After hearing some of my friends talking about this thing after they picked it up on sale, I thought I would go check it out and I was impressed. the store only had the Onyx Studio 1 out on display but even that sounded fantastic and after a little research to see if the 2 was an improvement, I felt I had to try it. When running Bluetooth, the sound quality is fantastic, with not as much distortion as some other Bluetooth speakers out there and once I plugged this thing in via 3.5mm to my desktop, it has stayed there since. the sound quality is truly exceptional for something this size and it is amazing for gaming or movies.

I had my eyes on this item for a very long time. This was the only system playing throughout the store. The sound was heard from the front to the back of the building. Couldn't pass up the deal $149.99 originally 449.00.

I have purchased several of the top wireless Bluetooth speakers.....Beats, Jam Box, TDK, Bose, etc....but this is by far....the best. The sound is clear, robust bass, and impressively loud. The battery life was better than what’s being reported……at least thus far….4 hours before recharging. I was fortunate to get to the Harman Kardon on sale …50% off…as it’s typically in the price range as Bose ($500). I used it on New Year and pumped the volume capacity to the max. We could hear the music outside and the range of the Bluetooth was fantastic. I’m giving or selling the other wireless speaker. I have a winner !!

I bought this speaker yesterday and it is definitely worth your money! It kicks amazingly and it has deep bass. When turned up loud it is the loudest portable speaker!

I had the original Harman Kardon Onyx and upgraded to this version on Thanksgiving for $150. The original was already an excellent bluetooth speaker and this one just adds a couple of new features (AUX input and speakerphone) that make it perfect. It also has a nice new look! Sound quality when streaming via bluetooth is the best you're are going to get from a bluetooth speaker. Yeah, I said it. For even better sound, you can go with a wired connection.

Purchased in July and now it won't charge. Contacting Harman Kardon for warranty exchange.

Just got mine delivered by UPS and I am currently having a solo dance party in my living room... Originally thought I wanted the Bose Soundlink color, until I actually heard it in the store, terrible. Logged on Black Friday and happened to see this one for $150/ $300 off and after doing some research decided to go ahead and order it without seeing/ hearing in person. Was initially surprised after I unpacked, it's a bit larger than I thought it would be, about 12" diameter. Obviously size equates to better sound quality, and I am blown away by the sound! It's decently loud, although bass decreases if turned up all the way, but overall for the price and portability, I think it is amazing. I have a 1500 SF condo, and I can hear it reasonably well all over the house when setup on the first floor. I never write product reviews, but had to on this one, I love it!

Constantly shuts down or disconnected Bluetooth when within normal range.

I've listen to several genre (classical, jazz, reggae and holiday) of music since having this speaker and so far no complaints. It gives me a little extra bass when needed and clarity when I want (it's almost as if it detects the music that I'm playing). I haven't tried using it off of the power adapter, so I can't comment on how long the battery power lasts. The design blends nicely with most decor.

Highly satisfied. Order came quickly, received in time for Christmas. The sound quality is superb and it is easy to use.

Love this speaker! It has great sound quality and GREAT bass. Definitely worth it.

This is my first wireless/bluetooth speaker purchase, and I'm glad I picked this Harman Kardon. HK's always make excellent audio products, and this speaker is no exception. I've played pop, jazz, rock, classical and even some foreign music/songs on this and it reproduced the melodies perfectly. No harsh and pitching highs, nor muffled rumble lows. Great room filling power too, if needed!!

I am posting the review for this speaker after 1 year of usage. I was a little skeptical before buying HK as compared to BOSE, however the speakers outperformed in every aspect. The sound clarity is awesome and immersive. It can easily fill a large room with clear sound. Got this for 149 USD during 2015 black Friday deal and i am very satisfied with the service from best buy and the quality of the product. Pros - Scintillating and immersive sound, Bluetooth and Aux connectivity, Battery power (easily works for 5+ hours on one charge), build quality. Cons - To some size may be one (it is large to carry around), no low battery indicator or warning before it switches off, Support legs are non adjustable, connects only one device at a time. My Advice - Go for it and you will not be disappointed. Absolutely worth the money !!

This speaker has really good sound quality to be compact. Except, there's no remote control, can not control base or treble via the speaker, when connected to my television, the sound quality isn't as clear or loud as playing through my television. I purchased it right before Christmas for $149 for myself and it's worth that. However, I gave it to my son for Christmas after sampling it and comparing it to my Kickerbox.

I have enjoyed using this speaker all over the house and everyone says it sounds great and puts out a lot of bass. Only problem is the battery does not last long on this device. Having Bluetooth for calls and an Aux plug in in the back made this much better than the first onyx studio. I definitely recommend.

My intention was to purchase a Bose system but to my relief, three different workers recommended this speaker system. When the speaker system was playing from an apple device, it was crystal clear. I listened to all the other speakers available within Best Buy and nothing compared to this one. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this speaker on black friday for just $145(!!!). Great sound, clean, good bass and built with quality that you can see and feel. Everybody think that sound is from a bigger speaker. My best purchased ever.....

First of all the speaker is not that loud. It does sound really good. But i am having alot of problems because the speaker is turning off within 20min when on battery mode. It just turns its sell off. But the battery is not dead.

I teach PE and needed something to replace my Beats Pill XL after the recall. This speaker does the job and can fill my middle school gym with sound. The music is still clear with a solid range of tones. My only complaint is it was marketed to me as portable, but I have found while I can move it easily it has to be plugged in for power.
