I'm surprised I never played it sooner. Great game.

Hollow Knight is a good metridvania game it is a little bit hard, I got stuck on a few bosses, but after a few tries I was able to beat them, the map is huge, there are some secret but overall I feel it is a bit empty. However if you like metroidvanias games you should give it a try.

Modern day masterpiece, Metroidvania game design with Souls style lore

I recommend this game to others since it is fun and the Bosses are awesome.

While there has been no shortage of indy Metroidvanias the past few years Hollow Knight stands alone among a select few that not only meet, but in most ways exceed the classic games that inspire them. Beautiful, varied environments. An intriguing world and lore that is expanded upon throughout the entire game, one new character and environment at a time. All of this would make Hollow Knight merely a great game, but it's all backed up by some of the best combat ever featured in a game of this style. It can certainly be challenging and will not be for all players, but it never feels unfair and when you do finally clear a tough boss it as incredibly rewarding.

Imhaving a lot of fun with this game, it gives you a good challenge but not to the point that you get frustrated, you will definitely enjoy this game if you like platform games.

Any nintendo switch owner who is pining for the glory days of side scrolling, Metroid style games, look no further. This game delivers mystery and atmosphere in spades. Don’t miss this game!

Bought and played it for the cool bug skull looking character and was blown away by the games art, characters, gameplay and story. This quickly became one of my favorites.

Great platformer! Some difficult gameplay but if you practice the pay off is worth it. Great design and all at a price half of Triple A titles, the complete package!

Similar to Super Mario but in my opinion this is more fun. The story is interesting. It is challenging at times but still is way fun. My wife really enjoys this game as well.

Hollow Knight is an absolutely stunning platformer!! Be warned you will die ALOT but it is so addictive that you just keep coming back for more!! Hollow Knight is one of my most played games next to Splatoon 2 and Luigi’s Mansion 3!! There is so much exploring that you can do and the graphics and sound effects are so beautifully stunning and immersive!! If I could give this 100 stars I would! If you are on the fence about purchasing this game just do it you won’t regret it!!

Great game, I highly recommend this masterpiece! The style and vibe are perfect, gameplay is challenging but not frustrating, and this game is not nearly the price of most Switch games. Pick this up if you get a chance!

If you live 2D games, this is the one to get. I’m 35 hours in on 1 run and I’m nowhere near the end. So much content and areas to explore

The atmosphere in this game is amazing! Along with the great story and gameplay, this is a great game for someone who likes platformers and a good challenge.

The story is compelling. The visuals are beautiful. It is a dark fantasy that would compete with the best bed-time stories (I regularly played the game before bed). The gameplay is fun and addictive. It is an easy game to pick up and put down. The level ups are interesting and meaningful. One of the best games I played in the past 10 years (for context, here are some of my favorite games: Fallout 4, Uncharted series, Dead Space).

While the game can be hard, it's one of the best metroidvania games of all time. With a gorgeous art style, you'll cherish your adventure through this great game.

This is was a surprise gift for my 12-year-old son who got a Switch in 2018. He did not know to ask for this game, but I did a search and it came up on all the top-ten Switch game lists. He would agree that it deserves the praise. The art style is "AMAZING," the level designs are outstanding, and battles are challenging and fun. This will not get old too quickly. Only downside is that it is not multiplayer, but it still deserves five stars.

Hollow Knight is one of the best metroidvania games out there and if you want physical this is your only option. Well worth the price!
