Hisense 75A6G really not good

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hisense 75A6G (1) Can't switch back from web browser to cable TV HDMI input. need unplug power cord and put back (hard restart. Restart the android system). During this situation, many functions not working including some functions under setup. Did update 1 weeks ago, still need unplug power cord almost everyday. (2) Power button at the bottom of the TV not helped at all (What is the purpose for the power button?). During situation 1, tis power button can't do anything. (3) contact the company tech support, sent me the link for the update one week ago. Because problem still appeared, contact again on Dec 7, no response back after 1 week now.

Excellent TV - Great Size - Great Picture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV is excellent. For a 75" TV under $1000 this fits every category that is important to me. Great picture quality, great screen size and very lightweight. I picked this up to replace a Hisense 65" from a few years ago, and I'm amazed to say that this 75" TV is LIGHTER than the 65". Obviously that's too be expected as technology advances. I was able to mount this TV on the wall pretty effortlessly. Still had to get a 2nd hand to help as the width of the TV is a bit too much for 1 person to manage on their own. This TV has 4 HDMI ports, all located on the back of the TV and facing sideways. It also has 2 USB ports. I think 4 HDMI ports is pretty common these days with TVs, but I remember having 4 on my first few flat screens which was over 15 years ago and I would have thought by now with the increase in the amount of devices that use HDMI ports that manufacturers would start adding more ports to the TV. Obviously this can be fixed by just buying a separate HDMI splitter but it would be nice to have it come built in. As is I have my Roku stick, Xbox One, Playstation & 4K Blu Ray player all using the 4 ports, so if I wanted to hook up anything else I'd have to find an alternative way of hooking everything up. This is not a knock against this specific TV, as like mentioned, it's pretty common practice for all TVs this day. This TV is also smart like most others. It has chrome cast BUILT IN which is nice and eliminates the need for a separate chromecast device. It uses Alexa and Google Home although I have not hooked this up to my Google Home network yet. Don't have any cons for this TV which is why I gave it a full 5 star review. Great picture, great size. Perfect for anything. Sports are great on this, and so is gaming. Plenty of customization with settings.

I will never buy this brad of electronic device again.

Save yourself the trouble and headache

I've had to factory reset it several times and it still has lots of issues. If you don't want to have keep unplugging the TV when it decides to start acting up, just to turn the TV on, look for another TV. This is just one of many, many issues with the TV. I don't recommend it.

Good Picture, Needs More Power

I never thought I would go back to an actual TV. You know what they say...size matters. But then Best Buy asked if I wanted to try out this 75" 4K Smart TV. Yes. Yes I would. Well after some shipping issues and what felt like an eternity, BOOM. Big TV was here. Just in time for College Football and conference play! First off, if you are wall mounting this TV, buy a good mount. I tried to go cheap first and it was a bad idea. Even though the specs for the mount said it would handle this TV, the arms bolted to the TV started to bend as soon as they were tasked with holding the TV. I quickly took the TV down and bought a more expensive mount and solved that headache. Granted the TV is not all that heavy for it's size, it's still worth protecting your new TV investment. Once the TV was up, setup was a breeze. Online and streaming in no time. If you have ever used Chromecast or a tablet, you will feel right at home. There are plenty of streaming options and even a Chromecast built in. Good work Hisense! Also, the image quality is pretty good. You get some motion blur during live sports, but it's not terrible. What surprised me the most was actually the speakers. I haven't used TV speakers in a long time. They have always been awful. Even on my bedroom television I had a sound bar. But the speakers on this TV are actually adequate and can be used on a regular basis if you so wish. Downside...I don't know if this TV lacks RAM or processing power, but it struggles at times to run even preinstalled apps. HULU is the worst offender. Constantly struggles to load the app, requires all other apps to be closed to have any chance at working successfully, and even then still likes to freeze between commercials and contest. A 75inch TV is hard to miss if I am throwing something at it out of frustration, so PLEASE HISENSE FIX THIS APP ISSUE!!! Overall, this is a pretty good television, especially for the price point. Yes, it needs some more braun, but it's worth the coin as is.

Great Budget TV

First a few things to point out. 1. it is not heavy (about 60lbs) but is awkward, so get help handling the box. 2. this comes with enough packing to make a raft for emergency survival (don't quote me on that). So here is the low down on this high rez monster. Good: good resolution easy to setup with all included hardware (no tools though) remote with all my favorite shortcuts (netflix, amazon, etc) well built stand and decent frame for tv itself. ability to tweak the color, temp, contrast, etc with no issues picture is great at most all angles (depending on your model. the odd numbers have IPS panel) changing type of sound is great (dolby, front sound, etc) and each has its purpose. voice activation on remote is very good at getting your commands correct. very nice 4k screen with great colors and separation. Bad: with solid white or black screen you can see the pixel shadows behind the plastic of the screen. So in high lit or dark programs you will see inconsistent colors across the picture. speakers are not very bass heavy, so for full spectrum sound you will need sound bar or external speakers. but for normal shows it is fine. this is only 60hz refresh so fast action is not fully smooth. Although you can adjust the fill frames in the settings, but that causes the frames to stutter sometimes. Ugly: if casting to the screen, it will not adjust to the rez of the source, so chromecast will "skip" frames and sometimes it will look like the background is fast than the foreground. information pop-ups will happen randomly during a show that has been distracting. It asked me to adjust a setting that was either not on the tv or was not easy to find to fix. if you are not used to 4k and have motion sickness, this will make you a little queasy until you get used to it. I was not able to adjust the resolution to 2K or 1080P(I) to play my game via the game interface. So the game would freeze trying to push out 4k graphics. So I am happy I got it. But, I think I will use this in the spare bedroom for special occasions or sporting events, since everday viewing takes too many tweaks per program.

