Halo 5 is a good continuation of the story and feels like a throwback to Bungie's previous work. The campaign is a little different since you have a team supporting you through the campaign. Personally I felt it was annoying with the chatter and it takes away from the feeling of having the world on your shoulders. Overall it was a fun campaign and I'm sure I will be visiting it again as I have done with previous installments. The multi-player is a lot smoother with the 60 fps and the ability to grab ledges. The focus on faster game play puts it on part with Titanfall and CoD Advance Warfare. The online aspect can become frustrating if you don't take the time to invest in getting better but otherwise highly recommend. The overall package is great and will keep you coming back... just until Fallout 4 is released.

I really enjoy the graphics on Halo 5 on my new xbox one! The gaming control is on point, and I enjoy playing this game with my friends across town and all over the world using Xbox Live. The campaign was engaging, and had me up all late playing as well :) Enjoy!

I was skeptical at first with this game. But my fears were quickly replaced by excitement as it started to deliver everything I could dream of and more. Blasting enemies with an arsenal of over 65 million different weapons combinations. Jumping over goombahs and koopa troopas like Scotty Poppins. Pulling up my codec and flirting with Mei Ling. This game has it all. The scene where Mad Max shows up and teaches you bullet time brought me to tears, and my mind was blown when Master Chief actually reached out of my tv and slapped 5 with me, then gently brushed my leg with that "hey how you doin" kind of look in his faceplate before blowing up a children's hospital full of super saiyan creeper gouls. Kratos' guest appearance felt a bit forced though. All in all I give it a 7.5: not enough Charizard.

Halo 5 is worth buying.....PERIOD !!! The story is actually pretty cool. There is some loose ends that I think 343 could have easily wrapped up BUT if you look passed those few things and take in the overall experience, you will find a enjoyable campaign to play through. MULTIPLAYER IS WHERE THE MEAT, POTATOES, SIDE ITEMS AND DRINK ARE ALL AT !!! This is absolutely, hands down the best multiplayer experience out of any Halo game every. They added a few new moves the spartans can do BUT kept the over all skilled based Halo mechanics. Noobs can pick it up and play, veterans will have to learn how to incorporate the new mechanics BUT EVERYONE can enjoy the multiplayer together. Warzone...............ONE OF THE BEST MULTIPLAYER EXPERIENCES EVER !!!! If you like the Halo franchise, Halo 5 will not disappoint. If you are new to the series......it will not disappoint. BUY THIS GAME !!!!

If you love the halo gameplay and are looking forward to a full rich multiplayer experience, then this game is a must buy. However, if you love halo for the in-depth storylines and amazing character development, well, you should have stopped after Halo 3, because this one is probably the most forgettable storyline yet. That's not to say that the campaign is bad. The campaign itself is great, the level design, and enemy design are still top notch, but the story is bad. I just wish they would have done more with the squad-based commands. This had the potential to be a successor to Star Wars Republic Commando, and even had the game's director on the team, but sadly, you are relegated to just pointing at an enemy and saying, kill this guy first.

Huge fan of the series. I wish the story had a little more detail to it (especially regarding Blue Team) and split screen co-op. The split-screen is definitely a downer here. But great multiplayer, good graphics! A for sure pick up for any Halo fan.

If your a halo fan your in for a treat. Beautiful graphic. Awesome story line. AI support in game is pretty good since you are always part of a 4 man team. Down fall there is no split screen to play with a buddy at home.

Well, I can safely say that Halo 5 is a giant improvement over Halo 4, though that may not be saying too much. Long time fans will notice it feels "more like Halo" as opposed to 4, even if there are some major changes. It's by no means perfect, but the multiplayer is a blast and you will definitely need to rely on skill. I was debating giving the game 3 stars or not, as the removal of split screen is pretty huge, considering that Halo has been known for that since the beginning. Also, the shoddy micro transaction system known as "REQ packs", seem to be very glitchy. Several players, including myself, have purchased one or more of these packs, and never received them in game, over a month later. Avoid these though, and you should have a good time.

I was actually hesitant to buy Halo 5 in the weeks leading up to its release. I've always been a fan of Halo, but something about this game didn't peake /\ my interests. I decided to pick it up anyways and have been very satisfied with the game. The environments are huge and beautiful. You can see for miles and so much is packed in to make the game feel as alive as it can be. The story is interesting, bouncing back between two fire teams while unraveling two sides to a story, just wish there was more Master Chief. They seemed to make the guns feel more unique from one another so whenever you pick up a new weapon, it will change up the experience. Overall, I'm really happy I picked up Halo 5. I really wasn't excited for it but Ive been having just as much fun as Ive had with past Halo games while Ive been playing through this one.

This is the first Halo Game that I have played since Halo 3. Bought the game for xbox one. So far, I have been blown away! The graphics are unreal, the weapons are so cool and just the gameplay is something else. Definitely worth picking up.

    Decent Game Needs Co-op Matchmaking

Halo 5 overall is a great game, and I thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer experience. Many reviews target the story of the game. Avoiding spoilers, let's just say Halo 5 has a great setup for Halo 6, and something, to me at least, unexpected happens along the way. While I thought the story was basic, I did not think it was bad, nor bad enough to warrant the loss of a star. What really stops me from giving this game a better rating is the lack of co-op matchmaking. Multiplayer matchmaking works fine, but there's nothing for co-op except manual invitations. While co-op matchmaking has never been a trend for Halo games, split-screen was not included in Halo 5 and presents additional challenges for playing the story with other people.

I'm a fan of the Halo series and this latest installment did not disappoint. The graphics are the best of the series (obvi) and controls haven't changed much. The storyline is great and the campaign isn't too long but enough to be satisfying. It's quick if you just blow though the levels to reach the end but you'll spend a good tens of hours if you have it on max difficulty and if you want to collect every single collectible or reward. You won't have the epic boss battles of Gears of War or the like but there's plenty of challenging enemies and mini bosses. My review doesn't include the multiplayer experience because I don't play multiplayer. =) For those casual gamers like me looking for a good shoot up first person, this is a must pick up for your collection.

Very good game. Multiplayer and single player are great. 60 FPS Halo is amazing. Only reason why it didn't get a 5 star is that they got rid of the split screen and that it does have some micro transactions.

Halo 5 is a great game. XBOX ONE owners need to get this game. The campaign isn't my favorite in the series, but the multiplayer is a winner. The controls and the movement feels like the best of what Halo has offered in the past. As far as the campaign mode, I figure the new studio is trying to spin off their own Halo hero, because everyone knows Master Chief was created by another studio. Too bad, because there is no other character in video game lore like Master Chief. Instead of celebrating the fact that they have one of the most liked and celebrated video game characters, they try to make their own mark by making another character the main part of the story. Otherwise, great Halo experience for multiplayer fans.

Halo 5 is the latest halo game that features Master Chief and Spartan Locke. Story mode is entriguing and fun. However, Halo 5's multiplayer is probably the best fps multiplayer ever. 1080p 60 frames/sec on dedicated servers!

I am a loyal Halo fan, and I enjoyed this game, but I fee like it is one of the weakest in the series. The plot is kind of weak and lacks the emotion of Halo 4 and Halo: Reach and some of the design elements were poor choices. I like cinematics, but they should be used to advance the plot, not advance the action. There were a number of times that I was watching a cutscene wishing I was playing it rather than just being a spectator. The game looks great and the Prometheans are far better developed as enemies. As usual, the multiplayer is excellent and helps erase some of the sins from Halo: MCC. This is not a great game for introduction into the Halo universe, but it is still worthwhile game to play.
