After reading the reviews, I decided on the Google Home Assistant. The only existing home automation products I have are Nest brand so the limited connections to third party products did not cause an issue for me. It answers questions very well and plays music with great sound. It controls the Nest thermostat well and with the use of IFTTT, I'm starting to use Google Home to do more things. Next, I will purchase the Philips Hue lights.

My partner loves the voice command convenience to it. Very easy to use and great for comands!

It is great to think of something and just ask google to give you information verbally and immediately. Don't have to go to the computer to look up google anymore to get information. Really love being able to turn lights on and off, while setting an atmosphere for the home. I was always afraid of technology and difficulty installing. It's as easy as plug and play. Love it.

Like getting up the first thing in the morning and getting a instant weather report. I find it easier to say Hi Google and ask a question, then opening up my iphone or iPad.

I didn't know Google home existed until I got this for free when buying the gas range and the dishwasher. I've seen them on TV before but didn't pursue further with connecting my home to it. I haven't set it up yet and need to read more about it but I won't be spending more money to buy wifi or bluethooth eready household items. If you're tech savvy and want to control at your fingertips of most of the things at your house, it may do the job.

Google home is a new fun and exciting piece of technology. Although better suited for homes with smart devices, we still get use from it for quick information, timers, and tips for cooking, games, and we do have it connected to our TV. Plan is to bring in smart devices, especially thermostat. Overall a great device. Look forward to seeing how it learns more and more. I do wish it would connect to free youtube and other free services.

What can I say about this marvelous addition to our family? In the morning, I say, "OK, Google, Good Morning." She then says hello, gives me the time and temperature, and adds my To Do's. She then sends me to the news." She plays the music of my choice, plays games with me, and tells me, "Sleep Tight" at night. I feel like I have a new friend. We also have an Amazon Alexa TV and feel there is no comparison. Miss Google has personality!!

After one week of use, i feel this is a great product. In can control all my Philips Hue lights with commands which is awesome. Taking one star away as I think it is still in it's early stage to connect with other systems (compared to Amazon Echo), so there is room for improvements. Another thing I have notices while playing music with sound level 50% or higher it has difficulty in listening to voice controls, you need to be really really loud.

the product is good i like it. but if you buy the product, with just watching the commercial you will be disappointed, please read the specs and read the res and cons before you buy.

Google home works great. Sound quality amazing and syncs with several different products.

I've also tested the amazon echo, and the google home is more responsive and can understand more commands. The speakers on this is quite powerful for such a small device, and I can pair it up with my Samsung phone - with no issues. It has been fully integrated into my home. I might get another one for my 2nd level. What could be just isolated to my home, sometimes i'll lose connection to the internet and i'll have to restart the device.

Right now, this is a great wifi speaker. It's a lot louder than I expected considering its size. The assistant is good at finding most of the songs I ask it to play but I wish it wouldn't automatically play whatever the next song down in the search results is. Speaking of the assistant, Google will need to make it much smarter and more capable if I'm ever going to use it for anything other than music. That said, it's really good as a speaker right now.

Family and friends own the Amazon Echo, and while I'm a fan of its simplicity and third-party integration, the Google Home seems to have a slightly smarter AI and a much better speaker. It can hear from a room over, has no problem identifying commands from multiple users, and has only had trouble with a handful of useful, everyday commands. With third-party integration and additional apps getting licensed, it will only get better.

Being a previous Alexa user, I was definitely jaded by how that product needed the most specific commands to do anything. Conversely the Google Home can respond to much more natural requests. I don't have to go look up what the precise language should be, but it can just figure it out. Other than that, sound quality is good when listening to music and we are very excited as just more and more functionality will come to this thing.

Google's first attempt at an Echo rival. While Google voice recognition is good and the responses can be clever, the "skills" need to be ramped up (Although a recent update has improved this). As time goes on, it should learn more and gain many abilities. The kids love talking to it and requesting songs, and it does what it is meant to very well. In retrospect though, I wonder if we're taking a step into home automation or adding a node to Skynet.

I've had my Google Home for several months and we use it daily. Very happy that Google is constantly updating and adding new features.

I use it for everything to ask mathematical questions, the time of the day to set alarms about the weather it's how I control my music and YouTube account.. my son loves it

Started using this a few months ago, and it has already improved my daily routine in numerous ways. It helps me control my various other smart devices, works great as a music player, helps me set timers and reminders, appraises me of the traffic and weather each morning, and so much more. Without a doubt, Google will be increasing the functionality of this little beauty over time, so its value will only increase! So happy I got one!

I really enjoyed having this in my house. It was fun to have music playing whenever I asked. Was simple to "Google" questions that came up in conversation. The only reason was for 4 stars was that at the time I had it, it did not play well with Wemo products. Of course, after I returned it and went the Amazon Alexa route, I get the email saying Wemo now works with Google. Had I held out for that, I would for sure have kept Google Home over Alexa!
