Being advertised as one of Microsoft's flagship Xbox One games, the Master Chief Collection unites the entire main Halo story under one console. I purchased this with the intent of playing through the whole story, across all the games. While this works fine, and there are tons of content to enjoy, the majority of people will be purchasing this to relive the Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer experiences on Xbox One. Sadly, this is where the game drops the ball as the multiplayer service from 343 Industries has been terrible. I picked this up on launch and since it's launch until the time I am writing this (12/12/14), the multiplayer still suffers. It's insanely hard to find a game and when you do find one, tons of issues occur mid-game. It has improved since launch but from what I can tell, it's still not 100% fixed. If you're looking to pick this up, I'd say wait for a sale and get it then. By that time, it should be fixed.

I love being able to play the original Halo games.

Hopefully, for those that bought Halo: TMCC a permanent fix comes along sooner than later, or you can get some enjoyment out of the single-player experience for the time being. But it’s certainly not fair to wait for the product your purchased to work, and because of that, I want to be sure that my review score for this reflects that.
