Best Halo Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great campaign, excellent multiplayer, everything about Halo 5 is smooth and polished. If you're a Halo fan don't hesitate, if you're new to Halo and like FPS games, this is definitely one of the best FPS games you can get on consoles. Other games need to step it up.

Ugh the FOV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this by stating that not only do i own every current console but ALSO a top of the line built by myself gaming PC that would make most hardcore PC builders sweat a little . Now that this is out of the way I will keep this short and sweet The Field of View on this game is absolute GARBAGE ...i mean seriously its as if were a horse wearing blinders that can only see what is DIRECTLY in front of us ... This is a real miss in my book and one that could have been easily fixed. In fact this is a huge part of what lost the 5th star for me. Gameplay is some of the best ive had in a Halo Game. Multiplayer map packs will all be free as promised by 343 The ending is on par with Halo 2 .... for halo fans you know what im talking about You barely get to play as master chief ...but Locke is still pretty cool

Worthy of the name Halo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Halo 5: Guardians campaign delivers the thrilling action that fans expect from the series, but the story is lacking. Exciting plot twists at the beginning and end are marred by a middle that fails to keep up. Returning characters from previous games are a welcome sight, but new characters fail to add much else. Multiplayer is an improvement from Halo 4. New gameplay features make it more fast-paced than any previous game in the series. Arena and Warzone modes will satisfy old fans and newcomers alike. Sadly, the robust customization of Forge and the cooperative-reliant Firefight are both missing here. Halo 5: Guardians is not a flawless game, but those flaws are minor when compared to the overall experience. It is a worthy installment in the storied franchise, and a welcome addition to the Xbox One library.

A return to competitive Halo multiplayer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While single player is different than previous Halos, but remains fun, the real action is in the multiplayer. Halo 5's arena multiplayer takes a return to the competitive style fire fights found in Halo 3, while Warzone adds a fun new large scale battle type mode.

Ecellent value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A fun campaign that can be played with friends(online). Solid multiplayer experiance with a robust amount of armor and helmets to collect. Micro Transactions are a bummer, but req points are easy to get. Three to four games and you're buying a gold pack with them.

Awesome graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With a husband and 2 boys we are always looking for new games and the such that they can all play together. Not only has this provided hours of entertainment for all three of them, but the graphics are beyond phenominal. Looks more like a movie than a video game

Great game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played all the Halo games in the series this is the best so far. The graphics are amazing (which I expected being on Xbox one). The game play seems a bit tougher than previous ones but I love it. I have not played online yet so I can not comment on that.

Like it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a multiplayer fan at all, but I love single player games. I've played every Halo game and so far this one is pretty good based on how much of the game I've played. I like how the story is being told in this release of the game. The controls seem to be mostly the same but there are a few things to get use to. The graphics are ok, and I love how they have integrated a lot more enemy AI varieties during missions, and I also like how they've invoked an AI team for Lock and the Master Chief...and for some reason having females on those teams just adds game character, like REACH. The character conversations in my opinion add value to the game with more communication exchanges aside from just having that be the Chief and Cortana when you compare to the past Halo installments. I like this game.

Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The shooting is the most satisfying it's ever been. The graphics are very nice and the sound is great. A lot of people complain about the story for some reason, but don't let that stop you. It's a great game. A lot of cool weapons and great multiplayer options.

Great Game, but not Destiny
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game looks and plays super cool. However, it has not trumped Destiny as my son's preferred game. I'm not sure what ever will, but for now he has played Halo only a handful of times since xmas, but hasn't latched onto it yet.

Great for online play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The single-player is a bit disappointing, but online play is where it shines. Arena mode is very competitive, and is frequently being updated. Warzone is good for fun and casual play, though it does have microtransactions.

Great addition to Halo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I love Halo, and this new edition serves to continue adding fuel to the fire that is my love of Halo. The new Warzone multiplayer is large and frenetic with more players than ever and the campaign with AI companions is awesome.

Great game, w/ one giant drawback
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great gameplay, whether it's campaign or multiplayer. Awesome graphics, movement, etc. The power up cards or whatever they're called are a little confusing. I'm still trying to figure them out. The reason it gets 2 stars is that it's the first halo game that has NO SPLIT SCREEN! Only 1 player! As if that's not bad enough, they kept that very much under wraps, with misleading description on the back of the game's case.

Best FPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Halo 5 takes the best parts of all the previous games and combines them into a flawless masterpiece. All weapons have been refined to be the best version possible. I can't get over how great the game play looks and feels. Best Halo and FPS I've played yet!

Halo for the new Gen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this isnt like the halos we grew up on it is still a great game. Pvp is fast paced like most games out today after a few matchs you will get the hang of it. The story is pretty good if you know what's going on meaning the books, games and movies lol

Fun new take
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new movement features make the game much more enjoyable and easier to act like the Master Chief you see in the cut scenes. Great improvements on multi-player and a good start to a new story.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I have enjoyed the multiplayer and the l the Campaign mode. There is a 4 player co-op campaign and new reward system. So far no connection issues. Graphics are very good. If you're a fan of Halo, you won't be disappointed

Awesome game but........
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am become quite a fan with the Halo series, as far as the series goes this game has the best graphics and a nice story. I just wish it was a little longer and I wish that they would update the online content a lot more often.

Alright Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This installment in The Halo series doesn't disappoint as far as the game play that has made this franchise the icon that it is. The faster frame that the Xbox one provides along with stunning lightsourcing makes this title fast-paced, blur-free eye candy. The two star deduction comes from the elimination of local play and from the ridiculous file size that took the good part of a day to install on 20 megabit download speed. The end user should have more say as to what additional files are part of the download package. The lack of local play is part of a growing trend and smacks of the snobbery that elite purist gamers believe you should buy into. Many a memory was built while playing countless hours of slayer with friends via system link

Good, but marketing is really misleading.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you come into Halo 5 expecting a riveting story about a tense rivalry between longtime series star, Master Chief, and newcomer Agent Locke, you are in for a disappointment. The marketing leading up to release did a wonderful job of painting a picture that doesn't exist in the final product. That's not a knock against the game. It does have a pretty good story and the gameplay is as good as it's ever been. My only major complaint is that they eliminated the feeling of isolation and being a one-man army by hampering you with 3 squad mates throughout the whole campaign. Whether you're playing as Chief or Locke, they'll always be following you around. I understand that this was done to facilitate 4 player co-op play, but I feel that it really took away from the game's mood.
