EXCELLENT PICTURE! Great Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The family gives it 8 thumbs up! If you are in the market for a 65" tv set, the Hisense 65H9G is a super compelling offer and has been highly anticipated...and it delivers! Hisense has really delivered with this set in the high-end category, but with a lower purchase price compared to its rivals. There isn't a reason I can think of to not buy this set. It has a great picture out of the box, and the design and build is super nice! This set is upgrading a still great 11 year old LG55 Passive 3D TV, but with the size of the bezels of it compared to the Hisense, the spacial footprint is almost the same. Sure the 65" is still bigger, but it doesn't overfill the area were we prefer our set to be. A huge plus is that it does great in rooms with high ambient light. Normally this is achieved with a matte screen finish, but the Hisense is very glossy and the claimed 1000nits brightness comes through to make this tv bright to fight glare and the glossy screen makes the image really pop. Alita: Battle Angel is the defacto test movie these days, I can say, it looks phenomenal! There are many dark scenes with neon cityscapes and just amazing to see the upgrade in picture quality from that scene. HDR has a huge effect on this over 4k alone, but this set with its high peak nit brightness really helps draw out that contrast. OLED has the standard on the inky blacks, but the reality is OLED has burn-in issues still and doesn't do well in high ambient lighting, so for me its not a good option. Highly recommend a 4K Blu-ray Player to get the most out of the 4K and HDR functions. Current life situations are causing Netflix, Vudu, etc to lower the bandwidth to keep the image from buffering due to higher use of internet bandwidth. This causes the image quality to drop to accommodate the low bandwidth. And at that point Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+ are irrelevant as it is attached to the 4K stream. I love that it has all the current options for HDR and even one that isn't utilized much, HLG, which will be for broadcast television; definitely is a bit future-proof in that department. Off angle viewing even for this kind of panel (VA) is actually pretty good. I was surprised at how good it did look, as my expectations were quite low for extreme angle viewing. Dark content will be harder to see, but sitcom type shows will be just fine. The reference photo can give you an idea the angle. SmartPlatform is AndroidTV, I'm a huge Roku fan, but AndroidTV is pretty nice, especially with the tie in to my Google Account and setting up my streaming apps. I utilize Smart Password, so I didn't have to type in a single log-in for my various apps, which was a huge time saver during setup. If you are coming from an Amazon Platform, welcome to the light side! Coming from Roku, you'll get used to it. Coming from an LG or Samsung, get ready for simplicity that is functional (I loathe their OS's). Vizio is the closest comparison to the Android TV platform, mostly because it borrows from it, but nowhere near the app selection; nor does Vizio allow you to delete Apps or download for that matter. The Hisense/Android TV does allow you delete certain apps, the system apps are there to stay, but like Android Mobile OS, can be hidden away in the App drawer, and a row set aside for your selected favorites, as I write this I'm becoming more of a fan of Android TV. The settings menu is all Hisense UI, and it is a simple interface, accessing it does automatically pause any streaming content. You can access the full suite of calibration settings to dial the TV into your liking. There are some reviews from top sites that dig into that sort of thing I plan on seeing what they recommend and if it is any better than current out of the box settings; again I'm quite happy with! Hisense adds the external mic for more "Always-On' voice command tie-in to Google Assistant, but it can be turned off both in the Hisense settings and via physical switch on the front. Huge KUDOS to them for that. The remote still has the mic there, but it is manually activated, so it is not always listening. This set does have bluetooth available for other accessories, however, I had some issue getting some wireless earbuds connected; took two tries. The TV said they were not, the buds said they were, then the tv said they were, but the option for Audio via Bluetooth wasn't available. Turning off the buds, and back on a few minutes later, they were back into pairing mode, so I deleted it from the TV and reconnected and it all worked and immediately switched the audio output to bluetooth. Not as convenient solution as Roku's Private Listening via phone app where you can utilize wired set (if your phone still has that) but definitely a good option Range is quite good too. This isn't a knock against the TV, just highlighting differences between Android TV and Roku. Also, the Remote is bluetooth! Nowhere did I find this stated, but figured it had to be since it has a mic. During the initial setup it never asked me to pair the remote, and later found in the Quick Start Guide. I was concerned because my soundbar just barely obscured the IR sensor and a raised arm approach was necessary to do anything, and slowly at that. The IR use also I found a bit laggy compared to the BT use. User Tracking, Hisense and Google are upfront about what they would like to track and ask you during setup (actually the longest part of the setup process), I'm not a fan of that even if it is anonymous, but at least they are up front. I love the design of the TV the nearly bezeless display and the stand. While the stand will go mostly unnoticed being hidden behind the soundbar (which isn't a must for this tv, but definitely a worthy upgrade) I love the fact that stand is centrally located, I don't like edge stands for these current tvs. Personally I don't like large tv stands. Nitpicks: 1)Power cord is a little short, could be about twice as long. The tv has built-in wire managment, but the power cord comes out of the right side, With the built in cable management its quite tight to utilize. My surge protector sits in the bottom middle of my TV cabinet. 2) Amber lights on IR sensor/Mic Switch. They sem to be only on when the MIC is OFF. When Mic is On, it flashes a blueish green and they go off. Since I want it OFF all the time I am left seeing the amber glow, thankfully though not super bright. However, I am noticing after a few more days use there is no amber lights with mic off. The Quick Start Guide doesn't speak to this at all. Dunno? And that's where the negatives end! This is my 3rd Hisense TV in 4 years, not due to failure, just upgrading. And while all the others have been entry-level budget tv'sth, but good quality, this one definitely hits the premium mark, but below the premium price point. Family movie nights will be awesome!

