I have had lots of fun with this on my switch. Challenging game.

I was always skeptical on this game. I first thought it was going to be a childish game and BOY was I wrong! The graphics are absolutely amazing and the soundtrack sets the tone for each area you explore. Can be a little difficult at times, but that’s the beauty of a challenge.

Bought this for my little sister. The game was great but the process of receiving the digital game was a hassle. Instead of giving me a code to input like most places do, best buy decided to send an email with a link that takes you directly to the nintendo online account page. This would be fine, unless you were doing what I was and buying a game for someone else for Christmas. I had to save the email and keep it for over a month so that I could get my sister to sign into her nintendo account and redeem the game. Would have been much easier to just print out a code.

As far as Metroidvania style games go, this game has it all: tons of exploration in a huge and beautiful world, tight responsive controls, a well thought out and intuitive upgrade system, a stunning art style, and an amazing soundtrack. You cannot go wrong with Hollow Knight and can easily sink 50+ or even 100 hours into this game.

I am really bad at this game but still loved it. I definitely think it’s worth a pick up for the price and the top class content you get.

A great metroidvania that rewards exploration and skill
