    replace DVD drive in computer

    We had to have the DVD drive replaced in our computer, came home, hooked everything back and it did not work. Had to go back to Best Buy and get it corrected. The staff were great and very helpful. Not happy that we had to go back a second time, since we live far away from the store.

    bought the laptop to the geek squad to have them install a hard drive and was told that they could not install it, wound up taking it to another place and had it installed

    After service at Best laptop was returned damaged

    When I picked up my sons laptop it was in the evening. The rep never showed me the laptop just handed it to me. Never said anything. My son was leaving for college the next day. That night when my son came home he opened the laptop. There was a crack in the screen. That was not there. Then the back of his laptop was off and not secured in correctly. He had to leave for college in another state. His screen touch now doesn't work. Best Buy damaged his laptop.

    Should not have needed this install of RAM

    I Installed 16GB of ram into my wife's MacBook Pro. It was decided by apple tech support that somehow the ram was bad and had to be replaced. Although geek squad fixed the problem, it should not have ever occurred. Needed to buy new ram & warranty.

    Knowledge was great, they diagnosed the problem right away but the attitude of the Geek Squad attendant was poor. Not a good people person.

      While I'm glad to hear the Agent was knowledgeable and able to figure out the problem efficiently, we would want all of our Agents to go in to the job with a positive attitude. Our goal is provide every customer with the best experience around. We know an important part of that is to not only be informed but friendly and eager to help as well.     Recently took my mac book pro in for a repair. While the technicians were kind, I wound up taking my computer to a private repair shop after the guys charged me and said it needed to be shipped to apple

    The agents sent a confusing notification that made me believe it was ready and it wasn’t. It caused me to make an unnecessary trip to the store.

    Did not need all the bells and whistles since I already have a laptop. Just wanted simple to read emails and Facebook and play games. This works great for my purposes and for the price!!

    Arrived at my appointment. Was told I had to leave it there overnight. I came back the next day. I figured swapping RAM would not take long. Took a day even with an appointment. Disappointed.

    Before I purchased my HP laptop, I asked about getting more memory installed, and was directed as to what would work. Purchased the memory and left the laptop with them for installation, only to go back the next and be told, AFTER they opened the laptop, that my laptop could not get an upgraded memory. I got my money back, but very disappointed to get the wrong info and go through all that (and have my laptop opened) for nothing.

    Took four trips to the Geek Squad before they sent the machine out and it was fixed under warranty. I give them credit for trying various options before sending it out.
