Howard Shore is an adept composer with many years of high marks. I have all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings soundtracks because I'm a completest and I enjoy the music. Yet I would have welcomed more variety instead of carrying on previously established themes so closely. The Billy Boyd song is especially pleasing since it steps away from what the rest of the soundtrack sounds like.

As a fan of the Hobitt & lord of the Rings movies, you can't go wrong with this special edition.

We bought this and it was defective Disk 2 contained all the disk 1 tracks. Returned it and the second set had the same problem. Anyone else having this trouble? I really want the complete set as getting it without Billy Boyd’s song is a huge bummer, as well as everything else on disk 2.