Great bang for the buck!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never thought I would be a proud owner of a Hi-Sense tv. I’ve always been a fan of name brands. This tv has been a great value! The Hisense is replacing is a 65” 4k brand-named tv without HDR, and is about 5 years old. I did a side-by-side comparison the day I got the tv by using Youtube and Netflix. First thing I played was Our Planet on Netflix. Wow, what a difference! This tv has some black blacks and white whites. The colors were rich and fantastic, I could see flaws on my old TV that I never realized were there. Next I played Umbrella Academy which has Dolby Vision as well. Compared both TV’s side by side, scene by scene. This is where things got confusing. The picture quality was very similar, even hard to tell which one was better. I had worked on calibrating my TV for about an hour to try and find the right colors and ended up using the default settings of Dolby Vision Day mode. I expected more wow from Dolby Vision, but I’m sure it depends on the content. The picture quality is good, just wasn’t a huge difference with Umbrella ACademy, but different movies will look comparatively different. Other 4k Bluray movies and streaming have looked fantastic, while some seem to be on par with each other. Speaking of Dolby Vision, this is also one of the few tv’s that offers all the popular HDR formats: Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR 10, HLG. The colors are rich and bright which I really like. Dolby Atmos is available if you have the proper sound system in-place too. It really comes with plenty of tech. That combined with barely existing bezels, an Android system built-in to the TV, very dark blacks and white whites, it definitely exceeded my expectations. Google Assistant This TV has Android TV built into it. I have a Google Home device and an Android with Google Assistant, everything is connected together through CEC so I can turn my TV on by voice and it turns my receiver on. While watching Vudu movies, I can just say “Hey Google, Pause” and its works great. It’ll open my apps just fine and my Google Home knows to automatically reference the TV. My first high-tech experience using Google assistant, able to turn my tv, receiver, and connected devices by using my voice. Conclusion: I was originally planning on upgrading to an OLED next year when I’ve paid off a few more things, but now I’m honestly rethinking that decision with this impressive quality. Especially since OLED’s are typically dimmer TV’s and this Hisense is spoiling me fantastic brights. I’ve read reviews about this TV and it seems like Hisense is really making a name for themselves with this model and the previous generation. For the price point, I really think you get a great TV. Highly recommend getting it if you’re on the fence. The attached image was posted on a FB Dolby page and I immediately had people asking what TV I had and received hundreds of likes.

My love for this tv lasted just 2 weeks
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going start this of by saying I absolutely love this tv. The picture is amazing, the colors are vibrant and the blacks are great. But after turning it on today I am just absolutely devastated. This tv shouldn't have this bad of a burn in effect after just two weeks. Also there is some bad flickering going on near the bottom of the screen. It's crazy because it was perfectly fine the night before. I will be returning this tv and I'm not even sure if I will be replacing it with the same or going with a different brand

