Great Job, 343i
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.343i did a great job revitalizing the high-esteemed Halo franchise. The game runs smoothly @ 60 fps. Great multiplayer and campaign experience!

Another Halo Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Halo franchise and so I was excited to get the next installment. Story is great so far and visually very appealing. The matchmaking system needs some work. There are constantly uneven teams, no voting system for map selection so you often get the same map 2-3 times in a row, plus they changed slayer game type map graphics to suit the "MLG" scene. For me, that graphics detail took away from those who enjoy the story and simply caters to the needs of all the fps on the market now.

My First Halo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an Xbox this year just to play Halo with my friends. I love FPS and I am pretty good at them. However, Halo is unlike any FPS I have played before. I have only played online so far and it is taking a while to get used to some of the Halo specific elements, but I am really enjoying it. I can't quite give this review a perfect score because I haven't played the campaign yet and there are some online things that I believe they could update like aiming. However I am impressed so far.

Good but not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Halo franchise, I have long considered it my favorite game of all time. However I am now reconsidering as I am very disappointed with Halo 5. The gameplay is cool, the graphics are great, online multiplayer is the best it's ever been. So what is it that the game is missing? Splitscreen. Almost every time I have ever played Halo it was been with at least one other person, and up to 4 people, playing co-op campaign or multiplayer using splitscreen on the same console. As good as Halo was it was made even greater by the experiences that I got to share with my friends. Anytime I had people over we would all sit down and play Halo together. It was the go to party game. Halo 5 failing to have splitscreen is an enormous detriment to the game, it ruins it for me. I bought the game the day it came out and I've now had it for a week. So far all I've played is the first mission, then I got bored and turned it off and haven't had the desire to pick it up again. Something in less upset about but it's still significant is that Halo 5 is also missing Forge and Firefight. I personally never used forge, but I know that a lot of people enjoyed the ability to create your own maps. I loved playing firefight and that was one of my go to game modes when I was playing with my friends. Overall, the gameplay that Halo 5 has is still very good, but in my opinion it is missing a big chunk of of gameplay and game modes that used to be part of its very essence.

Not perfect but still good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Main campaign is very short and playing without friends is not the ideal way to play because teammate a.i's are not the smartest. It can be annoying at times especially on legendary. Multiplayer is pretty fun though. Arena is like your classic Halo experience with a couple of new game types sprinkled in with a couple of new game types. Warzone, basically the new btb, is alright but can be annoying sometimes because two out of the three maps that are in war zone feel really unbalanced.

Great FPS Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my nephew's review, as I bought the game for him, and have not played it yet myself. So, here goes. "Halo 5 has a great storyline. Cortana is the enemy this time around, surprising me and a lot of people. The graphics are also really impressive. The design of the weapons have changed a lot, which looks pretty cool. You get to play as two separate characters in campaign mode, not just Master Chief, each with their own storylines. This is a must for any and all Halo fans."

Perfected!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is like the old Halos, but a bit more modernized. Things like clambering, sliding,a GOOD way to aim in sights, and Thrusters for everyone! If you have liked any Halo, you'll love this one. In my opinion, it is the Very best Halo ever made!

Best Halo yet, coming from a Halo vet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only played the multiplayer so far, but it is awesome! Probably won't pick up the campaign until I get some extra time on my hands, so I can knock it out in 1 or 2 back to back sessions. I only have time to play 3, maybe 4 hours per week right now and it all gets put towards warzone and team slayer. Only thing I don't like is the REQ packs you have to unlock for power weapons and good vehicles in warzone. Miss the old days where those kind of things were already on the map...just another way to try to get micro transactions.

Pretty good, missing co-op though
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't been a HUGE fan of the halo series but having an Xbox one, I felt compelled to buy one of its exclusives. The graphics are beautiful and gameplay is classic halo. I wish Microsoft had incorporated couch co-op but I get that "gamers" NEEDED 60fps. Whatever, I'm not complaining. I haven't completed the story, I don't have too much time to play everyday. I did get to play online and the gameplay is a bit different from something like CoD. I'd recommend for Xbox one owners.

Overall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So overall this game was good but to me it did not feel like a Halo game. There are about 3 missions you play with Master Chief. Now there are reviewers out there bashing on the game because of this. The reason I give it a 3 stars is because of the campaign. It was absolutely short which was a big disappointment. There a lack of split screen is also a disappointment. This game was obviously made for multiplayer. Warzone is a fun game mode. I recommend buying this game on sale.

Great Game as always!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a long time Halo fan and this one doesn't disappoint. It's classic Halo but feels definitely improved, and the campaign is a lot of fun and has a compelling story. Multiplayer is great, although haven't spent too much time with it yet. The new wardrobe variant is a lot of fun, especially for a more extended multiplayer experience, as the matches tend to last longer. My only gripe about Halo 5 and also the one before it, is the new trilogy storyline is a little harder to follow. But overall it's a fantastic game.

Different yet great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past I've found Halo titles (masterchief focused) to have a great Campaign/Story and very good to great multiplayer. For Halo 5 they seem to thinned the story a bit in game and bolstered that with a series and other media to supplement the story. If you get into that then play the campaign it is more rewarding. The multiplayer has been kicked up a notch compared to past titles, obviously in the graphics area due to the new console, but also in gameplay and game modes. I love the new warzone and warzone arena. Enjoy!!

Finally getting back to its H2/H3 roots.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We can finally put Halo Reach and H4 behind us. Looks like 343 Industries figured out what a good shooter should be instead of some Sci Fi COD mash up. Multiplayer controls are crisp and hit detection is really good. The release Maps for Arena are a lot of fun, but not enough of them. Warzone has potential but if you are on a team that does not understand the "get the object" concept, you will be in for a 20 minute beat down. Campaign is beautiful and the 60fps makes it so.

Master Chief is back!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, not really... at least not yet. I'm only on MIssion 7 and so far it has been fantastic. Cut scenes are amazing and the game play graphics as well as play itself is great. I didn't get into the Halo games until Reach came out so my opinion of the games is only on the select few I've played. Halo 5 kind of has a Gears of War feel with the AI assisting you, but without all the testosterone and backhair. I'd recommend this game for not only Halo fans, but anyone that likes a good game to pass time until Fallout 4 drops.
