Not worth the money based upon results

After he ran a quick speed test. He informed me that I was to call them out again, so he could add some additional parts. Once I saw that my original $ went towards that sole, visit, and nothing was done. I found a cheaper, more efficient way to address the situation.

Very unhappy with my Geek Squad setup!!!

Did NOT connect my other devices (iPad, laptop and printer) which were listed on the job sheet. I am not able to access internet connection on these devices. I made MULTIPLE calls to Geek Squad to resolve the issue by sending agent back to complete. Four days later I am still waiting, and have not heard ANYTHING. I was assured that the issue would be rectified promptly! I am unable to use the unconnected devices which is unacceptabe as I use these devices regularly! I am VERY disappointed and extremely frustrated. I bought the router and signal boosters from Best Buy and paid for Geek Squad intall and setup I paid $657.00 for these items/install and setup!!!!

The main problem regarding computer was not resolved and no recommendations for a solution was offered. I also wanted help setting up my Samsung kitchen appliances that I resentanly bought from Best Buy but was quickly told just to scan the QR codes and go from there which I had already tried unsuccessfully. A waste of time and money. I was very disappointed with this encounter.

Products Great BUT Geek Squad Basically Useless!

The products I purchased from BestBuy work great after installation, BUT Both the in home so called ‘expert technician’ that installed my network & their online help services were TOTALLY USELESS! Installer knew absolutely nothing about how to set up a network (asked me where I wanted them set up), so no value added from a self install would have been & 2 attempts to get assistance from the Geek Squad were frustrating & no help. Ended up finding fixes on YouTube after wasting a half hour online with a Technician who would not call me on the phone to walk me though the needed fixes. Canceled my yearly plan well before the 30 day trial period expired. HOWEVER only $50 of the $199 yearly subscription cost was refunded. BestBuy kept the other $149 to cover the cost of my ‘Expert Home Installation Services’! Wish I had done self install & saved a useless $149 ‘installation’!

RONA!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return the item because their was no phone line to the modem I bought.....which would have been discovered in the home appt hookup buuuuutttttt RONA showed up and I couldn't get in home for months. So I tried to install w/ lots and lots of time and effort between Comcast and myself. So MY PROBLEM was never resolved and I had to redo everything Comcast. I wanted my own modem and how I got out the store w/ one totally inadequate for my needs LIKE A PHONE LINE....I'm not very entharlled w/ Best Buy. I do more work trying to figure out crap that SHOULD BE FIGGURED OUT ON YOUR END. I get so much conflicted info, mischarges, hard time with refunds and what will be done with my GEEK SQUAD protection that was not available IN HOME for months. Will I get refunded or renewed at a discounted rate?

Geek Squad tried his best

The first time was told by the optimum person this model must be defective. G.S. exchanged it for new model and when working with optimum was told it's not compatible with my router. When he questioned several people no one ever heard of such a problem. Sooo he returned the modem for me as it was not cost effective to purchase a new router in addition to the modem. P.S. My geek squad installer was great.
