Tv was not worth it. WiFi constantly disconnects and tv is very slow. Make sure you can install apps you use because the Google app store didn't have the one most important to me. Because it would have been a big hassle to return it due to my disability I just kept it and connected a roku.

This is not reflective on the brand as a whole since it’s an entry-level series. If you’re looking for a get the job done screen this will do, Other than that this is an android TV that won’t wow anyone who has a fire stick or fire TV.

Worst!!

It jumps from hdmi to tv to whatever on it’s own. I have to unplug it to restart it constantly. Definitely would never ever purchase this brand again!

Remote stopped working

The replacement was out of stock. We are back to using our old tv. Very disappointed.

Don't recommend this TV!

The background color was red the whole time. We reset the TV three times and still had the same issue. We returned it immediately and had to pay more for a decent TV. Goes to show you you get what you pay for but it should not have been immediately after setting it up! Buyer beware of this brand.

bought two of them as a gift, both broke in 4 mo

Aslo the audio on both tv's went out, now its sounds like static under water.

Large Dark corner

Terrible OS

WARNING- DO NOT BUY THIS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As I unboxed my Hisense H5500 I liked the very slim screen profile. I purchased the 40 inch. Then I noticed the power cord was fixed to the TV. I haven't seen that since the 90's. Seemed a little off to me but I figured its not a big deal. I then plugged in the TV and started it up. I immediately noticed discoloration on points of the screen when viewed at an angle. I overlooked it and continued setup. I loaded up my Netflix account and put on some streaming content. That of which took me a long time because of how lax and slow the CPU is on the TV. This is point blank a children's starter smart TV and is way over priced. The content on Netflix juddered a lot and looked terrible. Colors are washed over and there is no detail in the contrast. It is terrible and I do not reccomend buying this. Hisense has some great TV's. Like the H8F and H9F 4K TVs. Obviously those are alot more expensive. But well worth the money. After about 20 minutes I had a good list of reasons to return this. Terrible judder in video, slow and ineffective remote control, terribly slow wifi reciever, color is washed out, poor detail contrast, no good video presets, fixed power cord, spotty discoloration on screen, and light flicker during any lighting change. All in all this is like I said, a children's starter TV that is way over priced. In conclusion I took it back and exchanged it for a Samsung 5 series 40 inch 1080P TV. And let me say it is awesome will definitely review for 5 stars. The funniest and saddest thing is it's the same cost as the Hisense H5500. Good luck and do not buy this TV.

WORST THING EVER!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So boom.. I was trying to “Save money” and get an inexpensive tv for my 14 yr old daughter’s bedroom. BIG MISTAKE!! Knew I messed up when I realized it’s an android tv.. nuff said. Thought I’d give this brand a chance, what’s the worst that can happen, right. I plug the tv into the outlet and connect it to the cable, turn it on. It takes 22 seconds to actually turn. As it isn’t enough Hisense has decided to remind us that it’s a “Hisense Android tv” and then “Android”. You answer a few questions “English” “Yes”, then connect to the wifi. Answer a few more questions and then it reboots itself for an”update”. Bruh at this point I’m irritated and just wanna throw the tv away but I give Hisense a chance. After the tv was rebooted and updated (10mins). Hisense reminds me yet AGAIN that it’s a “Hisense Android tv” and then “Android” and reboots itself yet again. I’m so done.. it shouldn’t take me an hour to set up a tv. Just know the tv went back to the store TAHDAY!!

great tv for grandma

Also this tv wifi is slow. takes youtube to fully launch maybe 8-10 minutes. while using a firestick its close to 30 seconds. on a bad day a minute. 1 feature i do love is that it has a google play store so u can get tubi. love the app, has very nice movie selection. it's a very good starter tv for grandparents or mother/dad. if it wasnt for the bad wifi speeds id give it a 4 stars. gonna try to hook it up directly since it does have a ethernet port on the back. until then i stand by my rating :)
