Was excited for this release and was not disappointed. Great game play, graphics were good, storyline well thought out and they set themselves up nicely for Halo 6

I have been an avid Halo fan for years and I was very excited for this game to come out. I got the game for a deep discount because of the reward and gamers club program so the pricing was great. The game itself is an amazing title that has deep multiplayer gameplay with smooth controls and brilliant visuals. I originally thought that Halo 2 would always be my favorite Halo for multiplayer but this one is definitely amazing. Haven't delved to much into the campaign yet, but from what I have played it is not stop action. some of the cut scenes are truly amazing. Must GET if you own an XBOX ONE!

First time playing Halo in a while. Had a blast! Love the vibrant colors and active multiplayer. Works great on my X. Consistent 4K and 60FPS.

Great game. Campaign and multiplayer are very good. Only downside is that there is no split screen multiplayer option. Hopefully this will be corrected in Halo 6.

First off, I waited to buy this to wait for the hype to die down. Needless to say, it didn't, I bought it, and haven't been disappointed since. The story in the campaign is good and the multiplayer is great. Free DLC for new maps are also another perk unlike other games that require you to pay another $20-50 to get more maps. I've had this since Thanksgiving and I can say that there isn't any burnout by playing it hours on end. The multiplayer combines some classic favorite components with some new aspects that only improve on the previous games. You won't be disappointed with this game.

I'm providing a 4 star review due to the fact that I was disappointed with the game's removal of split-screen capabilities. This was on the the main factors that kept me fascinated with the Halo Franchise - being able to "pwn" my buddies and hearing the common phrase "screen-looking". However, the campaign itself was well thought out. My first run through the game was on Legendary mode. I was surprised as to how difficult some portions of the game was. Halo 5 is an amazing game, and I look forward to the release of the next chapter!

This game is amazing. Some are complaining that the campaign doesn't focus on the Master Chief enough, I would not view this as an issue. This game is the beginning of a new trilogy which incorporates Spartan Locke's team so it would make sense for this game to be mostly centered on them to give the player a background with the team before continuing on with the storyline. I played through the campaign on co-op legendary and found it quite challenging but very very fun.

This is basically what you would expect from a Halo game but with a few tweaks I think the franchise needed. The new zoom/hover function is a nice tweak to the combat, along with the thrust addition. The new Spartan Charge can be a bit annoying in multiplayer, but you can use it too so it's not actually a problem. I enjoy the new War zone MP variant, but I do wish it launched with some more maps. I am nearly finished with the story solo on Heroic and I found it to be easier than Halo 4, but a bit more fun. Some of the story arcs are a but generic, but it is an enjoyable installment.

Its Halo, but faster paced. The story is a little silly and not quite the masterpiece it was made out to be where you were expecting this epic face off between master chief and spartan locke. The game is graphically beautiful. It looks great. Multiplayer also brings its A Game. War Zone is a very interesting mode where you have control points, a base to protect, and very tough enemies to kill on the map for bonus points. Its worth picking up, especially if you are a fan of the series. Just wish the story was a little better.

Purchased a copy for my son and I. Great story, graphics, and online game play. Like that the Campaign mode allows for 4 online players to play together now.

I've been a huge fan of the Halo series since the start. Ever since 343 took over the franchise with Halo 4 there have been mixed reactions. Personally I am very happy with the way they've done things. they've brought a freshness to the series that it needed and Halo 5 is no exception. New this time around is the Campaign focus on co-op. Sure you can go at it alone, but this time more focus was given to this aspect. The multiplayer mode has also been revamped making it better then ever. The new Warzone mode is also a welcome addition. If you own an XBox One, you need this game.

This is a well made game, great story line, graphics and online play. The game has had a successful history spanning over 10yrs

Although the campaign is a bit disappointing, in terms of storytelling and characters, it is a lot of fun. There are also a lot of huge, intense, scripted setpiece moments as well. It seemed a bit out of place for a Halo game at first, but I grew to just enjoy the rush of those exhilarating moments. There is also a huge freedom of movement that makes up for the smaller and less open levels. Bring a friend too, because co op is loads of fun. The best part about this game though, and the part that certainly does not disappoint, is the multiplayer. Classic 4v4 is back, now called Arena, with various modes that feel more like the good 'ol days of halo 2, except now with an emphasis on enhanced mobility and speed. Warzone is where the real fun is at though. 12v12 battles on huge maps, fighting for control of multiple bases, all the while battling AI enemies and the occasional large boss. It feels so unique and refreshing for Halo that I believe it will offer endless replay value, which is extremely important when you're spending your hard earned cash. I've put in a couple dozen hours of multiplayer already, and it's as addicting and fun as it's ever been, and probably my favorite since Halo 3. If you can look past the the poor storytelling in the campaign and just enjoy it with a friend, then you'll have a blast. And if you're just looking for the next multiplayer game to spent countless hours in, this is your jam. Seriously, 343 did an amazing job with multiplayer, warfare is the most fun I've had in a game in quite a long time. Also, forge will be coming in December, so that will extend the game's fun and replay value even further. And all future dlc maps will be free as well. Huzzah! I rate Halo 5 a 4.5/5, which rounds up to 5 on this review system.

The squad based single player campaign feels a little stripped down. It's fun to play and the graphics and sound are excellent but the overall experience is not as good as some previous entries in the series. I do not play a whole lot of online multiplayer but the few matches I have played have been fun and competitive. All in all this is a good entry into the Halo series just not a great one. Personally I'd put it closer to par with Halo 2 than Halo 1, 3 or 4. Definitely worth buying if you are a fan of the series.

The last few Halo games have been mildly disappointing, but Halo 5 is amazing! Multiplayer is great, graphics are amazing, and the story mode is awesome.

I've owned all Halo games and thus far I to the game, it's the best! Graphics, action, gameplay and story are superb. A must own for all XBox 1 owners!

The multiplayer is very solid and war zone is a great new mode that will keep people playing it is a bit of campaign and multiplayer at once so it changes game play quite a bit, all future maps will be free and there are micro transactions that you don't need to buy but can if you want to jump ahead. The csmpz ago gnc was fun but not great. The story drags and doesn't have much going on til the end when it gets gooooood. Locke is painful ly boring but the other members of both teams have personality

This is one of the best games with excellent graphics and gameplay and story telling single and multiplayer campaigns