Setting the new bar for performance and value.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impression was that this is a beautiful TV. The bezels are basically non-existent, and the glass screen is placed on top of the frame -not encased, giving it a unique look (see posted picture). The feet are a bit wide (13”) considering the TV’s size. This can leave a deep gap between the TV’s back and the wall or end of the stand, so keep that in mind. The good news is that the TV is wall mount-ready for those who can install one. This set offers several connectivity options, including four HDMI, composite, analog, Wi-Fi (wireless, ethernet, or Bluetooth) and USB which powers my over-the-air-antenna. Speaking of over-the-air channels, this TV was able to pick up almost 25% more channels than my other sets, with less break-up (I do not have cable, only internet). The Android platform has provided a pleasant experience so far. After almost 45 minutes of updates (eek!), I was able to sign in to google and set up the various apps I normally use with no issues at all. Moving from app to app is smooth. The TV has a mic for voice commands for Chromecast, google assistant, and even Alexa. It picks up voice rather well even at a good distance. The TV did misunderstand me a few times and, strangely, the mic woke up on its own at hearing the TV occasionally. Casting from my android phone worked very nicely. Now, this TV can get incredibly bright. The specs say 1000nits, but I would dare say it is probably more than that. This makes it specifically great for day viewing -even in direct sunlight. The viewing angles are decent. Straight out of the box, the Quantum dot display’s picture is quite amazing having Dolby Vision, HDR-10+, and local dimming. Black colors are incredibly deep, the colors really pop, and the contrast is superb. I think it is quite striking. However, after watching content from several sources, I started to notice that there was a bit of ghosting (double images in high-motion scenes). Also, when watching lower than 4k resolution video, blurring and color bleeding occurred. Gaming suffered because of the noticeable input lag as well. Thankfully, the H9G offers a substantial amount of options and features for a better viewing experience. There are presets that I found were actually helpful and distinctive. From vivid to energy saving, there is something for everyone. Personally, I go between energy saving during the day and Theater Low mode at night. For the picture enthusiast, I am happy to say that there are plenty of options. From backlighting, contrast, and tone, every preset can be further tuned to one’s liking. Even better, there is a calibration option for the true enthusiast. I also appreciated the Gaming preset. This mode allows for less input lag, which translates to higher accuracy when playing games -especially high-speed competitive matches. Funny thing is, I was so used to compensate for the lag that I had to adapt to the low latency! Having a high-end ATMOS sound system, I was pleasantly surprised that the TV’s own sound is quite good. While the bass is not where I would like it to be, it is clear and loud even at 10%. The TV offers sound through HDMI ARC, optical, Bluetooth, and even 3.5mm. While I would still highly recommend a sound system or bar, I will say that, unlike with other TV’s, this time it may not be as necessary. Certainly not perfect, but the picture quality, options, and sound make the H9G a great value to beat and super easy to recommend.

HDR broken on games and purple trail ghosting
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my 65 inch Hisense TV from best buy and i gotta say I was amazed at first. Edges are not dark in the corners, no dirty screen effect, and great dolby vision. Unfortunately major problems exist that i hope can be fixed via firmware update. These tv's have flaws that could be a potential deal breaker for some. HDR gaming is fundamentally broken on this tv especially with ghost of tsushima where the blacks are purple. some 4k HDR movies, specifically Creed 2 has a terrible ghosting and purple trail around characters movement in during dark scenes. also the whole movie seems to have a nasty soap opera effect even when motion is turned off. Hope they are working to fix these problems otherwise TV would be amazing. my return window is closing so i may not have the time to wait for a potential fix.

Was nice for a few days
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been anxiously awaiting this TV's release for months. After doing much research on the previous H9F model, and the H9G, I decided to pull the trigger on the H9G. It was easy to setup, and the picture quality was stunning, but after a few days the screen begin to turn purple for a few minutes at a time. I did also notice some DSE and gray uniformity issues with mine as well. I lost the panel lottery, and I ultimately wound up returning it. Its a shame because the image quality was on par with Samsung and Sony flagship models. This is the second Hisense TV I have owned that has had problems. The first one quit working after about 18 months. You get what you pay for I suppose.......

