From the first movie depicting JRR Tolkien's book series The Lord of the Rings, to the final installment of The Hobbit true fans will always be enamoured by Peter Jackson & those wonderfully creative artists at Weta for bringing such an epic tale to the big screen. However what truly breathes life into these films is the Hauntingly Beautiful music of Howard Shore (with of course the assistance of Phillips Boyens, Annie Lennox & Billy Boyd). It is what helps turn these amazing movies into an experience that renders your heart in soulful places. This as well as any of the Howard Shore recordings of the music soundtracks from all of The Lord of the Rings & Hobbit movies are a must own for any music collector. It definitely does not disappoint! Listening to this brilliantly scored soundtrack transports your soul to a place in time that trancends time. A Must Own for music lovers!!!

Howard Shore has finished the Hobbit movie series on a high note. With Peter Jackson, Howard has done as beautiful a job in doing this soundtrack as the other 5. If you have enjoyed the music done for the other Hobbit movies and the Lord of the Rings series this one will not disappoint. And the Special Edition has lovely extras.

An argument can be made about previous Lord of the Rings scores being better to this-- however, fans of the Middle Earth atmosphere will not be disappointed by the music. You'll be ready to fight alongside the dwarves themselves with this soundtrack!

I have been a fan of all the Hobbit movies and the soundtracks. This soundtrack is eerie and dark and sad but tells the story. Love it so much and the epic conclusion makes more sense now with the soundtrack!

As he does with the first two Hobbit soundtracks, and all three LOTR soundtracks, Howard Shore beautifully captures the emotions and excitement of Peter Jackson's movie.

A fan of the Hobbit. A fan of soundtracks. This is the best of both worlds. If you liked the other Hobbit soundtracks, you will love this one. The best so far.

I bought this soundtrack because our family loves the Hobbit movies. The scores are lovely, and they "give you the feels", as my son likes to say. Wonderful music.

I really like the scores that Howard Shore has done for the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit Movies. The packaging on the deluxe sets is always a nice bonus too.

Howard Shore + Lord of the Rings/Hobbit scores = AWESOME. This is the version to get, since it includes extra tracks vs. the normal edition.

Once again Howard Shore creates a masterpiece with music that tells the story without words. The bonus tracks are always a nice added touch.

This soundtrack brings back scenes from the movie like you were watching it again. Listen and remember what was going on in the movie.

I loved the Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies film and I love the soundtrack ! This deserves an academy award nomination too !!

Howard Shore's score is a perfect ending to the Middle Earth journey! And, Billy Boyd's song is beautiful and heartfelt.

Another excellent addition to the Lord of the Rings CD collection. Great for travelling or as background music.

I really like this collection. The extra songs are worth the money. The Last Goodbye by Billy Boyd ties it to LOTR. Lots of pics & nicely done again.

The LOTR movies are probably my favorite movies. The music is just as good!
