Hard drive was check for errors and Windows 10 software was reloaded.

Geek squad agents were amazing and had my hard drive installed in no time.

First, it took them 3 times of going back and forth to the PSU before they found one that they said would work and was priced at the price it said on the shelf. Several were priced wrong, as they discovered when they tried to charge me for them. Called me the next day to tell me the PSU was in place and ready for me to pick it up. I came up, a distance of 50 miles one way for me, only to find that they had a note on the computer saying they were unable to hook up the optical reader as they didn't have the right connector for it on the PSU that they had finally picked out and said it would work fine!! I was then told I could download anything I needed off the internet and really didn't need an optical drive along with the fact that none of the computers even come with them anymore! (WRONG) After the guy told me this I then inquired about an older computer I have that I thought needed a new battery for the cpu. I asked him how long they normally last. He told me that they don't use batteries anymore and that everything is powered off of the PSU!! I said, REALLY??? I wasn't going to argue with him as it was obvious he didn't know. I was very disappointed with the fact that no one called me to tell me they couldn't get the optical drive hooked up. They should have called to let me know that they could order the correct connector to make it work but it would take a few more days. Instead, I took it home and ordered the correct connector and installed the optical drive myself!!

Geek Squad got everything done in the time frame they said, just had to wait some, but they were quite busy, so that's understandable...

Really appreciated the professional install. I wouldn't be able to do it without you guys

I used this service when I wanted to replace the graphics card in my pc with a new one. I found out the geek squad could do that for a small fee. So I handed it over, and the next day I got a phone call saying it was ready. I picked it up and turned it on and everything was fine, until I tried to use the optical (disc) drive located on the tower. It turns out, (after hiring a specialist not from best buy) to my house and taking a look, that there was not enough room on my PSU (Power Supply Unit) to plug the optical drive into. Now I completely understand that there was very little they could do, however there was little to no communication on this issue on the phone call or the receipt. Overall, I would say the service is okay, but it isn't perfect.
