ALL HARMON KARDON PRODUCTS HAVE SUPERIOR SOUND QUALITY MO ARGUING WITH THAT AND FOR THE PRICE THAT YOU GET IT IS FANTASTIC. HOWEVER FOR BOTH ONYX STUDIO SPEAKERS GENERATION 1 & 2 THE BATTERY LEVEL IS TERRIBLE IT CONSTANTLY SHUTS OFF AFTER AN HOUR OR TWO WHEN THE BOX CLEARLY STATES THAT IT CAN LAST UP TO 6 HOURS ON A FULL CHARGE. BUT FOR A SMALL SPEAKER IT CAN SURE SOUND LIKE YOUR IN A CLUB FOR A FAMILY BBQ OR GET TOGETHER

this speaker has deep clear bass and crisp mids and highs. its beautiful exterior makes it perfect for anywhere in the house. it could really benefit from an automatic shut off.

Hey, you, you beautiful human being, stop what you're doing for a minute and read this. I promise it will be worth your time. I am a long-time customer of Best Buy. They have won my business over the span of many years. Of all my purchases through Best Buy, this was by far the best one. This speaker is the best sounding, portable speaker that I have come across. PROS: Sound quality. Sound is quality. Sounds like surround sound and get get very loud. I'm an audiophile, and the fact that a portable speaker like this can get that loud without any loss in sound quality (you lose a tiny bit of your bass that the loudest setting, but other than that, nothing) is absolutely incredible. My applause for the guys at Harmon Kardon/JBL. Bass: Bass is phenomenal. There are two woofers, one in the front behind the grill and one in the back. Volume control is perfect, in sync with streaming device. Wireless Bluetooth, painless setup, instant connectivity. CONS: The only con I have is the battery life. The battery life out of the box is about five hours, I found the more I used it the shorter that life became. Make sure to get the Geek Squad Product replacement warranty, because your battery will die, eventually, and it will only last about 3 minutes at max volume. That being said, this happened to me after having it for about 6 months, and also I did not take care of the battery. I left it on when I should have turned it off, sometimes leaving it on all night, on standby. I find it easier that way, since I have the speaker near me most of the time, plugged in. Make sure to cycle your battery properly (let the battery completely die and charge it back up again) in order to keep your battery life maintained. IMPORTANT: Suggestion for the Manufacturer: make the updated version or the onyx studio 3 with a remote. Would give 7 stars with that.

Had never heard of the brand but it was worth every penny. Great sound in a portable device my daughter loves it

Use this for everything!! Teaching, leisure, entertaining, etc ...... Love the blue tooth capability. Produces ample sound and clarity is great. It's sound can fill most areas.

The sound is very good. The directions were not the easiest to follow for a person that is not electronic wavy.

This speaker was extremely easy to hook up via Bluetooth and provided great quality sound for the price paid.

This is the second wireless Harmon Kardon Onyx Speaker we purchased since it did provide such a great sound.

I bought this at Best Buy's Black Friday sale. It's a beautiful, expensive looking speaker. Sitting in my living room turned off, it's gotten comments from friends about how good it looks. Sound? Compared with the $2,000 surround sound system I have in the living room, it suffers a little. The clarity is a little muddled and the bass could be better. However, I have to remind myself this little baby costs less than 10% so for the price, I'm very happy.

We went in to buy a Bose, but once we heard this , we got it instead. It has a deep rich tone & we love it!

Great soynding speaker in a fairly small size.Battery lasts for three hours.Very happy with this purchase.