I wanted a big TV but this one felt cheap and weak out of the box. My gut feeling was right when the screen was broken as soon as I plugged it in. The Sony was great though.

Great TV for the price

This TV seems to be great for both. The menu functions are very easy to operate and navigate. The picture is crisp and clear, the volume levels make this TV Great for large rooms or people that could be hard of hearing. The remote has clearly labeled single buttons for all your favorite apps making menu selection a breeze. All in all I would highly recommend this.

Behemoth TV

It took two sisters and two teen to wrangle it to its position on the entertainment center, although two guys could do the job just as well. Unpacking was VERY easy, as there are a couple of release tabs near the bottom of the crate. This allows you to just lift the top off the base. The packaging, materials, however, isn't environmentally safe; the styrofoam and plastic used (alot of it) will go directly into a landfill. Setting up the apps was very easy, the auto download of popular apps saved a lot of time. WiFi was a little challenging. When entering my password the on screen Keyboard kept disappearing. I Had to close out and start over 3 or 4 times The picture quality is decent. With the brand being related to Google I was thinking that it would be better, however I will check YouTube to see if there are any tweaks I can make for a crisper view. I'd give picture quality a 6 out of 10 (slightly over average) for now. The stand/feet for this large of a TV is way too small, and should definitely be beefier, IMHO. I'm seriously considering a wall mount or a stand to ensure stability The power cord could have been a bit longer, but it doesn't take away from the TV at all. And finally, I have this set in the living room with a high cathedral ceiling whos deminsions are aprx 25X30' so the speakers are inadequate, however in a slightly smaller room they would be perfect. In all, I am not in awe nor am I dissatisfied with the TV...just middle of the road. The price point allows for more TV however, compared to the name brands this one falls short but doesn't fail.

A few to many flaws.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I unboxed the TV I was impressed by the build quality. The fit and finish is really nice. Set up was easy, and the features and included apps are awesome. The TV tuner is amazing, and tuned in channels I didn't even know were available in my area. The speakers sound reasonably good, and play pretty loudly without distorting. But then I turned it on and started trying to adjust the picture... and that's where this TV falls on it's face. No matter how I adjusted it, I could not get rid of the back light bleed. On an all black screen there is a white/grey halo all the way around the edges of the screen, extending 3-4 inches into the screen and even 7-8" into the screen in some areas. The picture also has a hard time with fast moving objects and will show ghost trails behind the objects as they move. Sometimes if the objects are fast enough and it's a high contrast scene the picture will actually tear with the object stretched out across the area it's moving in. Also the picture has some pretty bad color/gradient banding as well, especially in really dark shadow scenes. And finally there is a bright ring of light about 4" in from the edge on boths sides and the bottom, and a shadowy dark area and then light area again at around 6-7" Overall I really like the TV itself, it looks great and has a great feature set. On live TV and other sources that are nice and bright from edge to edge , the screen blemishes kinda fade into the background and you don't notice them as badly. But when watching a movie, the screen flaws are bad enough that it distracts from the movie, a constant reminder that prevents me from getting fully immersed in what ever I'm watching. Especially if it's a movie with a lot of dark shadows. In conclusion I have to say that I don't recommend this TV. I feel like it would be money well spent to save up just a little more and get a TV with a better screen/picture quality.

Feature-rich with budget pricing

I have been using it for a few weeks and am pleasantly surprised by Hisense. I normally lean toward the better known brands such as LG and Samsung, but Hisense is in the mix. Android TV works great for me and the HDR quality is a welcome feature. I don’t have any complaints to mention. For anyone looking to get a large screen setup without shelling out a huge amount, then I recommend this TV. It has most of the features needed for your average viewer. Thanks, Hisense!

My first "BIG" TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't be happier!!! (Coming from a 55" 4K Vizio) I have had my Hisense 75" for about a month now. My 55" TV and even my family's 65" look small. Price 10/10 - I would love an 85" Hisense, but to go from 75" to an 85" (and still have android TV), it would be an additional $800. Picture 10/10 - When I pull up 4K videos on YouTube I can't believe how amazing the picture is. I don't pay the extra fee to have 4K channels but I think sports, movies, TV shows look great on YouTube TV. Sound 10/10 - TV comes with incredible speakers. (I was expecting lower quality but I am very pleased with the speakers on this TV.) When the volume is at 10 it feels pretty loud. (Volume can go to 100) Obviously, you can upgrade your own speakers but for my situation the speakers are perfect. Ease of use 10/10 - The TV is incredibly EASY to use. I love the remote, it's very responsive. The TV is FAST when switching between applications. Gaming - Connecting a Nintendo Switch to the TV for gaming is easy. I have not tried other systems but the Nintendo Switch looks amazing. Casting my computer to the TV is easy but there is a second delay from what I do on my laptop to the TV. I would not recommend casting from your computer to the TV for gaming purposes. I have not tried connecting my computer directly to the TV with a cord. Setting up the TV was easy. I would recommend 2 people because of the size (not weight) to get the stands on and set it upright. Literally screw in the 2 stands, stand TV upright, and plug in the power cord. After TV is upright, you can set it up by yourself. The stands are about 48" apart and 14" front to back (you will need a surface wider than 48" and more than 14" deep if you use the stands). NEGATIVES There have been one or two times, when I first turn on the TV, where I start to watch something and the TV will go back to it's home screen with all the apps. Because the TV is fast I am able to get back to my show quickly, but can still be annoying. My review does not have an assessment of setting up additional speakers. Also, I have only had the TV for about a month. I would buy another Hisense before Samsung. I've had too many issues with Samsung TV's in the past. I think for the price you pay, this might be one of the best deals on the market. Overall, I am a very happy customer!
