A solid mid level entry!
|Posted .This is my 3rd his Hisense tv. My 2nd with Dolby vision/HDR10. I love that Hisense has come into the tv industry 1st as a budget tv and then has established its name as a real contender. When my friends and family ask for tech advice on what tv to buy that has great price and great picture quality. I always recommend Hisense. With a reasonable explanation of what a mid level tv brings. I personally love this tv mainly because of the 75 inch size and the price you pay for the higher level Dolby vision features. BUT this a6g line isn’t perfect. But for the good. The size is obviously amazing. The sound is actually very good(I’m assuming because of the large chassis). Android tv works better than it did 2 years ago on my older Hisense tv. So that was a pleasant surprise. Very smooth and easy to navigate. No issues there. Also the WiFi seems to have been upgraded as it holds a better connection than most my tvs. We stream all day everyday and never any issues there. This tv has to built in stand points just in case you have a smaller tv stand. I chose the wider stand points as it makes me feel better. Build quality of the materials seems solid and sturdy. Chrome cast is built in and works well too. Remote has dedicated Netflix,YouTube, tubi, prime video,Disney+, and peacock. I have almost all of those. Very convenient. Though remote isnt backlit. Only bad thing about this tv is the light bleed. But this tv doesn’t have as many dedicated backlighting zones. But in the price point that’s understandable. Picture quality is still great while watching 4K and especially Dolby vision. Which is beautiful. I will be upgrading to the quantum dot variant of this exact model that Hisense offers. I’m sure that one will be great as well. But for this price point this is a great value. And a solid buy. Especially since Bestbuy usually runs sales on this tv. You will be happy. I am! Ps I recommend adding led lights as this this huge and plenty of brightness.

Awesome
|Posted .I got a 65 inch Hisense a couple of years ago. At that time, I hadn't heard of Hisense but it was a great deal for a 4K tv, which was a new technology at that time. I was super impressed with that one. When I saw this 75 inch Hisense, I knew I wanted it. Some might think 75 inches is a large tv for a bedroom but it fits just fine. It's nice to be able to easily see the program you are watching. Set up was super simple. We did need a new wall mount though. Although the mount we had could handle a tv of this size, the holes for mounting on the back of the tv were spaced too wide. That was an easy fix. Best Buy had them in stock and it was ready for curbside pickup in about 30 minutes. We plugged the tv in and connected the cables. When you turn the unit on, it goes through a start up and then walks you through a super simple setup. It connects to your network via wi-fi. It's an android tv so you have access to a multitude of movies and shows. It works with Google and I easily set it up in my Google Home. This means I can tell Google to turn it on/off, etc. It automatically loaded up the apps and let me choose which ones I wanted. I'm not stuck with canned apps that come preloaded that take up space and clutter up the interface. I can choose other apps from the Play Store. The tv also works with Alexa. There is a sleep timer as well as a power on/off timer. I can even set it up so that I can use an external keyboard. Chromecast is built in which gives you the ability to cast your pictures, music and videos from another device. I like the ability to cast videos, like YouTube videos that I come across while I'm on my tablet or phone. Casting a photo album from my Google Photo Library is really great. I love seeing all of my family photos scrolling as my screen saver. There are plenty of other settings as well. You can choose the sound quality that you want, with settings such as music or theater. There are also choices for your audio output such as the tv's speaker, ARC or Bluetooth. There are 4 HDMI inputs as well as the ability to use parental controls. There are also 2 USB inputs. The picture on this tv is beyond gorgeous. It often looks like you can reach out and touch it because the picture is so clear. It has 4 times the resolution of a 1080p tv. The remote is very user friendly. There are 6 buttons that are dedicated to Netflix, prime video, YouTube, Disney+, tubi, and peacock. I need to do some research and see if I can change some to other channels. I don't use Netflix or Disney+ but I do use Hulu and I'd like to be able to have those as one of my buttons. Another nice thing is that Hisense does provide updates for their tvs. Our first Hisense tv had an annoying power light that was on when the unit was turned off. Why? I have no clue. Because it was in our bedroom, I had to put electrical tape over it to block it out. People did complain about it and a few months later, there was an update where they fixed the issue. It's nice to see that Hisense doesn't just ignore issues but that they correct them. I'm not a media specialist or an audiophile. I do appreciate a crisp and detailed picture and nice, realistic sound. My husband and I like to watch a variety of programs. Some broadcast tv, a lot of streaming programs and a ton of YouTube vlogs. This tv works great and offers a lot of great features at an excellent price point. For us, it is a great addition that increases our watching pleasure.

