    Although the geek squad installed my hard drive quickly and knew what they were doing, my dad told me we could have installed it ourselves. He said the price was rather high at $50

    They replaced my clock battery in a matter of minutes, but charged me for like an hour. I think they should have set prices for quick, easy repairs.

    I was pressed for time and left a newly purchased machine and my old HDD with them to install because I wanted to either transfer programs to the new HDD or be able to access the old HDD, operating system, and programs. I arrived for pickup to discover that the work had not been performed due to not having the correct power cable, yet I had not been called and informed of this earlier. After purchasing additional items that were recommended to solve the installation issues, I returned later to discover yet again that the installation had not been completed, yet again I wasn't notified. The end result was that I returned the recently purchased computer and additional components for another computer at a higher price point that would work. The initial work that I had wanted was not performed with the Geek Squad member citing copyright infringement for transferring software that was owned by me from the old drive to the new drive, and they were not able to setup the machine to access the old HDD other than for file retrieval. The HDD was plugged in as a secondary drive for file retrieval only, after disconnecting the optical disc drive to utilize the connections. I could have done this myself, and should have had I known that this wall all that would be performed.

    Four trips to store...still not fixed

    First trip....told need to order part and bring it back in. Second trip dropped it off with part. Went to pick up repair...received multiple email updates about checking it in and when the next appointment was scheduled as I walked in to the store to pick it up....shockingly the computer wasn't ready because the service isn't offered by the Geek Squad, but they had their roaming expert in that day, so he was going take care of it. It was a DC outlet swap. I asked why I hadn't been notified that one the service wasn't generally offered and two the service wasn't completed by the time I was scheduled to pick it up (scheduling an appointment is required for pick up). Came back to store two hours later....Geek Squad member said it was good to go. Unfortunately they didn't note that the motherboard was fried, so in essence it wasn't fixed. Poor communication, lack of expertise, and poor repairs made for a bad experience. Computer is currently elsewhere with real experts fixing it. Won't be using these Geeks ever again.

    They were Quik and didn't make me leave pc there they did the work I needed in 20 minutes!

    The service associates were nice and professional but the skill set may be an issue. The way it was "repair" affected the life of the battery installed draining all of its energy to functin properly

    I have been transferred from one person to another on the phone, lied to, charged for services I did not receive, and unable to speak to someone in this country that can help me. It's been an absolute customer service nightmare.

    Before I purchased called and talk to agent he said he will install and transfer every thing at same cost. but after I visited store same person ask me to pay additional payment for window 7 installation. Which really make me surprised and training question about geek squad staff. Person name is Donald. It's really a poor Customer service I ever had.

    PNY RAM stick purchased needed to be replaced.

    The Geek Squad service was fine, but the RAM stick I purchased (a 16GB PNY DDR4 2666MHz SODIMM4) is defective, offering much slower speeds. I'm able to return the hardware for a full refund, but I'm losing nearly $50 because apparently the hardware service is non-refundable according to some Level 1 Customer Support rep over the phone. I had to revert a one-step hardware replacement for my computer to return to normal, and now I'm out of my money.

    Greek Squad installed an SSD drive. It works but when I opened the PC to check it the dust was so thick, I could barely see anything. Very poor job.

    Purchased a power supply for a gaming PC. Had to go in 3 times to sort out issues. They wanted to charge me everytime i gave it in to sort out a problem they caused.

    Geek Squad had problems adding memory card

    I think the Geek Squad had major problems installing additional memory. They did not check out system out of box before they touched it. Then had problems with different people not able to install memory card and tried to jam it in and lift cooling coil. I bought this for my daughter's schooling. Now she is without laptop and has to wait until Best Buy Fixes it.....

    For some strange reason, the Geek Squad employee took my hard drive out, put it in a sack and gave it to me. I did not ask him to do this. I did not realize it until we got home.

    I had to go to another Best Buy to pick up the part I needed and then go back to the Best Buy in West Jordan. I left my computer there overnight for them to install a fan. When I come to pick it up the next day it is finished and I got home and it makes a rattling noise. My fan fell off inside the computer and I had to take it back. They put the fan back on they forgot to use the clips that came with the fan to install it properly. I will not be using this service again. It was just terrible.