Impressive In Well Lit Areas, Price Can't Be Beat!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the 65" H9G set up in the garage (aka the ‘Man Cave’) because I have been spending a lot of time there. It’s the Man Cave, of course. My concern of having a TV in there is the amount of daylight that pierces through when the garage door is open. The H9G does not disappoint in nits. And the hardware itself looks nice, too. Appearance is on par with the high end TVs of today; virtually no bezels. Since it is an Android TV, some old skool folks may be surprised with the setup process upon boot up. It’s like setting up your new Android phone and you have to provide personal information and consent to many things. This could turn off some buyers, but I’m sure if you can bypass all this and go straight to the HDMI inputs. But I welcome this tech, of course. Setup to WiFi was very easy in conjunction with my Android phone and I find it refreshing to have a TV that is an extension of my phone. I did feel like the Android TV was a little slow to respond to remote control inputs, which can be annoying. Good news is that Google is always improving things and you will get occasional OTA updates to the TV. I plan to use this TV solely with streaming media and video games. For this TV, I feel like picture setup is something you cannot avoid. I have been able to trigger SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision formats and each have their own respective settings. The biggest thing I found for each is that the picture was warmer than I wanted it to be, but was able to mitigate that with some simple changes. I also noticed that the audio will try to determine the best way to produce output (sports vs movie, etc), but couldn’t decide what to choose and flip flop. I pegged that setting to “standard” for now. Audio is pretty darn good for the TV, by the way; it sounds very full and not tinny at all. Anyway, be prepared to tinker with the picture settings to get that best picture quality. There are a lot of resources online for the H9G to give you a head start. Picture quality is superb, and the handling of black levels for this LED TV surprised me. It’s one of the things that I always look for in a TV. The local dimming does indeed work (and you can find many tests on YouTube for that) to see where the local dimming happens on the screen for this TV. It’s my first experience with a TV with local dimming and it’s not bad at all!! Picture contrast is outstanding (once you have the picture settings dialed in). Scenes from Starcourt Mall from the season 3 finale of Stranger Things completely blows my mind (and eyes, for that matter). It just makes my 65" OLED in the family room seem very dark! With respect to an OLED, the things that you will still encounter are blooming and black level performance. Blooming, although handled very well, will still continue to show (think Stranger Things main title against black background). Black levels, again handled very well with local dimming, will struggle in areas like this. Bottom line: I recommend the H9G, hands down. For the price, value and quality, it cannot be beat.

Impressive color contrast and truest black
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to look up what’s 4K ULED means. ULED is a term that Hisense TV uses to encompass 4 different technologies: Ultra Wide Colour Gamut, Ultra Local Dimming, Ultra 4K Resolution and Ultra Smooth Motion Rate. Since I am not very technical, basically ULED technology allows for big contrast of color and from what I saw, can also produce a truest black. I have to admit that I was initially skeptical about Hisense TV. Since I am not familiar with the brand and I usually stick to a more well known brands like Sony or LG, I was really surprised when I first put this TV on. With other TV, calibration is necessary to get the best picture possible. With this TV however, I just chose the Home mode during the initial setting and have not had to make anymore adjustment because the picture is already amazing. So let’s talk about each of the components of TV that people are usually looking for: Picture: Again, as I mentioned earlier, the picture is amazing. It displays a good color contrast that sometimes makes the picture looks like it was 3D. I watched nature shows to get a full experience and I can say I am very impressed with what I see. Even though the TV is technically an LED backlight TV, it’s able to produce one of the truest black that I have seen on a TV. Audio Just like with any other TV that I own, to get a full experience of the sound, a soundbar/sound system is needed. The speaker on this TV is okay for a small room but not enough to project the best sound possible. Android TV and Google Assistant I have love and hate relationship with Android TV. The interface is friendly enough and with Google apps, you can download most of the popular apps, including HBO MAX and Disney+. Apple TV apps is not in Google. However, you can use other streaming devices since the TV comes with 4 HDMI connections, enough for a streaming devices, blu ray/4K player and whatever games consoles you have. Wall mount I haven’t mounted the TV but it’s possible. Remote The remote is a voice control remote but I found it more annoying than useful because it doesn’t always work. However, every buttons in the remote is placed where it’s supposed to be, so there is no learning necessary to use the remote. Internet connection I have a 1TB internet connection. When I place this TV in the living room, where the wifi connection is strong, the TV connects to the internet without any issues even when I was watching 4K content. In summary, would I recommend this TV? Based on the picture quality alone, a big yes. But every other aspect of this TV actually making me think that Hisense is a pretty good TV without the heavy price tags that usually accompanies the other well known brand. I have the TV for about a week. So far, I am really impressed.

