Incredibly difficult game, but very rewarding. The hand drawn levels and landscapes are candy to the eyes and the tone setting music really makes the game special. The game will test you, but overcoming those challenges is EPIC!

Everything about this game is flawless. The level design, the controls, the bosses, the amount of content, the music, the atmosphere, the story and lore, the characters, etc . . . I could go on and on, but let me just say that this is the single greatest Metroidvania ever made. Hands down. Unless you can't handle difficult games, you owe it to yourself to go out and try this immediately.

Hollow Knight is really a long adventure; if you like exploring huge beautiful caverns and trying to defeat enemies, within a nice soundtrack, you will love this game too. :) The graphics are unique and excellent. Hollow Knight is so much fun! :D There are so many helpful items that can be found or bought with in-game currency. Your Hollow Knight will get more effective at defeating enemies as you progress, new skills, in-game maps, and equip-able items. And if you find certain creatures you can travel to and from those locations quickly. This switch bundle comes with the 4 dlc upgrades, an interesting instruction manual, a map, and a 15% off of all Hollow Knight products promo code. Note: when you get close to perishing press the + button and select the third lowest menu item, something about saving and quitting. If you do that: all progress will be saved, you won't lose all of your Geo coins collected and have to fight your shadow to get them back, and you will start sitting on the last bench you sat on. (This is also very easy to do bc the game is made extremely well; almost instantaneous loading time.)

Where do I begin? This has been one of my most played games ever. I originally tried it out expecting to hate it due to difficulty, but I quickly fell in love with the difficult but fair gameplay. Truly a masterpiece of game design, art style is impeccable, and the soundtrack will stick with you long after you’ve beaten the game. It’s rare to find a game, especially an indie game, that nails every aspect of the experience. This is worth owning physically, digitally, and on every platform you have. Only downside is you will be anxiously awaiting the sequel that was announced five years ago and still not released.

Hollow knight is a very well crafted Metroidvania style game. I only have a little over three hours into it so far, but I’m already hooked. It has a fantastic score and environment that makes it genuinely exciting to explore and discover more about the world. It can be challenging, but is also very satisfying when you manage to overcome those challenges. Overall, I would recommend.

I bought this for my 12 yr old son as a Christmas gift and he loves it. It has a very interesting storyline, characters and nice graphics. He can't stop talking about it and thanked me a few times for getting it for him. I consider it a great purchase and would recommend.

Hollow Knight is the masterpiece that everyone has already claimed it to be. It's the type of game that slowly digs it's claws into you while gradually feeding you crumbs of sustenance while you beg for more. It's strength lies in how well it conveys emotion through it's areas and npcs. From calm brooding areas like the City of Tears to Deep Nest which will make even horror fans uneasy it always nails (Ha) exactly the mood it needs to. The NPCs are so similar to NPCs in a game like Dark Souls where they are in and out of the game fairly quickly, but their designs and especially the "voicework" are so fantastic that they stick with you throughout the playthrough. It's difficulty can initially be a barrier for some, but then you git gud. A truly enveloping experience for all gamers, not just fans of the metroidvania genre. A while back (before Dread was real), I was complaining about the lack of Metroid on Switch and a friend recommended Hollow Knight as a game to scratch that itch. Turns out, they were right. :-) This is the first game in a while to capture my attention. I bought it in the middle of some vacation time and spent hours playing it each day until vacation ended. The visuals are fantastic and parts of the soundtrack give me shivers. I can't recommend Hollow Knight enough. My only complaint is that I found gameplay a bit twitchy using the native controllers. Once I started using my SNES-style controller (and its d-pad instead of the joystick), things improved dramatically. If you like Metroid/Castlevania type games, buy this.

This fun 2D metrovania game with great soundtrack and gameplay. The story is very engaging and it’s great game to add your library!

Hollow Knight is a beautiful game. The art style is fantastic and truly a masterpiece. The game play is tough and the game can be unforgiving but if you are into tough games it is incredibly fun. Don't be fooled by its cute look, this game is fierce.

This is one my favorite games, of all time, The gameplay is awesome, the grind is thorough, and the feeling of accomplishment right up there with some of the best. The environment will pull you in, and challenge you. One of the best "metroidvanias" I've played.
