I called to have it looked at and the parts it needed were not available so since I bought the extended warranty it was replaced with a similar Samsung model.

We had to deal with some minor quirks but they weren't deal breakers, anything HDR or playing 4K Blu-rays would completely darken the screen making watching anything HDR unwatchable. This TV only lasted us about two and a half years. Started going out when the upper right section of the TV started to dim heavily making one section of the screen darker than the rest of the TV and the day after, the whole TV's screen started to completely fade out and dim to where even with settings maxed out, we had a hard time watching anything.

Tv not worth the price

The tv customer service is awful and wont get back to you so look into geek squad with it

poor quality tv

Purchased this one in September 2017 and now 4 months later it doesn't work- can't get a picture. After my experience with the first Hisense TV, I knew to get a service contract. The first lasted 18 months before I could not get a picture. I Had registered it and got a 4year warranty from Hisense which they didn't honor because I could not find the original receipt.

Lousy picture because of refresh rate

Couldn't watch ANYTHING without looking blurry, choppy and pixelated. Returned it and bought a Samsung 8 series. Worth every penny of the extra cost.

Great Value

This 55 inch set replaced a 2014 Vizio M Series that died due to power board issues. The picture quality looks far better than it did on my Vizio set and I'm not even talking about just in 4K I'm talking about normal cable TV. HDR gaming on my Xbox One S is amazing as well. Just be advised that if you plan on using a Xbox One S, One X, or PSPro you'll want to use HDMI 2 and not HDMI 3 or 4 so you can utilize HDR. I'm also impressed with the sound quality, it's much better than what I had w/ my Vizio where I needed a soundbar since the speakers were back facing. That is not the case w/ this Hisense the out of the box sound is pretty good which was another pleasant surprise. This is an outstanding value and the fact that it includes a 4 yr warranty is added piece of mind. I definitely recommend this TV.

Great for Straight On Viewing

Decent TV, not a "Smart" tv.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, THIS TV CANNOT CURRENTLY INSTALL SLING OR HULU. If this isn't an issue for you, cool. It worked well enough, and the clearmotion was easy enough to disable (I like 60hz more). However this TV is SEVERELY lacking in app downloadability. It only allows access to a select few, none of which I cared about. If you need your TV to be smart, get a 55" TCL. That's what I bought when I returned this one.

Sound Not Working Properly - Bad Support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The screen looks great, the problem is the tv sound for apps like netflix for example, do not work with surround sound. One of the selling points for me was the warranty offered on the tv. But the warranty means nothing, when you can't get support. I contacted support, via email. When they finally responded, I was advised it was a firmware bug and would be provided a firmware update soon. Shortly thereafter I was provided the update, install instructions, and advised if the update did not work, that a technician would need to be sent to my house. One has yet to be sent and support will not respond to my email requests for a status update. So in case someone from Hisense tries to respond to this review telling me to call them, if I had the time to call, I would not have communicated via email to start with in the first place. If email does not work, it should not even be an option.

You cannot add streaming services that are not already preprogrammed into tv. So now had to buy a chrome cast. Speakers are underneath tv, so either we have to turn up so high to hear or buy a sound bar. I feel there must be a better tv out there for the money!!
