I purchased the Google Home after fiddling around with wireless home connectivity using the Amazon Alexa. The Google Home easily blows Amazon out of the water. Better voice recognition, snappy response time and better handoff to other devices. Plus the Google Assistant does such a good job answering questions and commands that it will make Siri start packing her bags. Time for Alexa to take a trip to the dumps, there's a new voice assistant in town!

I love my google home. I mostly use the alarm feature, and play a lot of pandora. The speaker is great for the size, it really can get loud. I don't have to raise my voice for it to detect my commands. I can say hey or ok google in my regular voice and it catches it even if I am on the other side of the room. It doesn't always understand your questions, and there are certain things that it lacks like adding events to your calendar or reminders. I wish it could!

The google home speaker is great for listening to streaming music, finding out the weather forecast, setting timers and alarms, and asking questions. Because we live in a home built in 1924, trying to set it up to make it a smart home controller would require a lot of additional purchases. That’s why I am only giving it 4 out 5 stars, plus the google assistant is a bit slow to learn, so there is definitely a learning curve.

Google home is a great product! Easy to setup, it can hear me across the room, and the design is excellent!

I love my google home. There is so much that the google home can do that I am discovering new things all the time. I have one in my room and one in my living room. They fit in with My decor in both areas. You can have google play music ( the sound is awesome), read the newspaper, play nature sounds( my favorite). For the price you get a device that is very helpful.

It is very useful now, Playing music, getting calendar reminders, setting timers, listening to podcasts. One current downside is that it can only connect to one google account. no fun for a family environment, I would also like to change the trigger command. saying ok google or hey google gets old. the sound quality is much better than your average Bluetooth speaker, I have it in our tv/kitchen great room and it easily fills the room with sound.

Easy to set up and operate. Biggest issue for me is the "ok google" prompt that sets off my phone and tablet, and any other android device that is in the area. Hopefully, they will allow for different voice prompts that people can use. Also, not a whole lot of devices that the Home can connect to, but good thing there is the app "IFTTT" that can be the interface to other devices. Google has a long way to go to catch up with Echo. If and when they do, it could be a 5.

This is a great way to start into home automation. It has a nice sound and fairly easy to set up.

Google home seems more responsive than alexa. Google is way batter than bing. The speaker is good, but sometimes the sound is kind of wierd and hard to listen. Overall, it is worth buying.

Works great. Very easy use. Manages all Philips Hue lights and Aurora. Loving house automation.

Excellent as a gift. Makes life simpler. Speak and its done. A debut to the future. A virtual robot that controls and calls other devices into order. Has download capacities for upgrades.

I resisted buying this because I thought "What would I do with it other than getting weather and traffic updates?" That's definitely useful. But it has a lot of little things such as setting timers, asking it for the time, playing music, and maybe my favorite controlling Netflix. Other than the Anova precision cooker, I don't have any appliances (or bulbs) that I can control with it. But overall I'm still happy with the purchase

Confuses my lights sometimes, and playlist is limited. also, OK google is an annoying phrase vs. Amazon's "Alexa" phrase. If using overseas, only play music subscription works, no pandora.

I feel like I'm in the future this device it turns lights off and on turns the gas on and off I really love this

Worka great! Setup was very simple and works very well with apps. While this is still in its infancy, Google already has a massive amount of data that it can use to assist you. I can ask how's the weather? What's on the shopping list? Etc. I'm still learning how to use IFTTT in order to automate some of the things I'm normally used to (like turning on the porch light, etc) but like everything it takes time. Overall, good buy and happy with purchase.

Ever since I got this I've used it every day. Its a great piece of technology that enhances you're daily routine but doesn't require you to change any of your normal habits such as checking your phone or logging in to a computer. I'm now able to get the information I want just by having a conversation while working through other tasks. Since having this I've purchased some smart lighting which has also come in handy. Before Google Home, to watch TV in our basement we would turn on the basement stair light, go down to the basement, turn on the living room lights and then walk back up and turn the stair light off or stagger so one person could wait at the top of the steps. Now I just say google turn on my basment lights and we go down. When we're done, we just walk upstairs and I tell google to turn off the lights. Awesome! I also like being able to cast music around my house or even from the Google Home unit just by asking. I'm quite taken with this device and can't wait to see what options Google adds next.

I love this product. Connected to thermostat for voice commands and great built in speaker. Love it!

Im still learning things about google home.love the sound that it puts out.use it a lot to play music.
