This is a pretty good Bluetooth speaker I usually like Bose but for the price this was and louder sound capability plus it has a sub in the back and a handle at the top behind the speaker so it's easy to carry. The only other Bluetooth speaker that would be better is the Marshall Stanmore, but that one isn't portable.

I already own one and I liked it so much I just bought one for my Mom. She loves it too. That she's in her eighties and doesn't struggle with the technology is great.

Got it on sale and was well worth it. The look is good enough to put it anywhere in the house as to use anytime you want. Makes cleaning the house more enjoyable.

This soaker is great. I would highly recommend it for small spaces. Place it on the floor and expect to hear great range from base to treble. Battery life is not bad either for portable listening on a patio.

Very good sound from such a small enclosure. The treble is remarkably clear if not a bit subdued during some musical passages. The mid-range is very good, vocals do not overpower, yet are clear and succinct. The bass, while very good, can get a bit muddy at times if not a tad warm. I believe this is due to the use of passive radiators vs tuned port design or a sealed enclosure with powered bass drivers. To clear up an inaccurate description I read elsewhere, the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2 utilizes 2ea 3" bass drivers, and two 3/4" tweeters, as well as two passive radiators. The enclosure does not have 5 powered drivers. One passive radiator is centered on the back of the unit, the other passive radiator is at the 12 o'clock position on the front. If I had paid $400 for this speaker, I would have been extremely disappointed. However, for $200, I was very pleased with the big, fairly accurate sound coming from such a small enclosure. I auditioned several Bluetooth speakers in the $200 price range, to include the famed Boss. Still, the saying is true," no highs, no lows, it's got to be Boss ", applied to the ones I listened to. The Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 2 shined. If you're a minimalist, and features don't amount much to you, you'll be happy with the Harma/Kardon Onyx Studio 2. Because, this is a Bluetooth only device. Bass and treble controls are sorely missed. Battery life is scant too, with just under 5 hours that I've been able to get out of it. The build quality and design, while not waterproof; I don't swim with it, or take it out in the rain, is excellent. I dropped it once from 2 feet w/o any damage to the speaker. I've also had it on the front seat of my car, and it filled the entire car with quality sound. When I had to panic brake hard from 45mph, the speaker flew off of the front seat onto the floor with no damage. Nothing came loose inside the enclosure, still performs flawlessly. I've taken this speaker to and placed it in a number of different listening locations that would challenge many a portable speaker. This speaker is unflappable in all but an outdoor listening venue. In an entirely concrete and steel enclosure,3 story stairwell, this thing was amazing, big, powerful room filling sound. In an extremely large room with a false floor, numerous cubicles and false/hanging ceiling, again, very good, room filling, quality sound for the price. It's only outdoors that the bass you enjoyed indoors, is noticeably absent. And rightly so, as even large, wired speakers dragged outside, being powered by a powerful audio amplifier, can be hard pressed to have the same stage presence one would expect from a concert. That being said, the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 2 will make a good companion for outdoor barbecues, picnics, a day at the beach etc. Easily powering over ambient noise. Just don't expect to be without the power cord for more than 5 hours or less. Don't expect any significant stereo separation from this unit, not going to happen, as can be said for any single speaker of this type. However, understand that each 4 ohm, 3” woofer and each 4 ohm, ¾” tweeter has its own, separate, 15 Watt amplifier, that for $200, reproduces sound in a way one would not expect from such a small speaker. If what I said about this speaker appeals to you, go get u one! RustyFuryIII

This speaker can get your high class party started. More bass than you can ever hope to get from smaller units, and looks great. Pairs easily with phones and computers.
