Great budget 4k HDR for my cave!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this on a pre-black Friday sale for $500. Love it! Pros: Mostly great picture(see Cons), a ton of Apps(if you have fast internet the UltraFlix is a really cool pay 4k service-many 4k movies not on disc yet), easy to set up. Nice speakers. Accepts a wide variety of color schemes(4:2:0,4:2:2,4:4:4, RGB in 8-12bit depending on the connected device). Price. HDR. All the options you'd expect from a much higher priced 4k TV. Cons: You need to be pretty close to the center of the screen for best quality and also sitting back around 6-10 feet. This is because of the type of panel they used. It just barely gives the specs needed for HDR while competing w/ OLED but you just can't beat the price. Non 4k stuff looks pretty bad. After installing I let it do its firmware update. Hasn't needed one since. I did have to go into HDMI menu to turn on the 2.0 specs. Once that was done everything else was pretty easy. I read a review on a tech site for the correct color calibration settings and tried them. Mostly it made the screen too dark but setting the color temp to Warm really made a difference. We have this in a cave connected to a Samsung 4k player(8500) and a very high end PC for 4k gaming. The Samsung is set to RGB expanded and shows HDR enabled(yay). The PC shows a variety of 8bit colors but let me do 4:2:2 in 12bit. I don't know the response time but I'd estimate it around 4-5ms. All in all very happy with this. For such a small price we get it lot from it. I do recommend it if your primary use will be 4k but if not . . . .

No Better 4K smart TV for money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, sound and color. Beats many of the higher priced TVs. Easy menu to follow which allows easy programming. Only negative is limited viewing angle which allows picture to wash out. Great value for the money, especially with 4 yr in home parts and labor warranty. This is the 3rd Hisense TV I now own.

Great affordable option!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This turned out to be a great purchase. Picture was very comparable to Sony at the time of purchase at almost half the price. Very worth considering if you’re in the market. Obviously, recommend seeing in person and comparing to similar models, but I would recommend this product as an affordable option. Actually, ended up being a second one just last year.

It's a TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV after I had previously purchased a smaller model. Pros: 4K (come in great when streaming from Netflix) Cheap in price Comes with a 4 year warranty standard from MFR Cons: 60 Refresh rate Processor seems relatively slow Norms: Basic Smart TV (by this I mean, Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, Amazon, Vudu, Facebook, etc. I said basic because most smart TV's come with those apps standard these days). Has an app to play games, and other various apps. Overall, you get what you pay for. You won't be getting Android TV, Chromecast or anything standard, but for more variety, you can add a third party streaming device easily, because it has several HDMI inputs. I have had many TV's in the past, and this is no where NEAR the quality of my previous TV's, minus an LG I have, but in the same aspect, I didn't pay anywhere as NEAR for this as I paid for the other ones. If you are big on TV's (pixels, processor, refresh rate, 3D, etc) stay away from this TV. However, if you want a TV, and want to get into the next era of TV's with 4K, don't have a major concern for the picture, and are good with basic streaming app's, this is an exceptional value. BB typically has this device on sale from time to time, so I would wait if you have the patience. Summery, videophiles stay away. If you don't know what a videophile is, then this should work for you.

great TV for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, the fabulous reviews this model has gotten are one of the major things that sold me on it; and no regrets! The picture is gorgeous, and I can't say enough good things about how easy it was to set up, and how easy it is to use! I really haven't used the smart TV part all that much; I heart my roku. But it seems pretty easy to use in my (fairly brief) exploration. I do like having buttons for Netflix and Amazon right on the remote! My only real complaint would be that this TV came with with V-shaped feet at either end instead of a central pillar. I mounted it so not a major problem But FYI!

Great 4k TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As other have said this is a very good picture and Yes i recomend it!. I made my purchase in May and was disappointed to learn it only had a one year waranty as this turned out to be a 2017 version. I discovered after talking with Hisense support that I had the newest operating system and HDR function when viewing the Netflix app. So all is good. I did buy the GS 5 year warranty. The HDR looks great especially viewing Marco Polo on Netflix. I did discover that each app or source has the picture mode set to energy saver so press menu and select your favorite picture mode and the picture comes alive instantly. I prefer the standard picture mode. Overall great TV! Would have given it a perfect rating if viewing angle was slightly better from the sides. Great picture, HDR looks fantastic from Netflix and 4k upscaling super. Buy one.

A Black Friday deal that couldn't be ignored
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had never heard of the brand Hisense, but at the price point we bought it for $499.99, coupled with a 4 year warranty, it was too good to pass up. The Geek Squad installation (with full motion wall bracket) cost more than the TV! We had to fiddle with the setup to get the rich colors/contrasts that you see in the store, but you can find what those are in other reviews. Picture is GREAT for the regular 1080HD. Gotta try out some 4K material here soon.

Good budget 4k T.V.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall for the price I am very happy with this T.V. It’s VA panel does well with black levels when watching in a dark room, but like other reviewers have stated the viewing angles do suffer because of this. Out of the box the picture is ok, but tweaking is definitely needed. I also have a 2015 Vizio M-Series and I believe that this Hisense does a better job at up-scaling cable signals. The picture just looks a little sharper on the Hisense when watching cable T.V. Blu-ray and 4k look awesome through both. My only issue with the T.V. up to this point is I watch a lot of golf and I am seeing some ghosting on the player’s golf club either when they are taking practice swings or their regular swing. I have tried adjusting the motion controls as high as 5 and also turned them off and so far nothing has resolved this. Right now they are off. Setting up this T.V was extremely easy and the onscreen menus are simple and I had no problems following them. I have not tried HDR through it at this time. Bottom line, good picture quality, easy setup right out of the box, and hard to beat for the price.