Checks off a lot of must haves in TVs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will get right to it. This TV has lots of great things that the more expensive brand name options offer as well. Let's start with the display, such a well made panel with vibrant colors. The whole OLED vs ULED debate comes down to personal preference. This TV'S colors are amazing and my pictures won't due it justice. It is also plenty bright for those rooms that have vast amount of sunlight coming in. I only take off a star for the sound quality but I wish I could just take off half a star because the speakers on this TV do a good job. The quality just isn't there in its sound range. You get a Bluetooth voice remote with a mic built in and the TV itself has one with an on/off switch in case you are paranoid of it listening in on you. Love that it has Android apps built in for ease of downloading. Google assistant features also pick up well. You can't go wrong with this best bang for your buck TV

Quality control problem
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV developed a huge problem in the lower half of the picture (see photos). The problem is not specific to an input. It started the second day after I installed the TV. The first day went fine, with great image but I had to adjust the settings for image - settings out of the box are bad. I am returning the TV to Best Buy to get a refund. Hisense seem to have a serious quality control problem. Based on this problem, I will probably pay more and go with a more known brand. Very inconvenient as the 65” set is heavy and it will take time to box it back.

This should be in your living room...Perfect TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv replaced my Hisense H9 Plus series 4k TV. All I can say is wow, this tv is amazing. Dark scenes look amazing. I did not see any blooming. This tv knows how to do contrast between dark objects next to bright objects. The tv is much thicker than the H9 it is replacing. I have this tv in the living room with a 12 foot sliding glass door and the brightness of the tv handles the brightness of the room during the day. Minimal reflections noted. I have had 2 google updates since setting up the tv. Sound is mediocre at best but I have built in ceiling speakers and sony receiver for dolby atmos sound. No issues with the apps provided. Netflix works great. With the tv off it looks amazing down to the stands. The stands are a much needed improvement. The stands span a width of 55-3/8 inches and fit my existing tv console. What I like: *Colors looks amazing *Blacks look deep and rich *All HDMI ports are 4k@60Hz *The tv gets bright for day watching with windows open *The picture looks amazing What I did not like: *Remote included is not backlit, buttons are loud when clicked, some buttons need to be pressed harder to register *Screen Glass is not in frame and sticks out (watch out when moving the tv, don't hold by the glass) *the tv stand could have bigger rubber non slip grips on the bottom Gaming: The tv scales good. I played at 1080P with my Alienware M17 and the picture looked great. No screen tearing noticed. When I played at 4K on Apex legends I was blown away how good it looked. I did not play long at 4K because my RTX 2070 on the laptop cannot really handle 4K gaming at a competitive level. Bonus content: When setting up this tv please take caution when removing from the box. The tv is in really tight in the styrofoam. Lift out closest to the edge and not on the glass. The glass of screen is not set in the frame. It sticks out a couple of mm (the gap is visible).

Great Picture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First Android TV I've ever used. I'm super impressed with the Smart Android interface. Set up was really easy, it walks you through very simply and if you have an Android phone setup is that much easier as it will use the logins and settings from your phone to set up the TV. So you are basically logged into all Google apps automatically. The rest like Netflix and Hulu you can use your phone to get logged into those too. The stand was super simple to install, 4 screws and you're done. I love simplicity. I am using default settings that come out of the box to review this TV. I couldn't be happier with the settings for the Dolby Vision, HDR-10+, and local dimming., everything is snappy (after the initial update and app installs that are happening when you first set it up) and menus flow smoothly. For instance, YouTube TV is a lot more snappy than using a Roku box, the Menus load faster and you can scroll through the live TV without effort. Having access to the Google play store is a definite plus, and better IMO than using a Roku. I feel apps will stay updated better and Google is constantly updating Android TV The sound quality is what you'd expect from TV speakers. Although they do get plenty loud, The sound is just a tad Muffled. I didn't have a problem watching a 2 hour movie though and I enjoyed the experience. I just feel your experience would be better with a decent sound bar. Watching the movie in a dark room you notice just how deep the blacks are on this VA panel. They are great and at a fraction of the cost of a Amoled panel TV. Ive read where other HiSense TV's had a viewing angle problem but I have to say that this TV had nice and wide viewing angles. I stood off to the side at close to 180 degrees and although you wouldn't want to watch TV at this angle I could still see the screen and it was plenty bright and sharp. The remote is great IMO, nice size text and large enough buttons you shouldn't have any problem finding and clicking the right one. The remote doesn't feel extremely premium but it gets the job done nicely. You have 4 dedicated buttons on the bottom and 4 programable buttons towards the middle of the remote. You have the choice to talk to either the remote or say the Hey Google command. The TV is always listening and it will open any app you say. I use YouTube TV a lot and I can tell it to play the next episode, skip ahead so many seconds and play pause all with out needing the remote. I love it. You can check the weather, the news, or just simply search google for answers. I can definitely recommend this TV to anyone wanting a 65' 4K Android TV with Dolby Vision, HDR-10+, and local dimming. Its just stunning.

