    Prior to Halo 3 I never played Halo, however, this game was very fascination despite the fact that I had no prior knowledge to the ongoing story line. I typically don't like to play first person shooters, but this game was an exception. I didn't buy in to the hype at first, but after playing Halo 3 I can see why this game is such a fan favorite.

    This game was meant for online play - and that's it. If you played the campaign solo feature of this game - it's very short and customized to make any newbie to the Halo genre comfortable. The over-marketing and over-hype of this game put my expectations up too high. For a FPS game, it's very so so and unless you play online against other players - this game is very bland. So if you don't intend to take advantage of Xbox Live Gold (they give you a free trial card) - then I suggest another FPS. The so-called "gore and violence" is toned down "Star Wars style" and I think the rating of "M" is slightly over-exaggerated. Other than that, I was really disappointed with this game due to the over-hype and over-marketing.
