I have the original HK Onyx speaker, and I loved it, so I decided to get this one for my mom. Basically, it has a little bit fuller sound, great base, and pretty good battery life. I get about 9 hours or so of good loud sound, which is really a lot. There is a built in sub on the back of the speaker, which really kicks. Now I just need to get one for myself!

This speaker is awesome, loud and clear, the phone calls are clean. I had to return two speakers BC they were only lasting about 1.5 hrs of total play time after being charged for 2 or 3 days without even being used. Best buy excepted the returns and gave me a new one every time. Now my 3 rd speaker is giving me plenty of playing time like 7hrs passed the 5hrs that was suggested by the manufacturer. I struck gold with this one, like they say the 3rd time is the charm. Love this speaker and the big booming sound it puts out

I originally had the onyx studio 1 and it was a great piece of sound technology. When the new one came out I grabbed it immediately now I have one for home and one to bring to parties ang the beach

Great speaker with great sound. Very portable and easily paired.

The speaker is connected to my Samsung Smart TV in my basement where I exercise. I use the elliptical while listening to the TV and my elliptical is very noisy, but I still can hear the TV although not very loud. Maybe I should have bought a bar sound, but I am planning to use the speaker with my phone as well. The sound is clear and nice, but there is no remote control so I am uncleared as to when the speaker has reached its louder sound. I have not used the bluetooth feature yet.
