the whole thing.