Pretty impressive for the price
|Posted .I’ve always been an audiophile and that goes hand in hand with picture quality and TVs. I got this TV for my upstairs game room to have another TV location for the kids and myself to enjoy. The wall this is on is very large so it warranted a 75” screen but I wasn’t looking for something too expensive. Ill start by saying this TV is decently thin and the picture is excellent! I’m really impressed. Its very comparable to my higher end TV I have downstairs in my living room. I was not expecting the picture quality to be this good. I will say if picture quality is important to you, this TV will not disappoint. Dolby Vision is great! It was also very easy to setup. I’m used to apple TV as that is what I run on my downstairs TV but the android OS is very nice and this TV handles it well. It has all the popular apps and then some. The smart features are on point. It also has plenty of HDMI connections on the side. This is nice if you are hooking gaming consoles etc. The WIFI on tis TV works excellent as well. I have not experienced any buffering issues or anything like that. Time for the bad. The reason for the docked star. The sound on this TV is pretty bad. My wife and myself have a hard time hearing things occasionally and it’s a product of the poor onboard speakers. To be honest, I’ve never really had a TV that had impressive built-in speakers so to me this is quite normal. I will be purchasing an external sound bar to get around this issue. The remote is also horrible. Its responsive but feels very cheap and is very loud to click any of the buttons. I feel they could have done such a better job on the remote. The shortcut buttons are nice but I’m really turned off at how the buttons feel and sound. These are really the only two complaints I have and are pretty normal issues I tend to have with most TVs so it wasn’t surprising and is definitely not a deal breaker in any way. If you are looking for a nice quality TV without the large price tag, I would highly recommend this Hisense TV!

Very nice, very cheap...
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.75" Hisense A6G, $709.99. The first time you turn on this TV, immediately find the backlight adjustment and turn it down to 25%. I was about to return this after hours trying to get a decent picture. 100% backlight was the problem. It's like high beam semi-truck headlights tail-gating in your rear view mirror on a dark country road. You might go blind looking at that. With the backlight turned down, it only took a couple minutes of adjusting to get a VERY NICE picture from this TV. Next to it (almost touching) is a brand new Sony 75" X85J. Turn them off and you can hardly tell the difference, it looks like two identical TVs. Turn them on and the difference is obvious. They're easily compared sitting right next to each other. While using the signal from an antenna to watch old TV shows in low resolution, the $700 Hisense picture is FAR BETTER than the $1,600 Sony. On high resolution antenna broadcast, like commercials, the Sony looks much better, but the Hisense still beats the Sony. I've spent countless hours adjusting the Sony and can't get anywhere near the picture quality of the Hisense TV. Even while streaming 4K video, the Hisense picture is noticeably better than the Sony. The kick in the pants is... I retired a ten year old 55" Insignia LCD that beat both of these by a mile. It was impossible to miss the blatant differences in picture quality with all three TVs lined up next to each other. $1,599.99 Sony X85J - $709.99 Hisense A6G --------- $890.00 Difference The better picture is much less than half the cost. The Sony is "Google TV" while the Hisense is "Android TV." I prefer the Google TV, but they're very similar and the capabilities appear identical. One TV is used as a computer monitor for software development, while the other is for numerous video inputs. I expected to use the Hisense for the computer. Turns out, the Sony picture is fine for that while not as good for other inputs. Conclusion? Buy the Hisense if your criteria is cost. The picture is probably better than your eyesight. Get a soundbar that costs more than the TV. Cheap soundbars aren't worth the money. Pretend it's the 1970s. Play your music loud enough to rattle the windows! There's a hospital bed in my family room, with two bedside tables. It took a lot of work to set that up, but I can put any of seven inputs on either monitor (or both).

Q: Questiondoes this tv has bluetooth ?
Asked by Jose.
- A:Answer It has bluetooth capability and I use it quite frequently. The Bluetooth in my set is the hardest device to connect that I have ever found. This is true of the WiFi as well.

Q: QuestionWhy did Best Buy and/or Hisense remove the other Questions & Answers about this TV? Why do the specifications of this A6G TV now say 60hz is the native refresh rate? Previously the specifications said the native refresh rate was 120hz.
Asked by MichaelZ.
- A:Answer Hello Michael, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 75A6G. The native refresh rate of this TV is 60 Hz. To reduce judder/ display motion blur, Motion Enhancement (image interpolation) doubles the motion rate to 120 Hz by creating new frames and inserting them in-between frames. Q: QuestionWhere is my digital audio input for a soundbar?
Asked by Bmwa6g.
- A:Answer The 75" has an optical out in the center next to the ethernet and two other ports, 3.5mm and diagnostic iirc. It's facing the rear (towards the wall). Check your manual or download one for a picture, I think the other sizes have slightly different layouts.