Poor quality TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Watched this TV for about 20 hours total since owning it and now the screen has horrible flickering as seen in the pictures. Contacted Hisense support since I was outside the return window. It has been 14 days since starting the support case and now I have a destroyed TV and no idea when I will get a working one. I should have spent a little bit more to get a main brand TV and maybe have a TV that operates without issue.

Great Picture Quality but with a Major Flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to start off I'm a 30's male who has been a long time gamer. Hardcore Gamer to say the least. I was in the market for the next generation capabilities of the 2.1 HDMI. Now I know this H9G didn't have it but I also knew next generation console (PS5 & Xbox Series X) even though stated they would go 4K 120 I being realistic knew games would never hit this as High End $3,000 PC's struggle to hit this. For now it is just a pipe dream. But getting back to the H9G I have always used Samsung/Sony TV's for my gaming needs as I believe you will always get a solid, long lasting, and beautiful picture/product. What lead me to try the H9G by Hisense was the fact my friend owned the H9F (Hisense's last years high end tv) he spoke highly of it and so did many reviewers around the internet/social media about it being the best bang for your buck under $1,000. So when I first heard of the new H9G unveiled at CES and seen it in action I just had to try it when it went up for sale. I always use Best Buy for my purchases because of the great care they take getting my TV's to me. Always get a perfect panel. Amazon has been terrible in the past for me. Anyways, The day the H9G went up online I purchased one. 4 days later It was at the store, went for pick up, easy peezy. Got it home, hooked it up, did all the DSE, banding, all the tests I could to see how good a panel I got. It was perfect. I was very happy so far. Went straight to hooking my Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. Loaded up God Of War ( I always use it for testing HDR as it is a beautiful game imo) it looked okay but it needed settings tweeked for sure. The picture was not perfect at all out of box like you would see on a Sony but that's understandable as this tv has to cut cost somewhere. I will say the build quality and the way the tv is designed was beautiful though. Now getting back the picture I switched to game mode as that is where it should always be for gaming on any console as the input lag out of game mode is over 100ms and you will feel it. It is unplayable to me. In game mode it hovers around 15-16ms. Very responsive, fantastic motion. After I got the settings where i wanted them (calibrated and all that) the picture quality looked amazing and the HDR was popping. This $899 tv was starting to blow my mind and made me question all the expensive tv purchases I made for the better known brands in the past. I will say after playing a couple games I was having to change the color values on each game as it just didn't look right. Slightly kind of annoying tbh but I could live with it. Also a note about gaming out of game mode and using the motion enhancements for those that are interested it is terrible. You will see haloing and motion artifacts using this. Do not recommend. Now getting to the flaw that ultimately made me return this tv and get the Sony X900H. The next day after I received the H9G i got on Sea of Thieves with my buddy per usual and went straight to Arena. By this time I was extremely happy with this tv I was going to keep it. It was living up to all the hype spreading around the model. I could not believe what I was getting for $900. This tv looks as good as my Q8FN Samsung while having extremely inky blacks of my C9 OLED that I use for movies. Unreal (Btw before this I briefly watched a 4K movie on this H9G it looked fantastic) Getting back to Sea of Thieves as soon as I hit the lobby and loaded into a game. The match was in the dark, Battles insued and just as i go to the ladder of ship to fight of the boarders I start seeing a huge red smear like blur trails on the black backgrounds of objects when I strafe or jump up and down. I was taken a back because I had not seen this before. I checked my settings everything was the same. I kinda let it go thinking it was a bug in game though I never seen this before on my other tvs after 1,000's of hours of gameplay. So i quit the game, loaded it back up, back into arena I go. Go near black surfaces or items boom it is still there. Nerd in me kicks In I start troubleshooting. Changing settings, disabling/enabling, looking online for other ppl having this problem, check for tv updates, After about an hour I find nothing that helps makes this problem go away. It was very distracting. It kind of reminded me of these computer monitors with the freesync ghosting but x1000 because of the deep red smear this was displaying. Anyways I try another game with a night time scene (Assassins Creed Odyssey) find dark objects and background it is still there when jumping/strafing. I get off after this as I'm pretty angry and upset lol. Come back an hour later to get back on Sea of Thieves to try and fix again as soon as I hit the lobby on ARENA my tv screen goes DARK. Me clueless I start to try to turn off the tv and on...nothing. Finally after 1-2 mins the picture comes back with a full pint and purplish tint on the HDR screen. It has a liquid like movement as i move my character it was a nightmare say the least. So i turn off my console/ tv and turn back on. Everything is back to normal? So long story short I am not entirely sure if this was a defective panel or if this motion thing was a product of my tv being defective or this is a drawl back at how the tv handles movement. I had seen another video where a owner had the same pink and purplish tint come up after doing more research. So not sure if it's widespread or what. I know all brands will have defects and that's why you should always have a good warranty. Me though I wanted a tv that I know would last me a good couple years and I just had the feeling this Hisense Brand wasn't gonna cut it after all this. I didn't want to take the chance and constantly have to seek repairs and all the that. Follow my gut to say. That's my story. I hope it helped and sorry if I was all over the place as this is my first review. However, I wanted to get this out there as I know a lot of ppl are looking to this tv for gaming and I want them to be informed. Other than that the H9G is a fantastic tv with an amazing picture quality at its price point. I forgot to mention it does have blooming as well at the moderate lvl so if you're sensitive to that this tv might not be for you. There is a lot of things they can fix via tv patch updates but that smear I don't think that's possible. But maybe I was just apart of the unlucky few to get a defective model and the rest are fine? Who knows. You can only try it for yourself. I am glad I exchanged for the Sony X900H though as it is superior in every way for the extra money imo. No problems and very happy. Like the old saying goes "You get what you pay for" Good Luck out there Gamers.

