Great music from a true musical icon. From Captain Kennedy to Campaigner these are some of the best songs of his long and storied career. A must have for anyone who is a fan.

It is great to start seeing some of Neil's unreleased material from the 70's get released. This album sounds amazing. We all know most of the songs from other releases, but this is how they sounded when he first wrote and recorded them. Powderfinger, Pocohantas and Captain Kennedy especially sound very good. And the 2 previous unreleased songs are great, especially Give me Strength. It's good to see that one finally have an official release. If you like your Neil Young classic and acoustic, I would recommend getting this album.

    Long lost album finally released

A long lost Neil Young album that saw partial release on a variety of other albums has finally been pieced together and made available for fans. The sheer volume of Neil Young material has always been a feature of his career and an often quirky approach to his catalogue has meant many more than interesting songs often failed to appear in studio versions. More for the fan than the casual purchaser.

Newly found vintage Neil and at his best

Neil Young was on a major decade-long winning streak from 1969 to 1979 and "Hitchhiker", recorded in 1976, is arguably at the late apex of it - only him, an acoustic guitar, and a clutch of phenomenal songs. A far too long overdue release that finally sees the light of the day and a stark reminder of why Neil was such a major rock n' roll player then.

If you're a fan of Young's 'Harvest,' here's the album you've been waiting 40 years for. This is a very good album comprised of solely acoustic songs played through. Consider that Young just sat down, rolled the tape, and plowed through all of these songs in a (long) night. 70's Neil is always worth listening to and this is no exception.

This is Neil's long "lost" recording from the early 70's. It is a very good album, but much of it has been released in alternate versions over the years. Most of the later versions are better than these originals. That is not to say that it isn't worth the investment - especially to a true Neil Young Fan. It is still a very good album, and well worth a listen or two.

Acoustic Versions of Familar Songs From Neil

This music was recorded in 1976 with just Neil and an acoustic guitar and he is one of the few people that can hold your attention just by himself. All but two later turned up on future NY albums (in different versions). A worth collection to the Archive series for Neil Young.

Another great album being released decades late. But great if you like his music. And, you get to here the original versions of a couple songs that didn't get released initially, but came out on live albums or bootleg-like albums much after the fact. Great.

I’ve been a fan of Neil Young for many years. My father introduced me to him via Ragged Glory and Crazy Horse. I’ve seen him live a few times. This is a classic lost album never before released and its amazing. I’m glad it has seen the light of day.

If you like acoustic Neil Young this is a good recording for you. It seems that these may have been recorded as demos. The recording is very raw but clear. Neil Young on solo acoustic guitar doing songs which for the most part became known from later more elaborate, sometimes electric renditions .

The story behind this is a good one, which you can google on your own time, but the short of it is, some great songs fleshed out later in different versions found their conception here. I love Pocohontas and Powderfinger.

Several NY albums have been been appearing in recent years consisting of unreleased material. This was an album recorded in one night and it has a raw feel to it. Fans will want to add this one to their archives.

Although most of these songs surfaced on later records, these versions are quiet and direct. Not a masterpiece but a satisfying journey into Neil's most creative period.
