After the delays and the hype, the game delivered. I've only put in 8 hours so far but the game is well made, I can speak on the story writing much as I haven't finished the e game but so far it's interesting. The game mechanics are well thought out and designed. If you're a fan of the series or not, you'll enjoy it and appreciate it, it's worth it.

The game was actually crazy fun. Outside of the gameplay being solid, and decent there is so much to do and see throughout the free roam world. Best part was being able to adjust the setting down enough so my GF can play (deals with vertigo), she beat it on her like 100% completion beat it.

Still not sure about how I feel starting as a 5th year, but overall the game is great. Only had a few minor visual glitches, but visually stunning. The castle is huge! Thank goodness for the map! Just note that you can’t hold a lot, especially in the beginning, so make sure you sell off what you don’t need before you go exploring.

Bringing the wizarding world in a familiar, yet new way, Hogwarts Legacy delivers the best gaming experience in this universe yet. Incredibly fun game with so many exciting and challenging activities to do for extended gameplay that keeps going and going. Highly recommend to gamers and even newcomers to the wizarding world.

I personally don’t think it’s winning game of the year but if you love Harry Potter and the lore then this game is everything you ever wanted in a Harry Potter game although I do have little nitpicks like some puzzle seem to easy and the broom flying takes some getting used to but other then that great game and worth the buy

Easily one of the better games to come out in the last year. Feels like Harry Potter had a baby with The Witcher 3. Not sure if the deluxe add-ons were worth the price, and typically at this price you'd get a steelbook too. If you didn't buy this for the early access, you'd be better off just buying the standard edition.

I purchased HLDE for my adult son, and he hasn't stopped playing it. We are a family that watched HP together from when it was first released and this feels like the next step in the series. Watching the games and listening to the familiar Hogwarts accents and spells is fun to watch, even when your not playing.

A very entertaining game. I have had a little trouble getting use to casting spells and figuring how to get the spells placed on my controller, but with time I am starting to get the hang of it. It is a very good looking visual show, with great scenery. I think that everyone would enjoy playing it...

Avalanche Software and WB knocked it out of the park with this game. The amount of hidden things, small references and quantity of quests will have you entertained for days. If the wizarding world of Hogwarts captivated you at all in the past you will be pleasantly surprised at every twist and turn with this game.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, this game is a must. You almost have to be an open world/combat player. But this game certainly never leaves you will a dull moment! Great for lower skill gamers. Hard mode challenges some advanced players for sure. Would like to also say graphically it looks fantastic.

Despite the delay on game, I received the game today and absolutely love it, been playing for hours. The details in the game are surreal and makes u feel like you are actually there. So far this game is 10/10 recommended especially for Harry Potter fans. My wife even loves it’s and is playing as well.

Great immersive game, provides hours and hours of excitement. True meaning of open world, and the easter eggs tied to the movies are fun. Best part of the game even if you are not familiar with the series you can still enjoy the game without feeling loss.

To start, I've been a fan since the first two movies and then started reading the books. What I liked right from the start is you don't need to know anything really from the books or any of the movies to enjoy the game. I can't give a great take on the story since i haven’t finished, but between the main story and a couple of the side stories with other students I'm engaged and want to see it thelrough to the end. Hogwarts and Hogsmeade look great, and were fun to explore. Gameplay is generally solid with a couple minor gripes here and there, switching spell sets on the fly has gotten me a couple of times. The block/parry/dodge system is easy to learn, but targeting could use a bit of polish. I love flying around in the broom, the beast mounts are cool but the broom is still the best. Learning spells has been fun and the classes remind me a bit of how they are in the Persona series, you wont have a scene in one every day, but there are set ones you will see or participate in when you reach set goals. Inventory/item management is easy to do and i really like the outfit management, you can set appearance for each item of clothing based on what items you've collected. In other words, if you like the look of a particular hat but you just got an ugly one with better stats you can put the new one on and set the appearance to the one you like. What didn't i like? House selections could have been a bit more fleshed out, if you did the wizarding world quiz to feed into the game the scene is quick, if you didn't the scene apparently isn't much longer. Next issue, there's a night day cycle but rarely are there consequences for being out at night or somewhere you shouldn't unless the quest dictates you have to stay hidden. You're in a boarding school, why isn't there some kind of restriction. This could have added a bit more excitement to exploring. Some minor audio issues, in particular with owl notices being read, the voice track sometimes dips ehile everything else is the same level. It is a bug, you can reload and the same dialog will be back to normal. Student character models do have variance but alot of the facial features and expressions seemed to have a bit of "samey" feeling to them. Another issue is there was noticeable screen tear and pop in. The pop in usually gets triggered when flying and you'll see some details magically appear or block outlines in the sky suddenly blend in with the rest. The tearing only really occurred going up/down long flight of stairs. Annoying but not game breaking. Overall im enjoying my time with game and would recommend it to fans and non-fans who just want a fun action rpg.
