I actually used this slow cooker to make Thanksgiving Turkey. I bought an 11lb. turkey and it's kinda tight but after cooking it shrunk a little. To save on cleaning, i put a plastic liner for slow cookers that you can buy at your local grocery store. During cooking, an air pocket built up between the liner and the pot that the juice from the turkey and my marinade started to overflow. But the great thing about this slow cooker is the locking sealed lid that prevented the juice from leaking out of the pot! After the temp set down to warm, the air pocket reduced and i was able to open the lid without spilling. I had set the temperature probe to 180F (Max) and the turkey actually was so tender and juicy that when i tried to pick it up, the breast meat came out and the rest was in the pot. Talk about falling off the bone. Great product!

I always do the research first. Buy this slow cooker! It is simple to use and it will create the best air freshener for your home. If you are concerned about the review about the smelly gasket, that will only happen if you overload the cooker. Loading an inch from the rim is maximum. Overloading can result in the food sticking to the gasket causing the cooking of the rubber. The internet has an abundance of slow cooker recipes. The use of herbs and spices will be your tongues best friend. Do not even consider more expensive cookers, especially All-Clad. You do not need to impress anyone, it is a waste of money. With the holidays approaching, this cooker is an excellent low cost gift that will be loved by those receiving it. Fill the cooker in the morning before going to work, set the timer, come home and you will think that you hired a gourmet cook. There are no cons about this cooker but be good to the cooker and thoroughly clean it after every use. If I had Bill Gates' money, I would supply the homes with electricity and this cooker to the starving people in Africa. Happy cooking!

With my schedule, it is hard to cook good meals. So I decided to buy this slow cooker after reading many reviews on many different models. After trying ribs, pot roast and a few soups, I am extremely pleased. Cooks well, settings are easy to understand and program. If you are looking for a slow cooker, don't hesitate.

This is great for busy days to start it off in the morning and just let it go, when you come home dinner is done. If you let it go longer, it automatically switches to warm the food. I was a little hesitant that the probe hole would release too much steam when you were not using the probe but I have not had any problems. I thought that the locks were kind of silly until we had a chili cook-off at work. I brought it in my car, I had to make a sudden stop because a guy ran a red light. Even though the crock pot slid on to the floor of my car, it did not spill, not a drop.

We have really enjoyed this crockpot. It is easy to clean, easy to use and the self turn down to warm when it senses that the food is done is so helpful. Taking with me to work has been a breeze with it's self-locking lid. Great product!

Not only is this slow cooker great looking, it is efficient and user-friendly. Goes in the car...no worry about it turning over and spilling. Spoon snaps in the lid. So glad I waited to buy one until now!

Used this quite a few times over the last 6 months since we got this and it works great. Very easy to use and clean.

I have not yet used the probe feature, but the program and other features are very useful. Even though you are supposed to make sure it is half full, slightly less than half still cooked very well...I can't wait to explore all the features fully.

I purchased this for the holidays. I searched online and found that BestBuy.com was the most affordable. I ordered it and it was already in the store so I picked it up the next day. I made a roast in it. I made the Christmas ham (12 lbs.). I love the locking lid and spoon that comes with it. I also love using the temperature probe that it comes with. You can see what the temp of the meat is at all times. AWESOME purchase. The only thing I need now is a carrying case.

The size is great. The fact that it is safe for the dishwasher is a bonus. The controls are easy to use and very convenient and the thermometer is a nice option to have. Also the clamps that hold the top down are great if you are transporting the crock pot somewhere else.

We got this slow cooker as a holiday gift for our Mum. We chose it because it was highly rated on Consumer Reports and other publications/sites. This Hamilton Beach model seems more impressive than the pricier models/fancier brand names out there. Great buttons and features, sturdy design and ample room. The price at Best Buy was the best around, as well. So far, our Mum hasn't cooked with it yet (as she was away on holiday) but is now excited to use it. My aunt has used it and has nothing but raves since you can literally have your day and come home to a delicious, fully prepped meal. Very easy to use...now I'm anxious to try it out too!

I like the temp probe, that i can set it and be gone all day and dinner is warm when I get home. Clean up is easy.

Husband and I are full time RV'ers living in our 36' travel trailer. Space is always an issue and this crock pot is compact enough to fit in one of the overhead storage compartments...big plus. I have made soups, stews, chili, and ribs and every one of the dishes came out perfectly. Programming is easy to follow and I love the idea of setting it to turn to warm when the dish is cooked.

I have enjoyed the programmable setting feature. I have been using it once a week for 6 months and have no complaints.

I bought this slow cooker to prepare healthy meals for my dogs. I leave it cooking at night and early next morning the aroma has my dogs waging their tails. One preparation, two meals a day and I could not be happier.Its very atractive so I do not mind leaving it on the counter top. Once it is sealed Its easy to transport.

We love our slow cooker. I love the fact that you can set the timer and just walk away. It will start cooking in the middle of the night and it perfect for those on the go.

This is my first one i have ever purchased, I have to say I do enjoy using it because it does the cooking for me. I have no problems with it so far and will continue to use it and experiment with different recipes.