Quantum leap in your viewing experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, this screen looks beautiful. I had been looking at buying a new 4K TV with quantum dots from different companies. I decided to go with the Hisense due to value. After experiencing the picture quality for a couple weeks, it looks beautiful. The blacks look darker than on a standard LED TV. Viewing 4K content makes things look really sharp. FYI, one of the things I recommend is changing the picture mode to “Theater Night” to get more realistic color tones since the “Standard” mode is a little too vibrant for my tastes. The built-in Android TV works incredibly well. So much so that I have pretty much stopped using my Roku Ultra box. It has all of my Roku apps except one and the navigation is more content filled and better designed. It looks much sleeker. It does a good job of showing not only your apps but also various content within the apps. For example, there are YouTube recommendations for myself and my kids. It shows featured shows, free movies, etc… It makes the viewing experience much nicer. If you have ever used YouTube tv it has a similar feel to it – having both apps and content mixed together well. I also like that it is integrated with my Google Home hub. This allows easy access for me when my kids are watching tv. The built-in Chromecast is seamless allowing me to stream anything I want from any smart device and the screensaver has gorgeous photos of landscape views. The look and feel is modern and classy. I like the way the feet sit on my entertainment system. As well as the TV blends well with my décor. For the price, this is an excellent value! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

Good bang for the buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good tv for the price. Glad I got the extended warranty because it did fail after about two years. I abused the heck out of it though, using it as my mancave tv. Good for the dollar, but nothing compared to the samsung's and lg's i've had.

Very impressive so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV came today and so far I am impressed. The contrast on this TV is great and black levels are amazing. Only lacking HDMI 2.1 so it cannot do 4k at 120hz. But I have a feeling it will be a while before games will git 120hz at 4K especially with ray tracing. Running through apps is fast and smooth although sometimes it does slow down from time to time. All in all amazing. 65 inch at 4K with 480 smooth motion with Dolby vision and atmos and HDR+ and android OS all for 1000. Almost bought a LG B9 but its 300 dollars more and only 55 inch.

Beautiful picture and Best Value QLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this TV for about 3 months now. The picture on the H9G is fantastic. The blacks are deep. The colors are vibrant. I haven't noticed any blooming. Mounting the TV on the wall was very easy. I took off one star because I have had some trouble with the Android TV and the Voice control. AndoidTV can be slow at times and the storage fills up quickly. If you fill up 80% of the storage on the TV you will experience slow performance navigating the UI. I recommend using a separate source for better performance. The voice control is only usable if you're searching something on YouTube or turning the TV off. The TV has a problem where the audio from the TV can set trigger the voice control and pauses the stream. This can get very annoying as you're watching your shows/movies. It is difficult to use the voice control with Netflix, Hulu or HBO if you don't know the exact terminology to use