What a bargain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has such a beautiful picture even using an indoor HD antenna. The remote has everything you need without a lot of buttons you never use. The sound is ok, but all these thinner TV’s have this same issue. It has all the bells and whistles of the more expensive brands plus it has HDR for better picture quality. I went by the specs and reviews to finalize my decision to purchase this Hisense TV. You won’t be disappointed!

Great Bang for Your Buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv after watching some YouTube & CNet reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the great picture quality. Full 4K UHD + HDR (HDR is only for 2 out of the 4 HDMI ports & 1 usb port though); this set gives you fantastic colors & the blacks are nice sharp and dark. It's great for Xbox One X or 4K Netflix. Nice budget set that doesn't feel like it's a budget set.

Picture quality exceeded expectations!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our 15+ year Samsung decided to retire itself and we had to familiarize ourselves with the new market of tv's and options. We narrowed down the 4K as a must option but was conflicted on the brand and also concerned about price. The sales associate advised Hisense is a little new to the market and to gain a larger customer based is offering a better warranty than the competitors. We jumped at that and couldn't be any more pleased. Set up was very user friendly and quick. The quality is amazing. We've had it just shy of a year now and no issues, we love it!

Best value for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality surpassed my expectation. The blu ray movies (Rio) was crisp and clear. Like many flat screen TVs, the sound quality is subpar but with any sound bar, it feels better than a movie theater. Set up was easy, Wifi connection works great. You Tube, Netflix and Amazon are great on this TV. Directv transmit at 720,480p, 60hz, which .

Solid 4k television for the budget minded buyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a plasma that is in good working order, keep it. You won't find a TV with deeper colors and better refresh rates on the market at the $500-$600 price point. If however you are looking to upgrade from an older LCD to a 4k television and don't want to commit over a $1,000 towards the "latest and greatest" then this may be a good fit for you. The picture looks great when viewed directly from the front, I would say it is comparable to the more popular name brand televisions. However, the viewing angles on this television are horrid. The reds look brown and all the colors washout when viewing the television outside of a 30 or 40 degree angle. If you are sitting directly in front of the unit this will not be a concern. 4k content looks great as well, keep the viewing angles in mind (I can't stress that enough) and adjust the picture and color modes according to personal preference to get the most out of this T.V. The television does fine with movies and decent with gaming. A hardcore gamer may scoff at the latency, but this full time dad and part time gamer can't track the difference. Cost is the selling point here. Product seems to be at a mid-grade level. If you want to enter into the 4k market and not spend a lot of money this is a good product for that end.

Best TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cant say enough about this tv, I have been using it for about a week now. We bought it to replace a 46" tv in our loft and I did alot of research before buying this tv. I found a Sony with HDR in the same size at my local store that was open box. It was still $100 more and after speaking to the employees, they guaranteed I would be happier with this unit, I am glad I listened to them. We have streamed 4k video off youtube and have hooked up a ps4 pro, and no doubt this tv handles both perfectly! For the price, this tv is a steal, dont pass this up if you are looking for a 4k HDR tv. You cam spend $2-300 more and possibly get equal or less. Going up to say $900-1000 range will get you more but for $499 I am amazed at this tv!

5 Star TV Minus 1 Star for 1 problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off let me say I'm coming from a Panasonic Plasma. In general I hate LCD's, they just look so unnatural to me, coupled with bad viewing angles...lets just say I really prefer plasmas. Since they don't really make them anymore and my TV is going on 10 years old figured it was finally time to upgrade. This is an "HDR-lite" model meaning it supports it and definitely looks different, but doesn't support the full brightness levels that HDR is required to. Personally I'm fine with that, can't imagine it being much more than it is...would start to look too fake. Anyway overall this is an AMAZING TV, great colors, black levels (even out of HDR)... One issue is that it's viewing angle is pretty bad, even for an LCD. That being said, in this price range I can't image you finding a better TV. Even ones priced $200+ more don't look this good and share all the same issues (bad viewing angles, etc). Basically, if you're anything but some SUPER picky videophile you'll love this set. Although I definitely recommend looking up calibration suggestions online, calibrating this does a word of difference!

Good 4K TV for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have enjoyed the Hisense 4K TV thus far. Have been impressed by the quality of the picture at a reasonable price. It has apps built in such as Netflix, Amazon, etc., so we can stream show directly from the tv without an add-on player. I would definitely recommend this product, it is a good buy!

Great 4k starter tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited 2 weeks to write this review but I bought this tv after 7 days of consideration, I read all the reviews and watched all the videos on cnet and YouTube. It's a great tv its an awesome companion for my Xbox one S, I was mad originally because they told me all the features of the tv but when I went to switch to 4k my Xbox said it was not compatible and it will only display 1080p. Well what I found out reading the manual is that the 2 HDMI ports on the side will only show in 1080p but the ports in the back will show UHD and man oh man, when I tell you that makes a difference it does. My only complaint about this tv is I hope at some point they get hulu plus on the opera tv app store. Best feature 4 year manufacturer warranty, hisense I took a chance on you and your product is great, keep this up please

Amazed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The review summary says it all. For the price, the picture quality on this Hisense 55 inch 4K ultra hd smart tv is outstanding. Set up was easy and experienced no problems or issues. Best part of all is that as long as this tv is registered within a set amount of time, the warranty will be for 4 years. That is amazing for a tv of this price. Much, much better then the warranty on my expensive Samsung TV's. If I had to do it again, I definitely would re-purchase this tv.

A Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv after the recommendation of the Best Buy sales associate. I had my eye on the TCL but felt the HDR of this tv was better quality. I wasn’t disappointed after the geek squad installed it with my new sound bar. It’s a great value for the price I wanted to pay.
