343 has done a great job taking over the Halo franchise from Bungie, yet the 343 developed games have a different feel and design philosophy to them that makes them different than the Bungie games. With halo 5 specifically I found that due to technical reasons they had to removed split screen co-op which was disappointing to my wife and I since we played they others that way. Multiplayer is a blast but requisition packs seem invasive and take away from the spirit of halo arena multiplayer. Overall the game is great fun but minor changes to the franchise have me scratching my head at times.

if you're a halo fan you'll love this one. This game has all the classics of halo and some new weapons and spartan abilities. The multiplayer is awesome and the graphics are amazing.

Great addition to the halo universe. Campaign is awesome and the multiplayer is as usual a whole lot of fun and addictive as heck. Graphics are insane as well

The latest installment of the Halo series gives players a fun multiplayer experience and introduces new characters the player can relate too. I'm usually the Story mode type of player, but multiplayer is the mode of choice in this game. Multiplayer is fun, engaging, and really lets you strategize with your teammates. Story mode has a good story, but it's too short and it's not as advertised in the tv commercials. I think they're trying to build another trilogy with this story (first part of the new trilogy would be Halo 4) which is fine, but I wish they just made it a bit longer.

Halo 5 picks up where 4 left off. A bigger campaign, new abilities, and new multiplayer game modes. The story is unexpected but as good if not better than most previous Halo games.

Whoa, this game is great. The issues with online multiplayer that were constant with MCC are completely gone with this game. Lobbies form in seconds, no lag, and the maps are well laid out. My only complaint is there are only 5 maps for Arena (which is the 4v4 multiplayer i.e. Team Slayer). It's 2015 and a game only has 5 maps, come on 343. Forge mode comes out in December, so hopefully that adds a few new maps to the mix. The story is also fun. Running with a team of 4 plays a little differently than all prior Halo's, which is a nice touch. It's different enough to make the campaign engaging, yet similar enough to still play like Halo.

Amazing graphics, excellent game play, and a compelling story line combine to make this game a must buy for any fan of the franchise.

This game is awesome! Halo has been my favorite franchise since its inception and this edition definitely stepped up. The graphics are amazing, the story line is good for setting up the future of the franchise plus is fun as heck. My only qualm with the game is that they took out the couch co-op feature and now you can only co-op online. Part of my experience with these games were playing them with my best friend right next to me. I understand why they did it to be able to reach the 60 FPS throughout the entire game but it is still a shame. Regardless, buy this game.

Awesome Graphics, very fun multiplayer, 60 fps really engaging gun combat, the marketing TV ads though had no connection with the in-game content, but this game is beast.

Graphics are good, gameplay is good. Sadly it lacks the split screen that we all love, this is for both campaign and multiplayer. Still a good game.

The next chapter in the Halo series is a must have for fans of the previous Halo games. Of course just about everything is better - story line, graphics, game play, etc.

Decent graphics, smooth gameplay. Don't like the fact they got rid of the split screen co-op but still a fun game better when playing with friends.

If you liked Halo 4, this is the next step. Better graphics. Short campaign and no split screen. Geared more towards multiplayer this time around.

Halo is back baby! Excellent graphics and sound, insanely fun multiplayer, and great co-op campaign experience. Highly recommended for vets of the series and new fans!

I am a fan of Halo from the single player campaign perspective. I don't do much of the multiplayer, but I got hooked on the lore and universe of Halo. Halo 5 has a decent campaign but was a bit bummed that Master Chief was only a minor role in it. There are a few missions that are just running around talking with people. But they were a nice break from all the action. It was a great opportunity to get some back store and learn more about the world of Halo. There is also some pretty funny commentary from the other characters if you stop and listen.

This is a nice addition to the Halo franchise. The campaign looks absolutely gorgeous and they made the levels larger so that you have multiple approaches to many of the battles. The only downside to the campaign is that it is a little short. I don't think the story developed much until right before the game ends. That being said, I still enjoyed the campaign and have played it thorough multiple times. The multiplayer is great and fast paced but they don't have many maps out now. All DLC maps are free in the future so hopefully that will change.

First off, I pre-ordered this game, hoping 343 would deliver a great game. From the first HALO to the latest, changes have always been implemented with each new release. Dual wielding, playing multiple characters in the game, armor loadouts, 4 player co-op, and more. So, naturally, as each new HALO is released, the game evolves. And whether you like 343's move toward current trends in FPS, it comes down to preference. For me, the disappointment was the campaign. The removal of split-screen co-op is unfortunate for those that made use of it. The story in the campaign was lacking. After several levels I was bored, not only with the story, but the repetitive combat. It felt like HALO 4 with a new skin and climbing mechanic and a very dull story. For me, it felt like a lot of the story was left out. I won't spoil anything here. I think more details would have been nice as to why certain events were happening and why certain individuals were in the game. I kept pushing through the game, hoping that something would draw me back in. Having said that, what little I did learn from the story was still kind of interesting. As far as multiplayer goes, warzone is probably the most fun if you are looking for something that feels new and fresh. But get ready to grind or pay real world currency in order to get yourself some new in-game gear. As of this review, FORGE has not been released. Also, throughout the game I noticed tiny glitches, such as the flashlight on the shotgun not behaving correctly. Most often, it would not track, point or light up what I was looking at. Perhaps, that will get patched. Overall, the game comes off as being very average, leaving me with no desire to replay it.

Halo has always been a fantastic game. The graphics are amazing and great story line and awesome new weapons to play with. Fantastic game overall!

Have bought and played all halo games with much enjoyment, with halo 5 being pretty good too. Multiplayer is more competitive than ever with the arena playlists & extremely fast match finding/start load times. Warzone with its bigger 12 vs 12 matches is great,varied & frantic; but is currently lacking with only 3 maps to cycle between. Single player is somewhat average and doesn't quite feel epic without as many "halo" vehicle moments but is still okay. all in all a good game that will be amazing with more free maps released in the future

Amazing game, stunning graphics, and spectacular online play. I haven't even scratched the surface on the story mode and can already tell it's going to be awesome.
