We got a couple of these to supplement a Nest Hello doorbell. Works amazing for that. Announces when someone rings the doorbell, which we required since we didn't have an internal doorbell. The sound quality is pretty decent, and surprisingly loud. For the price we're quite happy with it, but I would choose something else if I wanted to do much music listening. (I hear the second gen is better for that.) Great for the price to get cheaply into the Google ecosystem.

The google home mini is a great assistant. It is easy to setup and pair with google chrome cast! It’s great to be able to be cooking and not have to grab the remote, instead ask google to change it to your favorite show on Netflix! The speech recognition and answering of any questions you would normally “google” is also a positive. The only negative is there are not as many smart home applications compatible with google mini compared to Amazon’s Alexa. Make sure to research specific compatibility before buying accessories.

We have a regular Google Home in our kitchen that my daughter loves to play games on, hear stories, listen to music, etc. but sometimes she drives me crazy with it, so she got one for Christmas for her room. She's loving playing with it, and I like that I can broadcast from the kitchen to her bedroom that dinner is ready without having to yell or walk down the hall. :)

This is the best gift you can buy for any one. Kids - check Adults - buy them a few smart plugs, a chromecast audio and they will be thanking you for life.

If you love technology you will love this easy to use and low price

If you want the weather forecast or current temperature its great. Beyond that its very limited. If you ask it to play a specific song it'll probably only be available if you subscribe for $9.99 a month which seems extreme. If you ask for an artist it will give you a "mix" which might be that artist or maybe another similar artist. Most questions it will tell you "I can't help with that". This is still in the toy stage.

You are looking at least expensive and most innovative product for holiday gifting Google has to offer. It has stylish looking (like a donut) which beats the Amazon Echo and easy to setup and use as home assistance. I enjoy telling "hey google" to play music, family games with my kid and news briefing in the morning to start my day. Your best investment ever for $30 when it was on sale.

This product is great. I have amazon Echo and this in the home for different reasons. Combine this with Chromecast audio and it turns my hi-fi system into a Spotify machine. It does a great job at alerting me to local inquires which the Echo struggles with. Although it doesn't work as well in my experience with the Phillips hue system, especially when picking colors and scenes.

I've had several of these mini's. There great to listen to music and turn lights on. They are very functional. Thank you.

Smart speakers are a dime a dozen these days, and this is one of the starter entries for sure. If you don’t mind Google knowing everything about you (they already do), then this speaker is fine. It has above average sound for the size and price. The functionality of Google Assistant generally beats out Alexa and puts Siri to shame. One frustration for me has been the volume touch controls... somewhat finicky in my opinion.

I received my Google Home mini super fast. It is a X-mas gift, so I have not had a chance to get any feedback, but the delivery from bestbuy.com was awesome!

I expected more from the device maybe my expectations are too much. It definitely has great sound for the device being so small I did get a echo dot. I will be testing it as well.

The mini is the braveheart's way of giving you a truly hands free home expierence. I can control my home from the bathroom it's amazing for those days after.
