After several years the band is back. This album rocks and has great songs.

In recent years Metallica has not been making metal music, but have instead been making alternative hard rock. This CD is another alternative hard rock CD. If you like "Death Magnetic" or "Load" you will probably like this one. If you are looking for classic Metallica ("Ride the Lightning", "Kill 'em All"), keep looking it's not on this CD. Another release from Alt-tallica or because it's soooooo average -- Meh-tallica.

I was shocked how bad this album is. It's as if they've completed forgotten how to write and play music. If you took every okay song since their 5th album and put them on one album you'd have half the quality of 'Black' album. This album has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. If you were a fan of Classic Metallica and were hoping they'd finally make an album worthy of their name...this isn't it. If you have poor taste in music and actually think this album...or even a single song off it is good..wow...you are a lost cause. I wanted so badly to like it. I've purchased every record they've ever made and unlike wine...they do not get better with age. DO NOT PURCHASE!
